Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

Oatly has exploded in the last few years, but originally launched in the 1990s. It's great for lattes and cappuccinos. It froths better and tastes better on its own than other milk alternatives like almond milk. I prefer the full-fat version.

There have been some supply chain issues as Oatly quickly grew in popularity, but it seems like those issues have been resolved. It can typically be found at grocery stores here in the US.

When I first heard about oat milk I was skeptical. But it turns out oat milk is a really good cow milk substitute.
Solid overall product- delicious and creamy
It tastes OK. However, I'm VERY disappointed that it contains canola oil—and as the 2nd ingredient. Except for the organic line, the oats are not organic, and it's known that conventionally grown oats contain a lot of pesticide residue. I also find it too sweet; I'm not sure how that can be changed, given the way oatmilk is produced, though.

The branding is a bit drab and the text is really hard to read. Can you not use such jagged lines and all-capital letters? Please replace canola oil. Except for the organic line, the oats are not organic, and it's known that conventionally grown oats contain a lot of pesticide residue. So, please start using organic oats. I also find it too sweet; I'm not sure how that can be changed, given the way oatmilk is produced, though.

Hands down my favorite oat milk product!

I just found out how much sugar is in the regular Oatly oat milk 😬. No wonder it’s so good!

one of the better tasting oat milks and froths decently when making proper coffee. generally though, I find their messaging disingenuous and if you're considering drinking it or do already, I'd look into some of the analysis around its nutritional quality, particularly a guy called Jeff Nobbs. I send that to any of my friends who are regularly drinking oat milk.

the seemingly unhealthy product and the messaging that implies otherwise.
We use this in our at-home iced lattes. Great dairy-free substitute without the environmental impact of almond milk.
Solid oat milk and one of the originals in the market. It’s a bit on the pricier side and there’s a lot of additional ingredients so be cautious of that. If you want something healthier and clean, there are better options. This one definitely has a good nutty taste to it though.

Before Oatly I was a big Almond Milk fan but Oatly changed that and it's now part of my weekly food shop! The reason I preferred Oatly to other almond milk is that it's a lot creamier and particularly nice paired with coffee. I think this is great for anyone who usually drinks full-fat milk. As a designer, I can also appreciate the visual impact and copy chosen to represent a brand.

Oatly is widely available in most supermarkets in the UK so it's quite easy to make the move over to nut milk and seamlessly input it into your routine. However, Oatly (Barista) is a really rich milk alternative I would go for the Semi-Skimmed Oatly if you want something to use in a smoothie for example.
This is my go to brand for oat-milk in my coffee! It is actually thick and adds consistency AND flavor to my latte.

The price can be a deterrent sometimes, but the quality is worth it!

The best oat milk I’ve tried. Creamy and flavour is exceptional.
One of my favorite oat mills on the market! Delicious!
Oatly is an absolute staple in my house. The creamiest non-dariy milk, in fact, it's better than milk! The flavor is cleaner, and more buttery. Delicious. The reason I doc 1 star is for the inclusion of rapeseed oil, which is known by all nutritionists to be bad for our health.

I wish they would develop a formula with an alternative, like coconut oil- would be tastier, too!
Oatly was the first oat milk I tried and still today, after having upwards of 10 brands, it is a solid pick. It’s great for cereal or coffee.
Feedback
I don’t think it tastes quite as good as some of its competitors. Gives a slightly strange taste to coffee.

I LOVE Oatly. Their milk is so amazing, and so is their yogurt!

I've tried a number of different oat milks but none seem to compare to the taste and texture of Oatly. Extra points for them selling the best chocolate oat milk on the market. It's the only way to go.

It can sometimes be hard to find at my local grocery stores. Wish they had better distribution.
This milk is really tasty! The chocolate tastes just like milk post cocoa puffs which is a real treat.. so good in cereal or coffee. The vanilla is good too!

It’s just a bit expensive for what it is, oat milk is so cheap to make that it’s hard to justify buying, I usually save it for when I want something a lil special.
Creamy, delicious, you can tell the difference when you are using Oatly in your beverages.

Wish it had less sugar.
Oatly is good with everything. The barista edition has a creaminess to it that many other oat milk brands don't have. Perfect for your morning coffee drinks. For the regular Oatly milk, it's great with cereals. The only other brand that comes in as a close second is Califia.

If there was a way to provide the same consistency without using oil, it would be great.
