I have used the sea salt spray to get "natural" beach waves and although the spray does work... it leaves your hair a bit crunchy .. kinda like you put too much hair spray in

I’ve tried not your mother’s dry shampoo several times now after hearing some friends say they love it, it’s too thick and leaves my hair feeling gross and hard to brush through. I have pretty fine hair but a lot of it and it didn’t seem to be a good fit for me.

Not my favorite curl product brand as nothing seemed to work just right for me. My hair felt heavy after minimal use and I have moved on to other products.

Not Your Mother's was my go-to dry shampoo years ago, but it's nothing special. I'd much rather invest into a dry shampoo that will keep me matte and voluminous for a few hours at the very least. With Not Your Mother's, I remember doing touch ups every hour.

These products were just alright for my 2C hair. My hair felt dry and these did not do well. I started following the Curly Girl method with tresemme gel + Ouidad products and my hair is looking and feeling a lot better. I do like Not Your Mother's dry shampoo, though!

HATED the dry hair shampoo, but the salt spray is so so so good

I haven't bought this in a while, to be honest I forgot all about it. I really liked the curl talk conditioner and the curl cream, my hair responded very well, so when I find something that works I tend to use it in my regular rotation. I know not all curls are the same so if you have dry, coarse type 3b give this a try! It's very affordable

I loved the smell of the salty, wavy spray, but I did not find that it made a huge difference in my hair (my hair is quite straight).

Depending on the product line I would say certain ones work wonders for my hair. I have 3b/3c hair and surprisingly the curly talk line does nothing for my hair. I use the Naturals collection and tried four different products from the line and did a good job managing my hair. The detangler works well for my hair, the only downside is if you use too much it leaves a film on the hair but the overuse of any product would. For the price point, I would say these are good products, especially if you are traveling and need to pick up something quick and affordable.

I have not found a purple shampoo that beats not your mother's! Even salon stuff. I love that it suds well, doesn't smell weird, cruelty free, and the price is great. I also like their 10 in one leave in product a lot for my dry damaged hair.

I have thin straight hair, and I used the beach waves spray. I cannot say that it made too much of a difference, but that could be due to my hair type. It smells amazing though!

I have loved the hair products from this brand. I think their hair gels are some of the best on the market. Their dry shampoo, shampoos, and conditioner have all done right by my hair, but I do feel like there are better options out there overall.

I have a few of their curly girl Products and I have liked them so far!

I've used Clean Freak Dry Shampoo for years until recently picking up another brand. While Not Your Mother's Clean Freak *works* I found this other brand to work 1-2 days longer. Meaning, I wash my hair on Sunday, use Clean Freak Monday/Tuesday then I'll need another wash. Another brand will last me through Wednesday/Thursday. Again, it works and I like it... but there are still other options.

NYM Scalp Cleansing Oil with Amazonian White Clay is a definite HG for me. I’ve tried other scalp scrubs and cleansers but this will always be my absolute favorite product. This product does not make my scalp dry but it gently cleanses without being abrasive. It also smells okay which is nice considering many NYM products smell like little old lady perfumes. The only other downside is that I can’t find it in stores anymore.

I’ve been integrating Not Your Mother’s leave-in conditioner and curl cream into my routine, and the results have been great! Having thin, curly hair has made me a little picky when it comes to hair care products. These particular items have been a revelation in that regard. Since NYM’s products don’t have silicones, my hair feels rejuvenated and healthy without that heavy, weighed-down sensation often resulting from other products. The leave-in conditioner smells a little like candy, which I love. Its spray format simplifies my mornings – a couple of quick spritzes and I’m good to go. I’ve also found that by alternating these products with others, I maintain a balance and avoid overloading my hair with protein.

I use hair spray from this company and it gives a great texture for my hair and holds very nicely!

I like the curl talk treatment oil for controlling frizz and giving some moisture to the hair however I don't have any other products to rave about. I do love that they are constantly coming out with new products and collections.

I have tried the curl talk activating mousse and the curl talk defining cream. I like the mousse more than the defining cream. Both are great budget buys for girls with 3a/3b curly hair. If I were looking for drugstore curl products, I'd purchase either of these again.
