    ŌURA

This ring sounds like a great idea but in fact is not worth the money for how little it does and for the following reasons: 1) Oura is wildly inaccurate, took ring off for weight training bc didn’t want to scratch it, but had my chest HR monitor on. Put Oura back on during CD & stretching, my chest monitor HR was 95bpm & Oura had me at 48bpm??!! I literally started laughing. After several times making it read my HR it got closer but was always reading 10-15bmp lower than chest HR monitor. 2) when starting a HR activity Oura only gives you 5 choices to chose from in/out run, in/out bike or walk. No other choices of activities as if these are the only things people do. 3) when comparing Oura data to that of my garmin when riding bike again I was consistently 15-20bpm lower on Oura, hence my comment wildly inaccurate. 4) it appears oura only takes HR data every 5-10 min as when you review your data oura only gives you a time and a range (ie 0800-0830 HR 95-130) not an exact HR for a give effort. 5) i mapped Strava to oura to capture my activities as oura was extremely limited in what it offers. The Strava data would over ride what oura had recorded which made me realize, why not just keep using strava, more options and more accurate and way less expensive. 6) oura comes with a free one month membership but I wanted to see what I would get after the membership expired so I did not pay for monthly service. If I thought oura had poor performance when membership was activate it was unbelievable horrible if you don’t pay the 7/month membership fee. It literally only gives you 3 numbers for sleep, readiness & activity after paying $600 for ring. You can not look at any efforts, how long you slept or any of the free features that Fitbit offers. After spending $600 (w/ extended warranty as I tend to break things by using them) I am completely unsatisfied and disappointed, purchase was a complete waste of money. Buy a $100 Fitbit, works way better & you get more bang for the buck.
