Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

  • I've only had the fruity cereal flavor, but I LOVE Magic Spoon. Reminds me of childhood, but way less sugar and healthier!

  • Bought multiple boxes and thew all of them away. The fake sugar taste was unbearable and the texture was awful. Almost like glue when you add milk.

  • In terms of the taste, this is a somewhat unsatisfying cereal, particularly given the price point. If you want a "healthy" cereal that mimics the taste and texture of Cocoa Puffs, etc., this will do the job and satisfy the cravings.

  • The flavor is pretty decent for this cereal considering it has 0 sugar. My only hangup with the cereal is how expensive it is.

  • Must try! Peanut butter is so tasty.

  • I love every single flavor. I wish my child liked them more but all she wants is the super sugary junk from the grocery store but she still eats it.

  • The nutrition on these cereals is great ... but that comes at a cost. I saw so many influencers promote this brand that I eventually tried it. And I could not believe how bad it tastes. I didn't even finish the first box. The price point is also ridiculous for the small boxes. Do not recommend.

  • Love the peanut butter flavor. Will definitely buy again.

  • Overall, I really like Magic Spoon. It is a good alternative when I want something sweet. Some of the flavors taste better than others, but overall I continue to buy.

  • I really love this stuff! I don’t know how they did it but it tastes delicious and its low in sugar, high in protein, grain free. Seriously tastes so good

  • Not a huge fan of the taste but great way to get your protien. It is quite expensive so please keep thay in mind when purchasing.

  • Magic spoon is a wonderful idea for those of us who try to follow a low carb diet some or all of the time. It’s a bit disappointing in practice. The flavors are reminiscent of childhood faves but the texture and taste do not quite compare.

  • i wanted to like these so bad! the packaging is so cute and i love the idea of using better ingredients for these nostalgic flavors. i appreciate the transparency so much. however, i didn’t love the texture and the aftertaste was a bit chalky. they’re so crunchy and hard to chew i though i would’ve chipped a tooth.

  • Not a huge cereal lover so am probably pickier than most. While I liked the variety of flavors, I just felt it was missing something.

  • For a cereal that markets it as healthy, it tasted very artificial on my palate. It coated my tongue in a chalky, gritty kind of way, and lingered long after I swallowed a spoonful. Not crazy about the high price tag or the 7-8 grams of fat per serving either. Why does low carb/high protein stuff also have to be so high in fat?

  • I get the whole lemme eat better and such but the reality is here, that we are trying to package a kids cereal into something healthier for adults or kids bait and switch? Either way it didnt work : (

  • Confused on why they don't have GF options! Also it just reminded me of protein powder very chalky!

  • Love the creative design and marketing, as well as the fun flavors. It doesn't quite hit like your classic Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Froot Loops but they're still good - especially considering how much better they are for your diet! Just wish it wasn't $10 a box because my husband can easily finish it in 2 bowls-worth.

  • The taste and price are honestly a 3/5 but I like the mission and the cocoa one was not bad at all. I don't think I would eat this standalone (because of both taste and price) but it was good mixed in with other cereal/granola. My overall rating is a 3.5 but I am rounding up to a 4 since thingtesting doesn't allow for half stars.
