MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist brand that delivers natural, blendable color and a polished “no‑makeup makeup” finish—especially via the Minimalist Complexion Stick, Flush Balm blush, Shade Slick lip oils, and Clean Lash mascara—yet several reviews flag weak longevity, patchy or sheer payoff on some items, and packaging quirks like product breaking or hard‑to‑access components. Reviews of MERIT also cite creamy, skin-friendly formulas that don’t clog pores and flatter sensitive skin, while noting issues such as dryness on textured or very dry skin, limited shade nuances for some tones, and brow or mascara performance that’s too subtle for bolder looks.

I was using the The Minimalist - PERFECTING COMPLEXION STICK and one day the product itself went, *bloop*, out of the packaging it goes. I like this stick for its easy to blend formula but didn't love that it broke within the package. This may be a fluke but slightly disappointed that I couldn't use this product for longer than 6 months. Brush No. 1 is a great blending brush that is easy to travel with.
As someone with a busy schedule and needing to get up at the crack of dawn, I love a "quick swipe" style of make-up. Merit has this locked down! The complexion stick is one of my absolute faves on a minimal make-up day as well as the blush, lip oil, and brow gel. That's really all you need to not look like a zombie! My only knock would be the mascara. As someone with straight, short Asian lashes, it really doesn't do much for me. But I love everything else enough to still give them 5/5!
I love the blush, it's ligthweight and so pretty on the skin.
I have their perfecting stick. The color match for me is good and I do like the product but if I have any dry areas, it definitely highlights them.
MERIT is my favorite makeup brand! I use the concealer/foundation every time I use makeup. I tried their lipgloss and didn't like it but the brush and the concealer/foundation are amazing.
I have the Merit lip oil in the color sangria. While I adore the color the formula is a bit thin for my liking and not as moisturising as I would hope.
I’ve so far tried the red lipstick which apparently suits everyone and the brow gel. The brow gel isn’t really doing it for me. It’s quick and they look better but I prefer a darker and more precise brow. The lipstick is nice, good colour and has some staying power but it’s not as wearable day to day as I’d thought. They came with a free makeup bag that I didn’t like and was useless. Id be keen to try a couple of other products as I like the idea of a 5 minute face.
obsessed beyond with their stuff. the blush us so good and I never use blush. also adore the bronzer stick!
I have the glow serum and think the packaging can be improved. When I pump to dispense it splatters and has oil drip down the side of the bottle leaving rings on surfaces. But overall do enjoy the serum.
Have tried many Merit products and they are slowly replacing a lot of my makeup products. The Shade Slick in Sangria is the perfect deep berry color I’ve been looking for without looking silly on my paler skin. At first I did not like the complexion stick, but it has grown on me. The blending brush is the real hero there. I’ve also been using the serum and I can’t totally tell if it’s doing anything, but my skin does look and feel nice after using it! I basically feel like I’ve graduated from my Glossier products and am now replacing it all with Merit.
I'm obsessed with their cream blush, I don't know how it hasn't gotten more hype with all of the liquid/cream blushes that have become so popular. I apply it with a brush and it looks so natural, is very buildable, and much less likely to be overpowering than a liquid formula. You can apply it with a full face or very minimal makeup and it still looks good. This is the only Merit product I've tried but I will certainly try more in the future.
Currently obsessed with MERIT!! Bronzer + blush blends like a dream. Mascara is lengthy and perfect. Brow gel is voluminous. Packaging = luxurious. Customer service is also amazing!

Opt for one shade darker for the bronzer as it can be pretty sheer, but so buildable and creamy which is why I love it!
Love the consistency, look and feel of all the Merit products I’ve tried. The common thread seems to be blendability – everything (bronzer, foundation, blush, lipsticks + gloss) is so creamy and spreads so easily, it’s unlike any makeup brand I’ve tried before.

My complexion stick broke off within a few days of use, but it still fully functional – just be careful!

I’m not a big make up girlie but I’m obsessed with the blush balm! After seeing a few TikTok’s about it I finally caved and decided to give it a shot last year. It’s been my go to blush ever since! I love how it applies and how easy to blend it is.

I'm in love with the new glow serum! I admittedly was most drawn in by the gorgeous bottle it comes in, but it really does work. I apply a few drops before moisturizer and my skin looks brighter and more glowy. I also have the blush that I've only tried once, but it's pretty subtle (which may or may not be what you're looking for). The lip oil is definitely next on my list!
I have the lip oil and like it! The lipstick will definitely be my next purchase. Based on my swatching in store, it goes on super smoothly and feels like butter, and I love the packaging of both lip products.

absolutely love their lip oils. lasts a long time and its not sticky.
It's the brand for all the minimalist make-up lovers. I love this packaging, the feel, and just the overall quality of this brand. I was worried that for all the aesthetics, the quality will suffer, but I couldn't be more wrong: I would say this is one of the rare brands where the price matches the quality you get. In fact, I am surprised it isn't priced higher (knock on wood that they don't get any ideas).

I would include a bit more shades for their concealer/foundation stick. As a South Asian women, it was difficult to find a shade that matched my undertone. With a bit of blending, I managed to make it work, and I really liked the consistency and application to give up on it.
Honestly did not love the concealer stick - the actual concealer stick came out out of the roll and in general is super dry which makes it hard to apply and creasy. Their Cream Blush in shade Raspberry Beret is a game-changer though! Just steer clear of the concealer

The concealer should be redesigned!

MERIT popped up in my insta-feed and I was initially drawn to it by the ingredients list. Since then, 3 products have made it into my everyday beauty routine. I love how lightweight they are + how they don't irritate my skin or clog my pores. I have sensitive skin, so finding the right match is hard. The products I use: -The Minimalist Complexion Stick: Great coverage for my eye bags (💕) + feels lightweight on skin. I had been using Glossier's concealer for 3 years prior to this, and I've *officially* made the switch. -Flush Blush: Love this product, applying it feels niiiice. I've never been a blush gal, but this is subtle + I like. -Day Glow Highlighter: Dewey and fun, meant for the daytime. It's got a great subtle shimmer and feels refreshing on skin. I swapped out my Glossier highlighter that I'd been using for 3 years for this.
