Reviews mention

  • Creamy, dairy-like mouthfeel
  • Exceptional barista-grade frothing
  • Versatile, cooking-friendly consistency
  • Consistently smooth, neutral flavor
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Occasional glucose-spike concerns
  • Possible gut sensitivity reports
  • Inconsistent thickness across versions

Oatly earns strong reviews for creamy, dairy-like texture—especially the Barista Edition, which froths reliably for café-level lattes and blends beautifully in coffee, matcha, and baking—while critiques target ingredient lists with added oils/gums and a sometimes sweet or “oaty” aftertaste. Reviews also note occasional gut sensitivity and glucose spikes, plus variability in thickness across versions, making Oatly a standout for performance in drinks but not ideal for those seeking the cleanest formulas.

  • Love the consistency for my coffee but highly processed and uses canola oil

  • Another oat milk brand with 5+ ingredients. Oat milk should be oats and water, nothing more, given the harmful effects of all the additives.

  • This brand is so good, so worth the price, I first tasted this at my local state fair a few years ago, and once they were available at grocery stores I found myself regularly buying it . I love it in my iced coffee. Very rich and creamy and it makes me not miss revisit milk at all

  • I've really enjoyed Oatly. A lot of people think it has too much of the oat/nutty flavor, but I think it adds richness. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like an oatly flavor, Oatly is a good one.

  • Occasionally I get the pleasure of using Oatly in my coffee at my friends house and everytime I use it, i love it! very creamy!

    no improvement needed

  • I am very picky with the type of oat milk I get. This one has one of my favorites, especially the Barista Edition. Although it's not dairy milk, I get a very creamy quality to it, and when I froth it, it does what it is supposed to do compared to other brands.

    Feedback

I'd love to see a bigger size on the barista edition.

  • I'm a big fan of Oatly, it's one of my favorite plant-based milks and best of all it's soy-free! The chocolate flavor is delicious for mocha coffee or smoothie and I like their cans of matcha too.

    More flavors please!

  • Oatly outperforms any other oat milk product I’ve tried. Most others are watered down. And, I am obsessed with their quirky branding and multiple size options.

    Feedback

I don’t have anything top of mind I would change!

  • I'd give their oat beverages a 3.5, good flavor but too many ingredients. Their ice cream though gets a 5 for flavor! Strawberry knocked my socks off :)

    Feedback

Fewer ingredients, especially ditch the gums.

  • Tastes really smooth and is great for milkshakes or iced drinks. I found it didn't froth very well at all, so I just used it for iced lattes and it was great! Love the sustainable packaging and the words on the side too!

    Feedback

Didn't froth well, I reached out to the brand however they didn't assist me.

  • Oatly definitely has the most creamiest and sweet tastes out of all the oat milk brands I’ve tried! I love using it in coffee.

    Feedback

There are an excessive amount of fillers, and compared to other brands oatly is expensive.

  • Tastes like the milk left in the bowl after you’ve eaten sweet cereal. It’s delish and just a tiny bit sweet.

  • I really like Oatly. As someone who usually sticks with almond but enjoys oat milk on occasion, I find oatly to be easy to find and pretty darn good.

    Feedback

Oatly is not as creamy or rich as some of the other oat milks I’ve tried. I usually opt for of milk as a bit of a treat; it feels more decadent and rich than other plant based milk. I wish oatly was a bit more rich and creamy tasting.

  • Tasty, creamy, flavorful. A great alternative to dairy. You won’t miss creamer with your morning coffee.

    None!

  • This is a perfect whole milk substitute if you want to add more body to your drink. It's smooth with a touch of sweetness that's not overprowering

  • I swear by their oat milk. It’s creamy and just overall really amazing.

  • I have oatly in my cortados almost every morning. It makes for a great latte. Creamy and smooth and subtly sweet, a bit nutty. Super tasty.
