quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

I love my Quip toothbrush! So much so, that I purchased one for my husband. They make it so easy to to set up reoccurring deliveries of new heads (change 'em every three months folks!) and batteries. The 4 pulse pause reminders are a simple way to remember to change where you're brushing as well.
Feedback
From time to time, when the head/battery is changed, the toothbrush won't vibrate. It eventually works it's way out, but very inconvenient to have a non functioning electric toothbrush.
It is definitely better than a normal toothbrush, but not nearly as good as some of the other electric toothbrushes on the market.
I have been using Quip for about a year. I use the electric tooth brush and purchased the floss dispenser. I enjoy both however I feel they are less powerful than traditional tooth brushes. That being said, Quip brushes are smaller and I think they are able to reaching teeth further back (I still have my wisdom teeth and this works great to reach them!). Every 3 months I get a new brush head in the mail and that is great for me too. Low cost and easy shipping!
Feedback
I wish the electric brush was more powerful-- it feels almost like superficial vibrations!

Works basically like a regular toothbrush except is shakes a bit. Not very strong vibration and kind of pricey. I do like the look though.

Stronger vibration!
I used Quip for 3 years and really loved it until I went to the dentist to find out for the first time in my life I had cavities. Can't entirely attribute it to Quip but the dentist recommended I move on to a different toothbrush.

The user experience is great, but the science and technology could use an update.
It's just a toothbrush guys
I did use it for a bit. It's a pain to open and replace the battery - I stopped using it because I meant to get a rechargeable battery for it and instead just got an Oral-B brush. I would recommend it as a travel toothbrush, rather than carrying a bulkier one around.

I previously bought a quip toothbrush because of their slim modern aesthetic and the positioning of an easy-entrance to electronic toothbrushes. My quip did not last one year before it broke, and the head was quite flimsy. The base was nice and sturdy and had a great feel, but it was incredibly difficult to separate the head and base to change batteries or change the brush head.
Feedback
Create a better mechanism to separate the brush head and base.
Quip for aesthetic purposes is super nice. The quality of their products design and materials are great. However I feel they’re lacking in the necessity to actually perform as a toothbrush. I find that the toothbrushes make more noise than they actually vibrate which makes it almost equivalent to using a regular toothbrush in my opinion. I think they’re a great option for short term use like travel as they’re sleek but won’t give you the pearly whites you’re looking for.
Feedback
They definitely need to upgrade the technology and functional design of the toothbrushes to actually clean teeth well.
It’s not the most powerful toothbrush, but I do love the timing feature. Not only does it time out 2 minutes, but it breaks it up into 30 second increments for each section of your mouth. I do wish the bristles were a bit stronger/tougher and that the vibration was more powerful. Super simple, and easy to travel with as well.
I got the rose gold metal one and I think it's just okay. The packaging and design are super cute, though! It's not a very strong vibration so I don't feel like it brushed my teeth better than a regular toothbrush.
Feedback
I found the on button really hard to press and the price is pretty high for what is basically just a regular toothbrush with a tiny amount of vibration.
I love the toothbrush— it’s helpful in tracking time so that I properly brush for at least two minutes. I also found it helpful in helping me lower pressure when brushing.
Feedback
It would be 100/100 if it didn’t run off of batteries and could be recharged for those who don’t use rechargeable batteries.

Got a toothbrush and floss set, with auto refills. Honestly, I think a disposable vibrating drug store toothbrush will do a better job. The brush itself was more of a basic kind of brush.
Feedback
The quality of the brush and of the floss itself.

I bought the rose gold quip toothbrush and it broke almost immediately. I received my first replacement head, and it never stuck onto my brush. It kept falling off as I was brushing my teeth. I emailed and called the company about it and they just kept sending me replacement heads that kept popping off. In addition, the brush never left my teeth feeling clean, I listened to more ads from them and realized the “sonic vibration” is only marketed as a timing device, not as a cleaning feature.

The design, customer service, everything needs improvement…

The concept is fun and the packaging is as well. I just think for an electric toothbrush it should be a bit stronger in power. But I love how easy it is to travel with these
I have had a fine time with my metal quip for years, but when I got the plastic one for travel, it broke within 2 months of normal use. Customer service was great and replaced it. Sadly, I have learned it’s a glorified manual toothbrush as far as dentistry is concerned. I’ll use up what I have left and maybe keep it as my travel brush and buy an actual electric toothbrush.
Stylish looking but broke within a few months. Woke me up by vibrating randomly at night. Horrific experience. The clean itself was also unremarkable - I’ve had better cleans. Shame that yet another toothbrush is going to landfill
I really loved my Quip at first. It didn't feel like anything groundbreaking in terms of cleaning my teeth, but I loved the look of the toothbrush and the case, and the convenience was great. However, after only about a year of having my toothbrush, the motor constantly turns off while I'm brushing my teeth regardless of if I replace the batteries. The quality just doesn't seem great for the price.
Feedback
The longevity of the toothbrush should really be improved. It's disappointing to have it basically stop working after a year.
While the toothbrush looks very nice, it's nothing special since the vibration is quite weak and I would prefer softer bristles. I enjoyed using their subscription service until they started building up, since they were sent more often than needed. Since I brush gently, my toothbrush head still looks like-new and my batteries usually last for a very long time (6-8 months). They also make it very difficult to cancel the subscription, which makes me dislike the brand and their seemingly duplicitous practices.
Feedback
Please make it easier to cancel subscriptions, and send batteries less frequently so your consumers don't contribute to unnecessary waste.
I tried out Quip when they first came on the market a few years ago. I love the minimalist design so much. Unfortunately after a few months, the head of the toothbrush would pop off while I was brushing. Customer service was great and sent me a replacement, but then my gums started hurting a lot. Once I switched back to my old electric toothbrush, my gums stopped hurting. Hopefully the design issues have be improved since I tried it, but I'm not eager to try it any time soon.

Love the design, but the functionality in general needs improvement.
