ŌURA earns praise in reviews for accurate, habit-shaping sleep and recovery insights, discreet design, and useful features like cycle tracking, body temperature trends, and new stress metrics—so yes, it works for sleep-focused wellness. However, reviewers report weaknesses including subscription paywalls, inconsistent fitness tracking and HR accuracy, scratching and bulk for grip sports, and battery degradation with mixed customer support.

Arrived with a bad charger. 4-hours on chat. Told them when I initiated chat the charger needed to be replaced. I had to sornf 4-hours take videos for them to conclude it was broken and then they sent me to make a claim, it’s a brand new items that arrived today. I have to spend 6-hours to get a charger that works when it should have been included .. can’t get a person on the phone. The chat agent was horrible .., I can’t stand this place

used our for last 3-4 yours, bought several ring do to batteries issue, last one purchased for over $500 and now they want my to pay $6 a month so I can continue to have app access ? this is ridicules.. The ring isn't accurate as they say, I've compared it with other sensors, scratches if you working out with weights so you'll need to buy new one more often, not to mention after a year ring battery don't last long.. so Yah, I don't recommend it..

The price of this ring is too expensive compared to what it has to offer. Its original value is already marked up. The thing I really don't agree with is the membership. It's like I'm adding money to its original price every month and, again, its original price is not worth what this ring has to offer.

One of the main criticisms of the Oura Ring is its high cost. Compared to other health tracking devices, the Oura Ring is significantly more expensive, with a price tag of OVER $400. Another drawback of the Oura Ring NOW requires a MONTHLY membership to access ALL of its features and data. While a score is provided for daily READINESS, SLEEP, and ACTIVITY with the purchase of the device, ALL advanced metrics and insights are only available to users who pay for a MONTHLY membership. This can be frustrating for users who feel they are being baited into purchasing the device only to find out they need to pay more for the features. Overall, the Oura Ring is a useless tool for most individuals, its high cost and membership model are unappealing. Wearing this product for workouts w/ barbells, pullups, rowing, golf, hockey, and baseball are very uncomfortable. It is important for users to carefully consider their needs and budget before investing in this device.

When I purchased the Oura for my wife, the insights into data were included. When I purchased the Gen 3 ring it came with a 6-month trial membership. This was a nice feature but nothing more than what I would expect for a product with this price tag. The data was relatively stagnant after the 6 months, I have a good baseline of my data and the things that positively and negatively impact my scores. But I was in for a surprise when the membership trial ended. You get nothing. Not 1 single piece of individual data. No HR, No workouts, No HRV, No sleep tracking, NOTHING, You get a Readiness number, Sleep Number, and Activity Number... WOW! This is super pointless and useless data. The ring is off and in the drawer. I felt the marketing was misleading, and since the data was provided, it should be. The membership is not worth it. The data should come with the purchase of the product. They saw that WHOOP straps charged a monthly fee, and "GREED" kicked in. Thanks, WHOOP! Thanks, Greed!

I owned my ring for 9 months until it wouldn't charge. The AI customer service did work out at all, and just gave up on getting it fixed all the together. Don't waste your time, purchase a Garmin or something more reliable for the time being. Look at the Google reviews, they look horrible as well.

Real customer service vs AI customer service.

It can be great for certain things but the accuracy isn’t great. I’ll be reading and it says I’m in deep sleep and customer service never responds w much. Also, my husband’s ring broke barely out of year of buying and company wouldn’t let us send it back to be repaired and said they could do nothing !! What a waste of $$

My ring needs to be charged every 36 hours now after just 15 months of using it (charing properly, as instructed). Messaged customer service and am being told that my ring was only covered for one year and have to buy a new one (gave me $75 discount but that is still $225). So upset that this device really only works for a little over a year and customer service wont do anything to help you aside from a discount to throw another few hundred bucks at a shoddily-made product. I liked the product but am now profoundly disappointed.

Better customer service to support their product!

Have used oura 2 and 3 for 4 years. With the new versions, the battery life is much to be desired.

I usually don't leave reviews, but I had to for this product. I am compelled to do so for this product. I purchased the product as a Christmas gift for a family member. Before buying an Oura ring, I spoke with a few people who have an Oura ring, and all had mixed reviews but liked the product. Because this product was not for me, I moved forward with the purchase. The ordering process was cumbersome, and the company appears to rely on a return policy to solve all issues. The issue is that they need a user-friendly website. The Oura site is one of the worst I have used to purchase a gift. The focus is all on the company and does not streamline the buying process. During this process, I broke one of my rules of not buying a product with a phone number to speak with someone if I have an issue. The main problem was I attempted to change the ring's color and could not reach a live person to do this elementary function. I understand a company trying to save money but not even having a live chat function as a substitute. The product will arrive and then be returned for no other reason than poor management. Note I spoke with the person who had an issue with their ring, and they said Oura just shipped them another rather than solving the issue I recommend that Apple or Google create a similar product because Oura is not prepared to scale at this point. They could also sell to Apple or Google because this product fits into their portfolio.

I bought this ring because my daughter recommended it . Paid 300.00 for the ring to do basically nothing now . It doesn’t do anything without a membership subscription. My daughter who has an older ring gets all her data without a subscription and had an opportunity to get a lifetime membership subscription. I bought a newer ring and I am not offered a lifetime subscription and because I didn’t get one my ring doesn’t really do anything . I can see 3 scores but no data. I had many friends and family asking about it and will now tell them not to get it . So disappointing, seems deceptive . I really liked it until I couldn’t see my data . They give you a few months free (subscription) when you buy it , then it expires unless you pay a monthly fee. Such a waste of money , buyer beware!!!

Don’t buy it unless you want to pay a monthly fee on top of the costly ring!

hey falsely advertised that the ring read oxygen levels. When I first got the ring, I believe in 2021 it did not have that feature. Kept asking when it was going to come out. Only got in 2022. When it finally came out I had quit using the ring. Lots of sleep data if that is what you are looking for. So, the O2 feature finally came out had not used their app for months and only a month after that feature was available the only reason, I purchased the ring they started their monthly charge. Anyone want to but a sued ring. Would happily sell it for half off.
Feedback
All they had to do was extend and give me free time to use the app and I would have been satisfied, but no they were unwilling to work with me to provide services for the only reason I purchased the ring was to monitor my O2 stats. Poor cutormer service

After almost a year of use and also reviewing my data with my doctor the conclusion is that Oura rings are an expensive toy for folks who want to believe in technology 💩

Great for tracking sleep and activity. It's sleep tracking is more accurate than any of the other sleep trackers I've tried, reliably detecting when I've woken up in the middle of the night even if I don't move around. It can automatically detect and add different kinds of workouts. It occasionally gets it wrong, but I'm impressed with how well it detects different kinds of exercise. They are always adding new features, too, like blood oxygen level tracking which could be good for COVID detection

Very innovative and overall good product in an industry dominated by wrist wearables. Sleek and nice appearance, easy to setup and use. Best Features Charging - only had to charge once or twice a week for less than 30 mins. Usage - Very easy to use and obtain bio metric data. Subscription - subscription required. Worst Features: Workout Limitations - Oura does not recommend to use while lifting weights; heavy weightlifters or crossfit athletes have little use of the ring during their workouts per company recommendations. User Feedback Required - you have to specify the type and duration of your workout which draws in to questions accuracy.

Weight lifting can cause the ring to scratch fairly easily. Recommend a coating or perhaps protective band offered. Improve AI for workout awareness; inputting that I went for a "run" at a "moderate" pace for "24 minutes" is annoying. Would be helpful if it had gps so you could track distance during walking, running, hiking.
