On Running earns polarized reviews: many say the shoes are comfortable, lightweight, and cushioned enough for walking, everyday wear, and even long races, while others report inconsistent support for running, half‑size‑small fits, and durability issues like heel and mesh tearing. Reviews praise styles like Cloud 5, Cloudmonster, Cloudrunner, and The Roger for sleek looks and versatile comfort, but flag pebble‑catching soles, flimsy or fussy laces, traction concerns on wet metal, and widely criticized customer service.

I LOVE these shoes. I now have 4 different pairs. My favorite are the cloudnovas. So comfortable and stylish. My least favorite of the ones I have would be the cloud x shift, but that's only because it is tight over the top of my foot & I think that's due to my foot being boney. But working as a nurse I'm on my feet a lot & used to have to much foot and back pain after long shifts. These shoes have completely eliminated that. They are quite pricey depending on the style, but you can also buy last year's styles at a cheaper price if you can find your size. They are now carried in many stores too which is great. I personally think they are worth the cost, and after buying my bf a pair he agrees!
Their running shoes feel incredible - I've never felt so much support on my high arcs. Highly recommend!

I've been watching this brand for while and was holding off on purchasing bc of the price. I finally invested in a pair of OnRunners....ZERO REGRETS. Worth the price, great looking, extremely comfortable yet supportive. Best pair of running shoes I've ever purchased, I will be returning to On Running when this pair wears out.
Recently bought a pair of On Running for the gym. Was a little nervous because they are pricey, however they are totally worth it! Amazing support, comfort and they feel stylish outside of the gym! They are also very lightweight and easy for travel.
Great athletic shoes that I use for long walks with my dog/son. I heard that the guy who invented them was inspired by stepping on a water hose - I can definitely get that. Super comfy!
Tried this brand after a bout of plantar fasciitis, where a shoe store recommend On for its support. Have not looked back since! LOVE my shoes and my feet are always comfortable in them. The design and color options are by far my favorite part of On. They don't look like sporty, traditional running shoes. But they still feel great on a run.

They do wear down with regular use and are pricier.

I am on my second pair of On's and the weight of the shoes are amazing since they are very light but I find the design gets a ton of rocks stuck in the shoes. My first pair ended up with destroyed heels and rips throughout quicker than ive experienced with other shoes, but my second pair seems to be holding up better. I think they have come out with trendy casual options which I love and the clouds may just be better for treadmill runs

Durability
Bought a pair of On's Cloudswift shoes for running in London, and they did not disappoint. They're super light and comfortable, and as someone with foot problems, I can wear them for quite long runs on roads and pavements without any pain.

Sometimes small pebbles can get stuck in the sole of the shoe.
I first got into On shoes because I do a lot of walking/hiking in all conditions. I needed waterproof shoes. I ordered my first pair and they were too small (in my normal size.) After a few wearings I concluded I'd made a mistake and I contacted the company for an exchange. They did it--no quibbles! I was really impressed. I am onto my second pair and equally happy--now that I know what size to order.

I had called the company ahead of time for guidance on sizing...they should update the training of the support staff so they can help customers with more accurate information. I have never bought the larger size in any prior shoe, so On is not standard for an American size/shoe last. (I used to work in the shoe industry so I have cred in this statement.)
process of buying - the quiz on the website - was great and super user-friendly.

I'd heard amazing things about these running shoes, and a lot of my friends swear by them, but I found them heavy/clunky unfortunately, so had to return.
I've tried multiple On Running shoe styles - ordering directly from their site and trying on in person - and I think they are highly overrated. I have relatively narrow feet and high arches and I haven't tried any that I have found to be comfortable. I ran in a pair for a few months hoping to start to like them but I never did.
I don't even know how many pairs of Clouds I've owned at this point... they're so light and comfortable, and I love the elastic laces so you can just slip them on. I love that they're being made with recycled materials now too.
Bought it for my bf, and he didn’t like running in them outside said they are not waterproof
I started wearing these shoes two years ago when I started working out and they are a game changer! my knees used to hurt so bad on the treadmill but as soon as i started wearing the correct shoes, it stopped almost immediately. I own 4 pair and my husband does too. they're the only sneakers we wear!
A few years ago, these were the only shoes we would buy, but something has changed this year where the quality has gone downhill. Both my husband and I have had the shoes fall apart and feel cheaply made.
I have the on cloud 5s. They’re great shoes and really have withstood hundreds of miles of running
I have two pairs of on running shoes, one slip on and one with laces you tie. The slip ons have definitely been worn more and they are perfect for a quick on the go shoe. Unfortunately, after about a year, each shoe has two holes in the same places and there is tearing around the ankle which is pretty disappointing.
Love how they look, just wish they had more support for high arches. Hokas > on comfort wise for work shoes.
Expensive tennis shoe with cool design but faulty heel after 2 months of running 10K 3-4 days a week. Just can’t afford an expensive running shoe without recourse.
Great quality running shoes, comfortable and durable. I have owned a few pairs in different styles of these and my best experience was when I purchased them the day before a 5k and put wore them race day without having to break them in . They were lightweight and comfortable!

I have owned a few different styles of ON sneakers and have found them to be my go-to sneakers from running, walking, and even beach bootcamps.
