Reviews mention

  • Nostalgic, flavorful profiles
  • Refreshing, lighter mouthfeel
  • Prebiotic, fiber-forward formula
  • Broad, adventurous assortment
  • Occasional stevia aftertaste
  • Inconsistent carbonation fizz
  • Some flavors taste medicinal
  • Sweetness can be cloying

OLIPOP wins over many soda drinkers in reviews with nostalgic flavors like Vintage Cola, Classic Root Beer, Classic Grape, Strawberry Vanilla, Ginger Lemon, and Orange Squeeze that curb cravings while feeling lighter and “gut-friendly.” Reviews also flag weaknesses: several flavors read overly sweet with a noticeable stevia/artificial aftertaste, occasional low carbonation/flat cans, and hit‑or‑miss accuracy compared to legacy sodas—some love them, others find them medicinal or dull.

  • I have tried a few flavors of these and they always make me bloat. The flavors are innovative but too sweet for me. I would work on whatever makes these bloatey (inulin?), and have one that is less sweet and more tangy. They are also not really fizzy compare to other sodas

  • Love it! I've tried a few of their flavors and really like them :) Sweet but not to sweet like some of their competitors. I like the ingredients as well!

  • Really no complaints - flavors are super tasty, without the cloying sweetness of a traditional sugar-free soda. I mostly use these in mixed mocktails/cocktails, but the flavors definitely stand on their own. I've tried several different flavors and haven't been disappointed by any of them. I can't say I've noticed a difference in gut health, but as a healthier/lower sugar soda substitute I think they definitely hit the mark.

  • My dad is pretty addicted to sugar and as a diabetic he needs to keep his blood sugar even, so that has meant his soda habit is ended. I feel good giving him the occasional olipop though. I’m not happy with some of the beverages out there when they decide to use “alternative” sugars like ERYTHRITOL. There is stevia in olipop, but I have not seen any studies to suggest stevia in the form they are using is dangerous. Especially when consumed occasionally. And my dad loves it. He can have root beer again.

  • LOVE OLIPOP! I buy probably 20-30 a week and we go through it like water. The taste is excellent and not overly sweet. I haven't had regular soda in years and so this is perfect to make dinner a bit more fun without the guilt. Hard to say if it's improved by "gut health" but anecdotally I think digestion has improved although who knows maybe it's a placebo effect. One of my favorite brands for sure

  • not every flavor is for me, and some I feel like some people are lying that they like the taste (lol) but it is worth your curiosity. it serves same purpose as the other popular brand poppi, but a twist on different flavors.

  • Soda is on the shortlist of dental nightmares, but that doesn’t really dissuade anyone from popping tabs. I swore off the fizz when my dentist told me that my teeth are more cavity prone than your average bear, but I still loved things like kombucha and Dr. Pepper. I saw OLIPOP in stores, and as someone with chronic tummy troubles, was intrigued by the prebiotic claim. Although skeptical, I picked up the Orange Squeeze flavor and oh my stars. It’s definitely not a Fanta dupe, but the flavor is solid, with none of the tooth-rotting sugary sweetness or artificial aftertaste. I was even more surprised to find that my stomach wouldn’t churn acid after drinking one! I can happily indulge in an OLIPOP every now and then, knowing it’s acid reflux/IBS/tooth friendly (at least, friendlier). The plant fiber is also a huge plus, but doesn’t send you sprinting for the bathroom. The Strawberry Vanilla flavor is also a banger, and definitely something I’ll bring poolside on hot summer days or spring picnics.

  • The flavors I tried (root beer) hit the sweet-soda nostalgia, but with a noticeable “lighter” feeling on the palate — less syrupy heaviness, more crisp finish. The promise of prebiotics and low sugar is real — as someone avoiding high-sugar sodas I appreciated the moderate sweetness and fiber benefit. That said, it still has calories and sweetener, so it’s not a free pass. Clean design, fun colour palette, “better-for-you” positioning without being preachy. Caveats: Because it leans healthier, the carbonation and flavour intensity aren’t quite the punch of a full-sugar soda — if you’re used to full-blast cola, you’ll notice. Verdict: If you’re craving soda but want a smarter choice, OLIPOP delivers a strong alternative. Great for wellness-minded but fun-loving drinkers.

  • Had these at a party one time and could say it was pretty smooth going down! Would recommend some more cool flavors !

Refreshing and tasty, just want more variety.

  • Cute brand, and I can see why a lot of people like it, but their flavors are a bit too sweet for me personally. Some flavors make me feel like I'm drinking an actual lollipop candy, and I get a sugar headache.

Some of the flavors are too sweet. Love the branding. Would like to see lower sugar options.

  • IRL I swear I am one of Olipop’s biggest hype girls 🤣 I have gotten so many people to try them. The flavors are INCREDIBLE, I don’t normally drink sodas and I love these. Sweet but not too sweet, fizzy, and tons of flavor options. My favorite is cherry vanilla and tropical punch.

Create an Olipop float with vanilla ice cream and the soda of your choice— SO GOOD

  • Tried the vintage cola, but didn't enjoy it at all and poured out the rest. Love the branding though!

  • I really like Olipop overall! Some flavors are too fake sweet for me but I really LOOOOOOVE the Root Beer and the Ginger Lemon.

  • This is solely for the Minion Banana flavor... The can was super cute and the drink itself is pretty tasty! However, the flavor was a bit artificial and I just can't get through an entire can of this stuff. Great idea, though, and would be fun for a minion fan!

  • I loved Olipop. It's the best thing that I have tried in so long!! All of my friends are sick of me talking about it being better than pop. It's refreshing and has a great flavor, and also is not too fizzy.

  • Olipop is pretty good! I tried the Root Beer flavor and it definitely satisfied the craving for a sweet soda.

I prefer a little more carbonation and think that would definitely make a difference!

  • Although the branding is exceptional, the product missed the mark for me. I was expecting a very fizzy drink (think sparkling water) but in reality, IMO, it gives the same type of experience as drinking a flat soda. I can definitely see how if you love soda and you are trying to make the switch to a healthier alternative why this product would appeal/ work for you. However, as someone without a soda problem I’m probably not the target consumer for this product. I will say the lemon ginger was my favorite flavor and if you added some vodka it became a very lovely mixed drink 😀.

    More bubbles!

  • I have bought Olipop from Whole Foods and a local bodega in NYC about 10 times and have really loved every time (Tried both the Strawberry and Orange flavors). I am not a soda drinker at all- not even for mixed drinks. But I do love Kombucha and really try to get probiotics/prebiotics in my diet everyday- love that these have unique tastes that are authentic and true to the descriptions and super low sugar. Feels like a special treat- but it ACTUALLY good for you. I recommend to all my friends!

The locations I have purchased these from have never had all the flavors and I have not come across a large case of them in NYC- however I have loved them so much I am definitely going to buy in bulk moving forward!

  • Our household really enjoys olipop. Some flavors are better than others but it’s a great alternative to regular soda. I do wish there was an energy/caffeine component to them because that’s the primary reason I drink soda. You can also find deals on the price of them now which is great.
