Prequel earns strong reviews for efficacy—hydrating cleansers like the Gleanser and Barrier Therapy body moisturizer soften skin without stripping, and Lucent-C visibly brightens—while a few products divide opinion. Reviewers praise gentle, science-driven formulas and oversized, face-and-body versatility, but cite issues such as the Gleanser’s slimy texture, a strong Vitamin C scent, mixed results and awkward ergonomics from the Silicone Scar Stick, and at least one underwhelming oil cleanser.

I have used several of the Prequel products and they are all winners, and its the only brand i have really got my husband to regularly use! Gleanser - The texture rakes abit of getting used to but once you do its an excellent cleanser that doesnt strip your skin. My husband especially likes it. Hydrating Serum - I fantastic hydrating serum that does not feel sticky on the skin. Urea Body Lotion - A great light weight body moisturiser. Great for people who don't love how body creams feel as it dries super quick Hand Cream - This is now my ride or die. Can't live without it. Just sinks in and really wraps your hands in a hydrating barrier. Half & Half - A great light weight moisturiser if you have oily/combination skin. I was using it in the toner stage of my routine but it's alittle too thick for that (at least for me) Acid Milk Peel - Nice & gentle chemical exfoliator that i use several times a week and does not irritate my skin. Oil Cleanser - Probably my least favorite product but it does the job.

For years I was a body-oil-only person when it came to moisturizer, but this winter that officially stopped working for me. My skin was dry all the time in that particularly offensive way where it somehow felt oily and dehydrated at once. I already loved Prequel, and Barrier Therapy ended up being exactly what I was looking for. It goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave behind that sticky feeling that makes you immediately start dressing more delicately afterward. What surprised me most was how well it actually moisturized. With body oil, my skin felt soft, but if you looked closely it still had that slightly dry, almost crepey look. Barrier Therapy really changed that. I put it on after my shower at night, and when I wake up the next morning my skin still feels hydrated and comfortable. Now it’s one of those products I keep repurchasing before I’m even close to running out because I genuinely don’t want to be without it.

This is my new favorite face wash! I’ve been doing a double cleanse with the oil first. It’s been working so well, it’s leaving my face super soft. It’s also kept my acne away as well, definitely apart of my every day routine.

It’s been a journey to find a cleanser that’s good for my combination skin without being overly drying. I’ve used the gleanser for the better part of a year now and really love it, especially in the winter months. It’s got great slip and feels great going on my skin, while leaving my skin hydrated afterwards even before I put my moisturizer on. I’ve tried their vitamin C, serum, and urea moisturizer too, but the only products I’d purchase again are this cleanser and the vitamin C.

Really love how this feels when applying. Very moisturizing and gentle. I also have used the silicone scar stick for wrinkles; need to give it a bit more time to see results, but also like how easily it applies as a stick.

Been trying the Prequel Vitamin C — lightweight, absorbs quickly, and layers really nicely under the rest of my routine. Not a huge fan of the smell (it’s pretty strong), but it fades after application. Too early for results, but so far my skin is tolerating it well and I’m into it.

One of my favorite skin care brands that caters to all skin types, but especially if you have drier skin! I love everything I have tried from them such as their Gleanser, sunscreen, and milky toner! I also love how accessible the brand is.

I’ve only tried one of Prequel’s products, the Glycerin Cleanser. I’ve gone through about half the bottle, and am very pleased with the product thus far. It’s amazing for sensitive skin, very gentle, and you can use it all over your body too.

There are two products that I really like from this brand: the first is the brightening vitamin c serum as it helps to brighten up my skin and not make it look so dull. The second product is the universal skin solution dermal spray which is the first thing I apply during my skin routine, and it helps to keep breakouts from happening. Both of these products are great, while they may be pricy for some, they are definitely worth the price and I highly recommend them!

I recently started trying Prequel and so far I have only used the Universal Skin Solution Dermal Spray. It has hypochlorous acid and I have really liked using it after the gym, especially in that gap between finishing a workout and getting home to shower. It feels refreshing and helps keep my skin clear without any irritation. I have heard a lot of good things about the brand overall and the approach seems thoughtful and science driven. Based on how much I have liked the spray, I am definitely planning to pick out another product soon to see how it compares.

Prequel is a brand that does not miss. At this point I think I have tried all of their products and not one is bad! Their ingredients are good and a very affordable price point, my favorite product is the oil cleanser, i’ve gone through so many

Prequel is one of those rare brands that really delivers on both quality and value. The product sizes are huge — my body lotion has lasted me years, even with regular use. The formulas are straightforward but effective, and I appreciate that they’re made with skin health in mind rather than unnecessary frills. The body lotion keeps my skin soft and hydrated without feeling heavy or greasy, and I never have to worry about running out after just a few weeks. It’s such a relief to find a brand that offers this kind of longevity and performance at a fair price.

The Gleanser is a must-have for me; being a chronic sufferer of dry-skin year-round. The texture does take some getting used to— being slightly on the slimier side (even though, the product CLEARLY discloses the high glycerin content)— but I can't fault it for its efficacy. I plan to gift some to family as well— given its continued efficacy! :D Only wish this brand would offer super-sized versions AND also consider travel size versions (I love this so much, I tend to buy two at a go!)

I found the scar solution stick to be a great product in the weeks immediately following the removal of a lipoma from my forehead. It almost seemed to even out the skin. The efficacy seemed to wear off after a month though.

I am using the scar stick on both my eyebrow and my wrist for small spots the dermatologist removed. My eyebrow had stitches so it was a bit more invasive. After looking for a scar minimizer I landed on Prequel and also picked up the Milky Toner to replace Paula's Choice BHA/AHA. The scar stick needs to be used constantly, multiple times a day, and over a period of time. I have only been using it for about a month, but both scars are looking better and I have gotten compliments that they look good. I carry the stick with me and us it multiple times a day. I don't think the size is too small, I found it to be what I expected, and there is no scent which is a plus for me. It also goes on as a solid which I like more than rubbing oil in. The Milky Toner has only been worked into my routine once so far, but there was no irritation or stinging and I look forward to using it more once my current toner is gone. I would purchase the Scar Stick again.

I’m still within 30 days of trying the Gleanser (Cleanser) & the Universal Skin Solution (Hypochlorous acid spray) but I’m already loving both. The Gleanser is definitely a different texture than I’m used to BUT I got past that because of how hydrating it leaves my skin even after drying it. The skin solution is great post workout, to sanitize skincare tools, and I even use it in place of a toner. Would highly suggest these products and the price point is great for the big sizes you get.

Not only do I love that the bottles are so big and are formulated for the body and face, but they really work! Thee Gleanser is the most hydrating thing i've ever used, on my face and body, and the moisturizer is silky smooth. Big fan!
The ads, branding, claims, and background for this brand appear premium and elevated, however the performance of one of its core products—a silicon scar stick is definitely not an elite item. I purchased directly from the brand enjoyed the shopping experience and receiving the product, albeit it was smaller than I initially thought. While no product is a miracle, I have to say I've noticed no benefits or changes using the silicon stick. And after having had the stick for a month I can also vouch that the size and shape is not really conducive to application and adequate coverage. It's too big for small areas (face, cervices) and too small for big areas (legs, backside). I was also shocked when I was at my local Target and saw a display for Prequel products—love that they are accessible, but I don't love that they are kind of marketed as almost medical grade from derms, but they really perform like drugstore items.
My mom got me hooked. On a recent trip home I tried the face wash, moisturizer and serum. I am now a big believer in the latter two. The only reason I am giving four out of five stars is because I don't love the face wash. The moisturizer and serum on the other hand 10 out of 10.
After being targeted for ads on IG, etc., I got curious and bought a product. I've only tried the Lucent-C (their Vitamin C product), so can only speak to this singular product. Firstly, the smell is awful - but if you can get over it, it's a product that really works. Instantly smoother and brighter upon application - and over time, I've seen that my skin tone is more even.
