Reviews mention

  • Nostalgic, flavorful profiles
  • Refreshing, lighter mouthfeel
  • Prebiotic, fiber-forward formula
  • Broad, adventurous assortment
  • Occasional stevia aftertaste
  • Inconsistent carbonation fizz
  • Some flavors taste medicinal
  • Sweetness can be cloying

OLIPOP wins over many soda drinkers in reviews with nostalgic flavors like Vintage Cola, Classic Root Beer, Classic Grape, Strawberry Vanilla, Ginger Lemon, and Orange Squeeze that curb cravings while feeling lighter and “gut-friendly.” Reviews also flag weaknesses: several flavors read overly sweet with a noticeable stevia/artificial aftertaste, occasional low carbonation/flat cans, and hit‑or‑miss accuracy compared to legacy sodas—some love them, others find them medicinal or dull.

  • I love OLIPOP! Seriously changed the game for me. I love sparkling drinks and was getting sick of seltzer waters. I try to never drink soda, but occasionally get a craving. OLIPOP kills two birds with one stone. All of the flavors are excellent so I never get bored and they don't have that after taste that most seltzers have and they are way healthier than soda, so I don't feel bad satisfying the craving whenever it pops up.

Wish I could find more flavors in more places, but have seen them spread like wildfire recently.

  • I find it was similar to any boogie seltzer water that’s out right now. Cost is about the same. Taste similar to the other brands

  • Such great flavors and I love that they're expanding the line. The root beer is the best I've found on the market for these healthy type of sodas.

  • I was skeptical but it's actually really good, especially when you want something sweet after a meal but not the sugar/calories.

Cheaper at my Whole Foods than their website

  • It tastes just like classic cream soda (maybe even better)! An absolute must-try for soda lovers looking for a healthier option!

  • I’m biased because I just LOVE this product. They make so many renditions of classics like root beer, orange cremesicle or grape soda (my favorite one!) It’s a healthier alternative to a regular soda with prebiotic benefits you can really notice.

The drink can be a bit on the pricey side depending on where you get it - and I personally don’t like to spend over $3.50 on a soda - there are also random flavors that don’t really do it for me, like the banana one.

  • 4/5 because of the price, I feel it has a high price point. I had Strawberry Vanilla, it was sweet and refreshing, although it did not have a distinct strawberry flavor.

Lower price and have strawberry reflect the true flavor of strawberry.

  • I love olipop! It’s so tasty and always a great choice when I’m craving soda. As a dietitian, I’m always happy to recommend olipop.

  • I bought a can of Olipop at a health foods store near me. At $3 a can it’s a bit pricey but I do really like how much protein is in each one. I’ve tried the coke flavor which I couldn’t finish and the root beer which I liked a lot more and would consider buying again.

  • I’ve tried the cherry cola and strawberry vanilla flavors. I love the packaging and enjoy the guy-health aspect of the brand, but they both just kind of tasted like stevia to me.

  • Some of the flavors are hits, but other have bad aftertastes or are overall just gross. The best flavors in my opinion are strawberry vanilla and cream soda. The worst one is orange. It has a horrible aftertaste that left me gagging. Overall the drinks are good, but some flavors leave something to be desired.

  • A surprisingly good drink! With less sugar I assumed it would lack the flavor but it did not. the range of flavors helps in selection and pairs with any of the classics like pizza and a cola.

The grape needs a little work to compete with an original grape soda.

  • The flavors aren't EXACTLY like the sodas they're trying to emulate but they get close enough for a healthier fizzy drink. Love sipping on these at parties as a part of my small movement to drink less alcohol. Orange is the best flavor.

  • So yummy! I buy these for my mom since she has diabetes lol and she loves them.

  • As someone who is iffy about your regular soda, I LOVE OLIPOP! All of the flavors I've tried are so fantastic, but my favorite is the Root Beer. It the perfect twist of a soda taste, but still with a natural flavor.

  • One of the better healthier options! I like this a lot, want to try more flavors

  • This was not what I expected. Did not care for the taste. The can makes it look better than it tastes.

Make it taste a bit better than it is.

  • Finally had the opportunity to try an Olipop after seeing their ads everywhere for so long. I had high hopes. I wouldn’t say I was disappointed by the taste, just kind of indifferent I suppose. I tried the root beer and the initial sip was good but the after taste was kind of odd and slightly off putting. My husband tried it too and wasn’t a fan. Maybe I’ll try a different flavor next time. Not writing it off just yet.

  • Love love love these drinks! So fun to have a beverage that is alcohol-free and actually does something good for you. I recently discovered them at Costco (yay, we love a fun brand going mainstream) and was super psyched to get a huge pack to have at home with me. They're my mid-afternoon treat, instead of unhealthy food or candies. I bought them as a fun alcohol-free treat for myself during the holidays and now they're a staple in my daily life, which I love!

  • I have mixed feelings about OLIPOP. I love the idea of a sparkling tonic that's exciting to drink and good for your gut. I haven't been able to try all of the flavors, but I would say it's a bit of a mixed bag. I enjoyed the Cherry Vanilla the best. For anyone who loves a sweet treat without the stomach trouble, definitely give this a try.

The reason I only rated this brand 3/5 is because some of the flavors are a total miss in my opinion. The Doctor Goodwin flavor tasted like cough syrup to me and I didn't end up finishing the can. While healthier options to unhealthy indulgences, like soda, can be a great idea, sometimes I find myself stuck comparing the taste to the original and being disappointed. While I think this product is a strong idea, I would urge you not to approach OLIPOP as a soda "dupe". If you want a Diet Coke, go for the Diet Coke, but if you're looking to try something totally new, then give OLIPOP a try.
