L’Occitane En Provence earns positive reviews for sensorial, moisturizing formulas—especially its hand creams, Verbena line, and Almond Shower Oil—so the brand is good at delivering soft, nourished skin with elegant, non-greasy textures and refined scents. Reviews also flag drawbacks: high prices, occasional insufficient winter hydration, some scent sensitivity/itchiness, modest results from certain skincare (Immortelle), and a notably poor in-store experience at the Jacksonville Town Center location.

Honestly I really love this brand. I think they have super high quality products. I've tried their hand cream and their shampoo and conditioner, and all of them are great. My only issue with this brand is the price point, I would not say it's an accessible brand by any means.

This is a brand that gets a lot of hype and im kind of on the fence about it. On one side the products are of very nice quality and smell really good, but at the same time I don’t know if I can really justify the price. The products are nice but they don’t give me wowing, impressive results.

I first saw this almond shower oil posted everywhere online and I really wanted to try it for myself. Now that I’ve used it quite a few times, I actually do love it! It leaves my skin feeling so soft. It also has a nice light smell, nothing too strong!

I recently made my first ever purchase at l’occitaine and I’m now obsessed. I love the way this hand cream smells and it feels really nice and moisturizing on my hands. This would also make a really great gift for a friend!

I really love this hand cream. It’s incredibly moisturizing without feeling heavy or greasy, and it absorbs quickly into the skin. My hands feel softer, smoother, and more nourished after each use. It’s perfect for everyday use, especially when my hands feel dry, and it leaves them feeling comfortable and cared for. Definitely a staple I keep on hand.

s in the Jacksonville, FL store at Town Center. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I was going to spend over $320 on Mother’s Day. I had inquired where I saw on line they had a 5 gift set and the employee Cheryl acted like she had no idea what I was talking about so I had to show her on my phone. Then while at the register she’s like let me see if we even have any more available. She said we have been really busy. So she did know there was a gift set included. She also said oh it’s only for VIP guests. Unreal. Then I said well I’ve always had great experiences in this store until today. So she gets the manager her name is Stephaine. She further made me never want to return with her snide attitude no smile with her arms folded standing in the doorway doing absolutely nothing. I couldn’t believe she was the manager she has zero customer service skills and in no way should represent a luxury line such as L’occitane. I began shopping in the Beverly Hills store in 1996. I will never return to the Jacksonville store as someone said in another review they treat you like absolute garbage. Such an absolute shame to spend hundreds of dollars to be treated like this. No phone call to apologize nothing. I was never offered any samples like every other time I have been in a store. Just the absolute worst experience ever. After reading other reviews on line similar experiences have been had at this store! For a luxury store this was more like a dollar general experience!
I’ve had their lotions and their soaps. Their products are very nice on the hands and smell great too. The smells are not over powering. They are just right. A very nice look and feel. The lotion feels nice on your hands and it isn’t greasy.

Great texture! It’s thick but not occlusive or tacky, and it leaves a dry soft finish. It absorbs well and doesn’t leave the greasy feeling that some shea butters use. It provides immediate and lasting hydration and nourishment. My skin feels so smooth after using. The scent is fresh and neutral. Great for the whole family!

The brand itself makes you feel so luxurious when using a Body oil, cream, or lotion, and I fall for that trap. The products are very nourishing and high-quality and always make me feel more elevated and luxurious.

Whenever I want to feel more luxurious, chic, and have softer hands and nicer smell I always chose L’Occitane. I feel like the best hand creams are from there and they have a nice range of scents and thickness. It definitely makes my life feel more elevated

L’Occitane has become a core part of my self-care ritual. The hand cream is buttery and deeply moisturizing without feeling greasy. The perfume is soft yet unforgettable, and the body cream leaves my skin silky with the most luxurious scent. Total staples.

Tried this on a whim a while ago, and it became a night routine favorite ✨ It has a lightweight oil-serum texture that sinks in beautifully and makes my skin feel plump by morning. A bit pricey though — definitely a luxury treat rather than an everyday must.

This is my second tube—it’s become a staple in my bag. Perfect for all skin types, especially dry hands needing a velvety treat. Lightweight yet rich, absorbs quickly without any greasiness. Leaves hands soft with a delicate floral scent that lasts. 💐

I bought this on sale at the Nordstrom anniversary sale and it was soooo worth it. I love the way the oil feels after I get out of the shower, it's very soft without feeling oily. Because I'm usually too lazy to do much skincare outside of the shower, it's perfect because it's just one thing in the shower. I've added a picture showing how it foams up when you lather it, and don't worry, it's not slippery enough to make you fall in the shower!

This hand cream has become a staple in my daily routine. First off, the texture is amazing! It’s rich and creamy, but it absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. My hands feel instantly moisturized and stay that way for a while. I think my favorite part is the scent! It's subtle and comforting, it kinda smells like baby powder, which I absolutely LOVE. It's not overpowering, so it's perfect for everyday use. Overall, the L'Occitane Hand Cream is a must-have for anyone who wants to keep their hands soft, smooth, and smelling amazing. It's a bit of a splurge, but trust me, it's worth it. Your hands will thank you!

It's expensive, but L'Occitane's Verbena products take me right back to the South of France. The fresh, lemony fragrance instantly puts me in a better mood.

The hand lotion is nice, but not the best at dealing with dry hands in the winter.

L'Occitane hand creams are the best! my absolute favourite is cherry. or should I say was? because their whipped hand cream is perfection. the texture is so nice and soft, it's like a literal whipped cream. I didn't know I needed it before I tried it. my hands are very soft from shea butter and karite. love love love!

Being French, I had to buy L'Occitane products and I've never been disappointed. I tested the creams, the eye contour, the hand creams... It's creamy and moisturizing. But the brand is still a bit expensive.

Tried out the Youth Hand Cream & I truly fell in love. I hadn’t tried their other hand creams but this one immediately softened my skin & visibly made them look nourished. It smells really nice, not too much not to little. It’s non-greasy. It’s on the pricier side for a hand cream but you get a lot of product. I would absolutely recommend.
