Magic Spoon largely satisfies those seeking a healthier, high‑protein, low‑sugar riff on nostalgic cereals, according to reviews, but it is not universally loved. Reviewers praise its 13g protein per serving, gluten‑free/grain‑free formulas, fun flavors like Fruity, Cocoa, Cinnamon Roll, and Maple Waffle, and cheerful packaging; common complaints cite an artificial or stevia/monk‑fruit aftertaste, gummy texture that sticks to teeth, flavor inconsistency (especially some chocolate/peanut butter variants), limited satiety for some, and very small, pricey boxes.

Me and my partner I *love* the fruity flavor, it's like a healthier version of fruit loops! And the packaging is just so cute. It is very expensive, so I only buy it at Costco. I've tasted the peanut butter one dry and it's good, but as a general rule, I prefer peanut butter mixed in with other flavors. I've also tried the chocolate one and was underwhelmed, it just wasn't rich enough for me.

Unfortunately I was disappointed in the somewhat gummy texture of the cereal, which I hoped to be crunchy and crisp. In addition, I was not too impressed by the nutrition breakdown compared to some alternatives.
Honestly have been struggling with all these “healthy” and “protein forward” cereals. There are SO many on the market lately and while magic spoon is actually a great brand and the packaging is awesome, it just doesn’t taste good to me. It taste artificially flavored, and sweetened with too of a sugar replacement. I’m a big fan of any product sweetened by monk fruit (I prefer it way more than Splenda) and I appreciative the effort of creating a better quality nostalgic food, but this cereal overdid it. It doesn’t need THAT much to make it tasty. Don’t let the packaging fool you, folks.
got these from costco. they are addicting
I recently handed over a small fortune to try Magic Spoon Cereal, and let's just say my wallet and taste buds have been on a roller coaster ever since. First off, Magic Spoon must have real magicians setting their prices because they pulled a disappearing act on my bank account! Seriously, I half-expected the cereal box to come with a golden ticket to Willy Wonka's factory for what I paid. Now, about that taste. The first bite had me cautiously optimistic—crunchy with a hint of nostalgic flavor from my Saturday morning cartoons. But then the aftertaste hit me like an unexpected plot twist in a bad movie. It's like they sprinkled in a dash of "What the heck is that?" just to keep things interesting. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it lingered in my mouth like an unwelcome guest. Magic Spoon Cereal is for those who enjoy a pricey gamble and have a tolerance for quirky aftertastes. I’ll be saving my money for something a bit more down-to-earth—and less magical. Abracadabra, overpriced cereal, be gone!
Love this cereal! It tastes so good. The packaging is what caught my eye initially, and the cute brand name. The cereal is not a let down at all. It helps make my mornings stronger. I love the high protein!
Pricey but quality is amazing

I love the idea, I love that there is a "healthier" cereal option out there. Overall though, I think they need to continue on with refining the product itself. I was an early adopter as someone who chooses a keto diet to drop weight. The earliest products were far worse in terms of taste and texture, so they are absolutely on the right path. The peanut butter flavor so far is their best yet, with chocolate being the one that needs the most work IMO. There is a lot of that "fake" flavoring aftertaste, which soaks itself into the cereal's milk, almost making it taste like sickeningly sweet chemicals. Again, this has gotten better over the years of continued improvement. If something can be done between the flavoring/sweetener blend, I will update this review!

It’s okay, you can definitely taste that it’s a low sugar cereal but it serves it’s purpose
I tried the the Magic Spoon Fruity Keto and Grain Free Cereal and I had high hopes as it seemed like a good alternative to regular cereal. However, after trying it, I was really disappointed as the cereal was really dry and didn’t have much flavor. Overall I’d give this product a 1/10.
great flavor
i found this to be disgusting

Was excited to try the fruity one as it’s better ingredients than Froot Loops & I heard it tasted the same but I saw it had bioengineered ingredient warning!

Magic Spoon cereal is not your average breakfast cereal – it's a guilt-free indulgence that brings back the nostalgia of childhood while offering a healthier alternative. As someone who values both taste and nutrition, I've been thoroughly impressed by the innovative approach that Magic Spoon brings to the cereal aisle.
I wanted to like it more than I did... I purchased a couple boxes on my own and the brand sent a couple new flavors when they released them. They're tasty and a great option for a higher protein snack, but I didn't finish the boxes and they ended up collecting dust or I gave them away. My partner said he could taste something similar to his workout supplements so he didn't like it as much. My biggest issue was that the texture was sticky and I felt like I had to pick out the cereal from my molars, similar to some candies. I still think it could be a good option for people who need to make the dietary adjustments, but since I don't have many restrictions I won't be reaching for it. I will say the flavor of the blueberry muffin was delicious, but the other cons just prevented me from eating it as a snack or meal.
Extremely expensive good macros but not super great taste. Not too bad of a cereal, definitely eating it knowing that it’s healthier, but I would never pay full price.
