quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

  • For the longest time I was using a standard toothbrush, but once I turn to the spray on my teeth and never felt cleaner. I was missing out for a long time, but now I feel in.

  • Nice design and is very portable - great for travel. The downsides are that they’re pretty expensive and the brushing action is too weak to me. It feels like the thing vibrates and doesn’t move the brush head much…at least compared to my other brand of electric toothbrush.

  • I used to have a subscription with them but it took 2 weeks for refills to ship within NY. I started buying their replacement at target but think their pricing model for their retail availability is not worth it.

  • While I ultimately ended up cancelling my services with quip do to unsatisfactory customer service interactions, I can’t deny they make the sleekest, cutest tooth brushes in the game and I think the concept is great. The reason I canceled is because customer service wanted me to jump through hoops to prove to them my toothbrush was faulty. It didn’t work right and the head was impossible to remove come replacement time. I had a second one from them and did not have this problem. Instead of just sending me a new one, they wanted a bunch of photos of the toothbrush (I don’t know what this would have solved) ahd to send the entire toothbrush back which was kind of gross as I couldn’t get the head off. Wish it could have worked out as I’m still in the market for an electric toothbrush as cute as theirs.

  • i’ve had a quip toothbrush for a while. and then the battery ran out. and i didn’t have any replacement heads. and then i honestly forgot about its existence. i have since found it from where i stored it. and i have replacement heads now. the quip is now used as my travel toothbrush! it stores easily in my toiletries bag and it’s one of the less bulkier electric toothbrushes which makes it easy to travel with. all you need is a single AAA battery. i also own the floss. which i carry in my bag every day. easy to use. i love the reusable holder and its easy to clean and sanitize as necessary.

  • Love the toothbrush but after less than a year it stopped working and customer service never got back to me so I had to give up and buy a different brand.

  • My quip brush heads frequently became ineffective as the bristles lost strength quickly. The vibrating never worked as it should, either. It has been extremely difficult to cancel the subscription.

  • i liked the quip toothbrush as well as toothpaste. giving it a 4/5 because it’s really hard to replace the battery and toothbrush head.

  • I am a long time quip subscriber! I’ve had two different brushes (started with a simple gold and then ordered a limited edition color) and have purchased a separate travel cover. The cover that comes with the brush gets grimy especially if you use it to stand up the brush.

  • The bristles are far too firm and mine constantly always breaks. The battery dies so frequently. It is also so hard to get the head off. But the vibration is nice and the sleek look is nice.

  • I did not feel like it cleaned my teeth well for an electric toothbrush.

  • Upgrade your brushing routine with Quip! 🦷✨ Experience the perfect blend of sleek design and effective oral care. Quip's toothbrushes not only look great on your bathroom counter but also provide a gentle yet thorough clean for a brighter smile. Say goodbye to the ordinary and embrace the simplicity and style of Quip. Your daily routine just got an upgrade!

  • Doesn’t really get all the plaque off your teeth and my semiannual dental cleaning appointment they said I had a lot more plaque than normal. Switch over to a higher end electric toothbrush

  • I really like my quip toothbrush, first from an aesthetic perspective, second for the regularity of their refills, and third for sheer functionality. The travel case is awesome (although for whatever reason won't stick to my current bathroom mirror...it did fine at my old apartment so that seems like a my house problem), and them sending auto refills is the only reason I remember to change out my toothbrush. The only thing with them is that I think the uncoupling of the head from the handle is harder than they claim--I know many people (self included) who have followed the instructions and still found that the handle side plastic broke. However, I received excellent customer care when that happened, and got a replacement quickly. It's just nice for the day to day items in my life to be useful and pleasant to look at and interact with, and this toothbrush definitely is.

  • quip has pros and cons as do most things. The convenience, aesthetic, and cleanliness of this toothbrush is likely unmatched. I'm still trying to find an electric brush that looks as good and doesn't get crud stuff in between the remove-able head and the base - impossible. But, quip's seamless design nailed it. The only thing is that quip is not powerful enough and doesn't clean my teeth as well as other options. I like their ingenuity, the solar-powered rechargeable batteries were pretty cool, but I need something stronger and oscillating.

  • I got their battery powdered travel electric toothbrush in pink (and on sale, $14) and I LOVE it. Firstly, it has its own travel case that matches the toothbrush and it looks so sleek. Secondly, as someone who uses an electric toothbrush at home, it’s really nice to continue to do so when traveling. Also, when you’re traveling…you’re exhausted, you don’t want to have to do more than you need to, just use an electric toothbrush.

  • I was an early adopter of Quip, drawn to its affordable approach to electric dental care. The sleek design and battery operation were a significant draw, eliminating the bulkiness often associated with electric toothbrushes. Moreover, the convenience of their subscription service, which dutifully delivers a new brush head every three months, aligns perfectly with dentist recommendations for optimal dental health.
