Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
I bought one box and never again. It was, first of all, quite expensive for the thin box of cereal, but the texture was really sandy and hard-crunchy. The artificial sugar also left the typical aftertaste in my mouth. Not sure if ordering from Amazon left it more stale than usual, but didn't really enjoy the texture or taste.

Maybe hide the protein-y hard texture?
I'm surprised at their mediocre rating to date. They're not bad! The flavors are fine, texture is good, can't complain.

They do stick to your teeth though.
I like the idea of Magic Spoon, and I enjoyed the fruity flavor in particular, but overall I find it to taste kind of gross and sawdust-y. It's also expensive for what it is, and the boxes are small.
I tried a variety pack of Magic Spoon's fruity, cocoa, and peanut flavors. I love the look of the brand and the ordering experience was easy and convenient. For each cereal, just opening the box brought a waft of delicious cereal smell to my nose. I had my hopes pretty high. Unfortunately, they all ended up a bit disappointing. The first bite or two is okay, but I found myself really tuned into the monotony of the texture and even worse, that inevitable fake sugar taste. Low carb, high protein is a pretty nice promise, but it ends up tasting a bit like food concocted in a lab more than anything resembling natural textures and flavors. Of course natural-tasting isn't the bar for breakfast cereal, but it's hard to eat this cereal without acknowledging how devoid of life it feels, despite the lively packaging. Fortunately, they honored there money back guarantee, no questions asked. That being said, anyone curious should try the product! You might like the lab food cereal.

So much was done right, but the flavor just doesn't work for me. I could see myself liking it with a little bit of real sugar and maybe some variety of texture, like a crunchy component.
I love the Cocoa flavor, it is slightly more "nutty" than your run-of-the-mill cocoa cereal. I like that it is both a treat and has some nutritious value.

It is an expensive cereal! I wish they had dairy free flavors.

In theory this cereal is a brilliant idea. In practice, it just doesn't taste very good. It has a wonderful crunch, but you get that fake-sugar flavor/aftertaste that stays in your mouth.

The flavor is what could be most improved.
I was really hoping to like this cereal because of its nutritional value. It made me feel really sick. I’m hoping to try it again now that I have a one-year-old son. But right now I am not a fan. Kind of expensive too.
I love everything about this cereal, except the price tag. I appreciate the ability to maintain the flavor and texture of childhood favorite cereals, without the added sugar. Given the high price, this is more of a treat than an everyday option.

Great quality and lower calorie. High protein lots of options. Could be lower cal and cheaper
If you like marshmallowy cereals like Lucky Charms but can’t eat them anymore because you’re cutting down on sugar or calories or carbs, this is the best Magic Spoon flavor for you. No, it doesn’t contain marshmallows, but the cereal morsels definitely have a marshmallowy vibe and a pleasant, soft crunch, kind of like Lucky Charms marshmallows.
I don't mind the Magic Spoon cereal products. I don't necessarily think they are a great value though. I feel they are more expensive than your average cereal product which is why I've given it only 3 stars. The taste and texture are just okay.
These are a healthier alternative to brand name cereals. I do not feel as guilty giving these to my children to have for breakfast as it has a shorter ingredient list and also not as much sugar. It also tastes better than the other cereal brands.
Gross! I am so over all these keto products. This tastes bad and all the fake sugar gives me a terrible stomach ache. I wouldn't give this to my worst enemy. Or maybe I would I guess lol. I do not recommend. Buy some real cereal and don't punish yourself.

I love having cereal as a midday sweet treat rather than for breakfast but it is so hard to control how much cereal I eat sometimes so I don't even buy it. With Magic spoon tho I can indulge and not feel guilty
Finally it is about time that a brand made a healthier version of our favorite cereals that we used to have growing up. I love that they have fun flavors and the packaging and marketing is super cute as well. I love that it also has better ingredients.
I was excited to try Magic Spoon for its high-protein, low-sugar promise. While the concept is appealing, the taste didn't live up to expectations. The Fruity flavor was reminiscent of Froot Loops but lacked the sweetness, and the Frosted flavor had an off-putting vanilla protein powder taste. Additionally, the price point is steep, especially considering the small box size. Overall, Magic Spoon might work for those prioritizing nutrition over flavor, but it's not a replacement for traditional cereals in my opinion!!

The packaging is cool for kids but honestly the cereal taste terrible. I tried the peanut butter but didn't like the texture, don't like all the oils in the cereal, and don't think it's a healthier option. Sticking to One Degree.
Magic Spoon cereal is the only cereal I eat now! I used to eat cereal a lot as a kid, but found myself growing away from it due to the high carbs and sugar. I'm so happy to have found a a high protein breakfast cereal option that satisfies my morning hunger!
So yummy! I love that I can eat cereal and have it count towards my daily protein intake.
I bring a bowl of this cereal to work for lunch because it's hearty enough to keep me satisfied all day. I usually go for coconut milk, but it’s definitely more filling with regular milk. What I really like is that it's not overly sweet, and there's no strange chemical aftertaste—something I'm really sensitive to. I’ve had my fair share of products that ended up in the “food graveyard” because I just couldn’t handle them, so that says a lot! After everything I've tried for health reasons, I can usually tolerate most things, but this one definitely passes the test.
