Reviews mention

  • Creamy, blendable textures
  • Natural, skin-like finish
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging
  • Sensitive-skin friendly formulas
  • Short wear blush longevity
  • Subtle mascara and brow hold
  • Packaging breakage and access issues
  • Complexion stick emphasizes dryness

MERIT earns strong reviews as a minimalist brand that delivers natural, blendable color and a polished “no‑makeup makeup” finish—especially via the Minimalist Complexion Stick, Flush Balm blush, Shade Slick lip oils, and Clean Lash mascara—yet several reviews flag weak longevity, patchy or sheer payoff on some items, and packaging quirks like product breaking or hard‑to‑access components. Reviews of MERIT also cite creamy, skin-friendly formulas that don’t clog pores and flatter sensitive skin, while noting issues such as dryness on textured or very dry skin, limited shade nuances for some tones, and brow or mascara performance that’s too subtle for bolder looks.

  • simple, timeless, clean products - easy to use and apply. Plus, Merit has a super helpful customer service if you have any issues with your order or choose the wrong color(s)

  • All of Merit's products feel luxurious. I like that many of them are multi-purpose. I travel a lot and take the bronze balm and highlighter stick everywhere I go. The Glow Serum is amazing and makes my skin look dewy and fresh. I'm giving it a 4 only because I find the highlighter doesn't last as long as some that I've used. But all the products are super blendable and glide on easily. Great for older skin.

  • I recently have been trying to switch over to non toxic products in my home. I was nervous about finding makeup that was non toxic that would perform like regular products. I tried Merit after seeing many people posting on social media. I love their products. Their mascara is the best non toxic mascara I have tried yet. I also use the bronzer. complexion stick, and brush. I would love to try more of their products.

  • I use the cream shadow pot every day! It’s my absolute go to. Doesn’t crease, even on my oily lids! I use the purple color, which is subtly but looks amazing with my green eyes. I get compliments all the time.

  • Merrit Beauty totally slays my makeup game! 🌟 The foundation stick's color options are on point, giving me that flawless, natural look in a flash – the 5-minute routine? Not a lie! 💄 Obsessed with their new solo shadows (packaging can be a bit of a challenge), killer brow game, and the mascara is my ride-or-die. 🚀 I have pretty much all their products and love them but, I wish they would keep the neutral brow 1980 in their regular lineup. Eyeliner and lip liner options would be the icing on the glam cake. Merrit Beauty, you've got my face feeling fierce in no time! 🎉 #MerritMagic #5MinuteGlowUp

  • I recently purchased the Merit cream blush and it's quickly become one of my all time favorite make up products. I love that this is a clean beauty brand, I think the idea behind having just a few products that you use daily is great and their packaging is really stylish. I can't wait to try their other products.

  • The worst mascara. But I kinda like their lipstick in the shade 1990. But the color range is not fair-skin friendly. They need more colors for people who have fair skin…

  • Merit has become a new favourite for a subtle or “no makeup” makeup look. I LOVE their highlighter stick and flush balm, and have a set at the office for quick touch ups, as well as one at home. Plus, if i’m out all day or travelling, they are so easy to transport, and look great on a variety of skin tones! I also ADORE their lip oil (the original! Haven’t tried the new one yet). It’s hydrating & not sticky, and easy to put on, and gives you the most gorgeous and subtle tint. I am obsessed!! I recently tried their GREAT SKIN; and to be honest haven’t noticed if it’s doing anything for me, so that may be a skip in the future, but i’d like to try their complexion sticks and their new lip oils as well!

  • Merit in a nutshell is Glossier done in business casual. I live for their chic social persona and effortless visuals that make the everyday feel so luxurious. As a brand, I think they’re really great at making every moment with them feel like a rich yet effortless experience. In terms of product, I’ve tried their complexion stick, mascara, and their signature lip. For reference my skin type is combination leaning more oily. Their complexion stick worked well on my stick at first application. It’s definitely one that looks good in the first 2 hours and then starts lifting and separating after that. I never finished the product before getting rid of it (it was past the expiration period) but I did get some good use out of it for quick daily runs but it’s not a product I would use for a day out in town. Their mascara was really nice. They really lengthened my Asian lashes and could hold a decent curl. I would consider repurchasing it again if it were on a good sale. The signature lip though is where it’s at for me. I’m a gal who owns loads of lipsticks and I am also a gal who can never seem to finish a single one except for their signature lip. The shade tiger is my absolute go to, whether it’s day or night. I have a warm medium complexion (shout out to all the morena Filipinas out there) and I think this shade is the one. Literally lives up to the product name of signature lip because it’s the one I always go back to. If I had to carry only one lipstick (instead of the usual 5 that somehow always end up in my bag) it would for sure be their signature lip in tiger (morenas take notes if you will). Oh and the free bag that comes with your first order from their website? Fire and nice quality (if the quality has stayed the same from when I purchased in 2021). I keep mine stashed away and will most likely use to hold a Christmas gift since I no longer use it as a make up bag anymore.

  • Oh, I love their bronzer. It is so light weight and give such a skin like finish.

  • Love thé foundation stick, lightweight and natural looking. The blush is amazing, super layerable to get the color pay off you want

  • I came across Merit a few years ago on social media and I recently made my first purchase. I ordered their day glow highlighting bomb, tinted lip oil in shade Marrakec, and their Bronze Bal,. The order came with a cute little bag as well. I have been using the products in my everyday makeup routine and honestly, I don't think I will be going back to my old products. I love how light the makeup feels on my skin and I feel it looks really natural.

  • I absolutely love Merit's branding and packaging. Their products are very easy to use and perfect for a minimal look. I have a couple of their lipsticks that I use all of the time and would love to try more of their products in the future.

  • Currently trying the blush, highlighter, and brush. Like the brush to use with the blush. The blush is a nice color but would like more pigment and highlighter is way too oily and just sits on top of my skin. Overall nice make-up no make-up products but nothing crazy innovative. The packaging also felt very cheap for the price and look.

  • 10/10 would recommend this brand to anyone. The products are beautiful both in design and function. While the line is small, the products are versatile and lovely. Some favorites include the complexion stick, bronze balm, flush balm, and lip oil. They also include a makeup bag with your first order which is the cutest makeup bag I've ever owned and I often use it as a purse!

While their products are lovely, they are definitely on the pricier side. They're a great splurge option if you're looking to treat yourself, but not the most wallet friendly if you're on a budget.

  • The most no-makeupy makeup on the market. The lipsticks and lip oils are the hero products - I highly recommend them. The blush is very low impact and balmy - which may be what you want or may not be. The complexion product is fine for low level concealing but I would not recommend it as a traditional foundation. The packaging tends to be nice, but isn't always (the blush comes in kind of cheap plastic). The color choices tend to be nuanced and unique enough.

Better packaging would go a long way for some of the products.

  • I have used the Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in the shade Marrakech. The color is a very soft peach; a nice fall color.

    Feedback

For me, I did not feel that the lip oil moisturized my lips; I needed to reapply frequently to keep my lips from feeling dry. However, the color is long lasting. Usually when I wear this lip oil, I will wear a clear chapstick underneath.

  • Such simple and minimal makeup products. Always have these in my purse. Tried almost all of their products. Great quality and love the packaging!

  • I've used two of their lip oils, their blending brush and their 1980 Brow Pomade. Really liked all of them. Their brow product is my fave by far (and is better in my opinion than Boy Brow!)

    Feedback

I think some color inclusivity might be great for them.

  • The foundation stick allows for the easiest, quickest application. The formula blends evenly and sets flawlessly. This product has truly allowed me a mindless makeup routine that makes me feel better. Plus, the stick lasts ages!

It’s hard for me to color match usually, but I was lucky that the first shade I tried worked perfectly.
