I tried this to add more color to my natural red hair. I liked that it didn’t come out a lot when washing and that the color was subtle. I remember liking the smell too, it was like an herbal smell

The Overtone Hair Mask is a total game-changer for maintaining bold, vibrant hair color. It’s so easy to use—just apply, let it sit, and rinse—and the results are stunning. The color payoff is rich and long-lasting, keeping my hair looking fresh between dye jobs. What’s even better is how hydrating it is! My hair feels soft, shiny, and healthy after every use. It’s gentle and doesn’t damage my hair, which is a huge plus. The variety of shades is amazing, so there’s something for everyone. If you want a simple, effective way to boost your hair color while treating your strands, the Overtone Hair Mask is a must-have. Highly recommend!
I discovered Overtone because I was looking for a healthy way of tinting my bleached hair and a method that wasn't permanent. Overtone has great colors (my fave is rose gold) and the product leaves your hair feeling soft and fresh. I also like that the color fades nicely (I've also used their clarifying shampoo to speed up the process, successfully)
I used this "Purple for Brown Hair Coloring Conditioner" when I had purple hair to maintain the color. The product is quite messy, as expected. I saw no difference In how fast my hair color faded away: i would not use this for any other color.
I got the Vibrant Magenta Coloring Conditioner and the Vibrant Magenta Daily Conditioner. I loved ite! For reference, I have light brown hair. It should up dark pink at first but after the first wash was a nice patel-midvibrant pink. Exactly what I wanted. It fully washed out after about a month and a half, getting slightly less vibrant with each wash. The image I uploaded was after the first week.

I am a natural red head who is now 61 years old. The hair that frames my face had gone to white, while the rest was still red but fading to a sort of dirty strawberry blond as it mixed with the white. Having never colored my hair, and didn't want to appear like a pink headed old lady, I bought the Ginger Overtone and very carefully gave it a try. The photos of the results online by folks who followed the directions had a very solid and bright color. So, I decided to use Overtone very sparingly and have found the results to allow natural lights and darks to look so natural! I love it, especially seeing strawberry blond around my face, instead of the white. Feeling so much more myself. My process has been to apply it (with gloves) sparingly and unevenly all around my head, keeping in on for about 5 minutes (NOT THE 15 MINUTES SUGGESTED) and shampooing right after. The course texture of the "white" hairs have been softened by the conditioner. I reapply about once a week. In other reviews I read users apply almost the entire container. I have used about 1/8th of the container after 3 or 4 times using the product. It has been fantastic for my purpose. Hope this helps other aging natural red heads.

Seems mild and color works very well but I had a reaction to the product. Patches of scaling and itching on scalp. I am normally not allergic to anything.

I really love Overtone. Their deep conditioners deposit color that is vibrant and can last weeks. It also smells nice and leaves my hair silky and bouncy! I'm especially a fan of the rose gold and ginger for a pinkish strawberry blonde.

I started to get more gray and I wanted something to deepen the color without damaging my hair. I had high hopes but unfortunately the product did not work for me and I ended up using it as a conditional only. Maybe it will work for someone not trying to tackle aging hair but for me its a skip.
I use overtone's orange conditioner and idk how much it works but it definitely dyes my shower orange so I hope it's also dyeing my hair!!

I really like Overtone! I use their ginger color to help refresh my color in between appointments. As someone who colors their hair often, I use their colorless mask about once a week and it has completely transformed my hair.

Would love to see a size between their small size and their big tub of conditioner.

I love Overtone for quick, easy, temporary hair color. I find it often washes out within a week, but I've had even the pastel colors show up on dark blonde hair. It is a little pricey for the amount / how quickly it washes out, but I love the conditioning aspect and how easy it is to use.
I've used the pink for brown hair AWHILE back. Loved it & it worked well in my hair.

Okay experience with the purple, but I've had better results with other brands. Just okay. The bad: my second try, when I was aiming for ginger, and I got... neon yellow. And it never left. I've been using semi-permanent dyes for over a decade, and I've never been had a worse result.
I used the blue color conditioner on my friend's dark brown hair. The color turned out great but there wasn't enough product in the tub to coat her entire head. I suggest getting two if you have long & thick hair.

Sizing options for different hair lengths.
I purchased Overtone to tone my hair in between my color appointments. I have darker hair so can't speak for the lighter colors. Overtone helped tone down the brassiness in my hair which was why I purchased it. I was able to extend my appointments 2-3 weeks.
I have brown hair, so have a limited number of colors to choose from, which is typical. I don't like this has to go on dry hair instead of wet, so you cant do it in the shower. Colors are decent, works well. Hair felt dry.
I bought the Purple for Brown Hair set (hair mask, daily conditioner, travel conditioner) and had an underwhelming experience. It didn't show up at all on my (admittedly very dark) brown hair but was a very beautiful red-based purple color after I bleached my hair to platinum (of course at that point my hair wasn't brown). The hair mask was hydrating and deposited color nicely but the conditioner was underwhelming, almost drying, and I'm not sure how well it kept my color.

I liked the purple on my bleached hair but found the hair mask and conditioner very difficult to use - they stained EVERYTHING (my tub, my hands, my clothing) and can only be washed out with very hot water, so I was always scared of staining items that couldn't be thrown in the wash. It bled lightly onto fabric whenever my hair was wet (think after a shower, after the rain, etc...) so overall a lot of maintenance compared to a normal non-conditioner dye process. I wouldn't purchase again.
I liked the packaging it’s very cute! The products are good but you have to use quite a bit for longer hair. Also if you plan to bleach or lighten your hair down the road, be careful of using these because they deposit dye and it can be hard to fully remove, which makes professional hair dying more expensive and a longer process.
