Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

I like the taste but the company has questionable ethics unfortunately
finding an alt milk can be difficult because, while i don’t enjoy cows milk, the creaminess of regular milk is top tier for me. the barista edition is creamy and easily makes my lattes and iced caffeinated drinks more palatable and much easier on my stomach
Oatly tastes great & I love that it is a ubiquitous milk-alternative in the city that I live in. One note of caution to drinkers is that oat milk has a high glucose response, so it's higher in glucose and calories than other alternatives.

Almond milk is usually my go to as someone who is sensitve to dairy products. However, I caved and finally decided to give oat milk a try after the craze surrounding it in the last year. I'm not sure if it is just the oatly brand (admittly it's the only oat milk I have tried) but it left a werid oily film in my coffee and in my mouth. The taste was okay, nothing special, but the filmly coating was an instant turn off and I ended up passing it along to a friend.
Very good product. I tried the OATLY OAT BARISTA DRINK and it was delicious!

It's just a pity that it's a more expensive product than others, and that's why sometimes it becomes less consumed in my family.
I've been drinking Oatly for over 9 years and love it. It's my favorite oat milk to use in coffee and any type of latte. It has the perfect creaminess and slightly sweet taste without being overly sweet. I'm a big fan of their branding too.

I would 100% recommend people give Oatly a try if you're in the market for dairy alternatives. My only critical feedback is it's a little too creamy to use for cereal or to drink straight so would probably use the non-barista version for that.
It’s fine – I prefer Chobani’s oat milk or Tache pistachio milk, but this is readily available so I’ll pick it up every once in a while. The consistency is a lot thinner and less creamy than I like, but that could just be my personal preference. As a tea drinker I like something with a little flavor to supplement, so I’ll usually pick a vanilla milk. Not sure if Oatly offers that, though.

It’s almost watery to me, even after shaking. Prefer something with a thicker consistency.
I testet it at work . In Tchibo we uses this with coffee, to be honest , the consistency was I little bit strong . It gives me a chemical taste
Used to LOVE Oatly until I learned of all the additives! Now I've switched brands. The texture and taste of this product can't be beat but I don't buy it anymore.

Too many additives but great product!
I prefer Chobani but Oatly isn’t bad.
I'm lactose-intolerant and was looking for new alternatives. While I still prefer almond milk, Oatly is super reliable and goes well with coffee. Also, it's well-designed, and having spoken to folks who worked on the branding, I know a ton of intentionality went into creating the packaging of this product that has details about it as well as their mission—which I really love and appreciate.

Great product, mission, and packaging. If you're looking for a milk alternative and almond or soy milk aren't your schtick, then Oatly may be the one for you.
Great for a coffee, even if you don't froth it

Thanks that it's easy to find Oatly in every grocery in the Netherlands
Oatly is my preferred oat milk for at-home and cafe-bought iced coffee. The texture is neither too thick nor thin and the flavor doesn’t feel overwhelming. I also love their new video series focused on swapping oat milk in recipes that normally call for dairy with a diverse group of families!
I love Oatly! I decided to try a milk alternative and went with Oatly and it is so good. Assuming you like oats, the taste is fantastic. It really is like drinking liquid oats. So delicious, I will definitely continue drinking.

If you are looking for a milk alternative give oat milk a chance, specifically Oatly. Quality stuff right there.
I'm not a barista, but I see this at coffee shops everywhere and whenever I get for oat milk instead of almond, my drink tastes great.
Ok so I’m general I really like oat milk so not a shock that I really enjoy oatly but they get bonus points for being in recyclable packaging!!

The only issue is how frequently they sell out!!
Still one of my favorite oat milks by far! This is my go-to when I make lattes because it’s much richer and I enjoy the flavor more than some other oat milks.
My go-to oat milk brand! Makes lattes super rich and creamy.

My preferred brand of oat milk (based on flavor) that's relatively easy to find in stores

The original oat milk brand. Great place to start and is used everywhere. Perfect blend of sweetener and oats.

I do wish there could be an improvement on texture. Sometimes there is a concern with the oat milk being slimy.
