Public Goods earns mixed reviews: many praise the clean, minimalist design and effective basics—from ramen and dish soap to shampoo and stoneware—while recurring complaints target the mandatory $79 membership model and inconsistent quality (leaky refills, watery shampoos, weak candles). Reviews indicate the brand works for aesthetically cohesive, lightly scented, non-toxic essentials, but buyers wary of subscriptions, plastic in refills, occasional stockouts, and hit‑or‑miss formulas should proceed selectively.

The corn flakes and honey puffed spelt cereals are crunchy, light and delicious. We could not find such yummy cereal with such clean ingredients anywhere else online or in our local stores. The Wildflower and Linden flower honeys are the real deal. Delicious, deep, floral honey flavors. We can feel in the back of our throats that these are truly minimally processed honeys when we eat them. The olive oil is a great price and also tastes very pure and delicious. It’s comparable to more expensive olive oils we buy from other brands. We also love the fluffy organic towels. They are more luxurious and feel better on the skin than many other organic towel materials we’ve tried from other companies.

I've been switching out all of my self-care and home products with products from Public Goods. I am obsessed with their shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. The scent is incredible and I'm hoping they release an essential oil blend and/or personal fragrance with that scent! I've just recently started using some of their other skincare products and been very pleased so far. All of their products are clean, natural, vegan, and [most importantly to me] cruelty-free. I really appreciate their mission of focusing on the quality of the product, rather than the branding and marketing. But, as a consumer who is VERY easily swayed by creative marketing, I love the stripped-down look of their branding. The products have a very high-end, luxury aesthetic without breaking the bank and they look great out on the counter and in the shower. I've found everything to be reasonably priced, especially compared with other brands selling similar or subpar products. The customer service, on the rare occasion I needed assistance, has been super quick to respond, friendly, and accommodating.

The shampoo & conditioner is what initially sold me on this brand. They both smell great and make my hair feel wonderful. My daughters are converts too. Since then, I've tried their Ramen, which is chemical-free and delicious; this is a staple in my home now. I also like the hand soap and have tried many other products including the salsa -- yum! Look for sales and if anything arrives broken or damaged, the customer service rocks! Five stars!

Compliments to the team at Public Goods. I recently ordered a product on line that I very much enjoy not only because of the care that goes into the creating of the product with healthy ingredients but also the care that goes into creating the container which is made with sustainable materials. Unfortunately, the container did not remain in tact during shipping. No worries though, the team at Public Goods graciously and immediately sent a replacement that did arrive fully in tact. Thank you.

I've been a member of Public Goods since their Kickstarter campaign and have been an active user of their products (primarily personal care and home goods). I very much appreciate their commitment to non-toxic products and customer service. If given the choice, I would choose Public Goods over many other online retail services simply due to their high quality products and superb customer care. I haven't bought many of their food items or pantry staples, but the ones I have purchased have been good. Taking off one star because the app has been a little buggy for me (and very sensitive to touch scrolling) - it often adds things to carts that I didn't want to click on. I generally prefer ordering through their website, which is easily navigable. Additionally, some of their items are much pricier than that of competitors in the market and it's really hard to tell why - e.g. the micellar water. Outside of that, I am an avid user of PG and often gift their items to friends and family (helps that the products look good, too!).

I like their paper products, and their re-fillables for soaps and cleaners are great for reducing the number of bottles I use! Their dish soap and sponge combo is a bit weaker than what I need it for, and one tube of toothpaste I ordered came out with a busted seam at the top, but overall I love the convenience of getting sustainably made household goods. The French press and bath mat are still my favorites.

Outstanding products and customer service but disappointing that no discounts are provided for buying lots of products. We setup 3 Airbnb with your products and provide free marketing but no benefits from you guys. Thx

this was my third time ordering from public goods and my biggest order yet. it shipped to me quite fast so that was already a plus. the way it was all packaged was wonderful. I was worried some stuff may come broken but it was packed so well that there were no issues. it came with a free tote bag and it is amazing. such good quality. their ramen is some of the best there is although they need to try to lower the sodium. that's about my only con. they make high quality products that I will continue to use. shipping is free when. you spend $45 and to me that's easy to do. I will continue to order things from them and am actually excited to try other things. I love that everything is organic. the prices are fair to me. especially on their vitamins like mens multi, melatonin, etc. if you do need customer service they are very responsive and knowledgeable. so overall: quick shipping, great products, fairly priced, great service. worth it!

I love that there's a brand I trust out there to have clean products and has a lot of variety instead of just one category of products. Having just one item for each product is helpful too where you don't have a lot of choices to make. The prices for the most part are reasonable too for what it is. Any issues with the products received are also immediately addressed very well. Customer service has been wonderful to work with. Shipping has been quite fast and reliable as well.

Great customer service. Decided to try theee products because I’ve seen them at my Pilates studio. And I like that it’s non toxic.

I like the products like the shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and toothpaste. Sometimes the packages arrive damaged, but they send replacements or give credit. The customer service is good.

This brand is AMAZING! 1) They use sustainable and minimalist materials so products are low waste and I know exactly what is in them. 2) It is not expensive because of the annual membership fee. This initially made me wary to spend $90 additional yearly, but the fact that it is broken down to being so little ($7 a month) and the cost of products being so inexpensive it is WELL WORTH IT. 3) The customer service team is amazing. They were so helpful throughout the process of me wanting to cancel my free trial (which is a great way to try Public Goods out). I actually loved the team’s communication and helpfulness so much I decided to become a lifetime member. I really never leave reviews (this is not sponsored or anything), but I love this company very much.
