Reviews mention

  • Noticeably fast hydration boost
  • Convenient travel-ready packets
  • Wide, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Mixes easily in cold water
  • Overly sweet, sometimes salty taste
  • High sugar and sodium content
  • Occasional thick, gritty texture
  • Inconsistent flavor enjoyment

Liquid I.V. earns strong reviews for fast, noticeable hydration—especially after workouts, travel, heat, and hangovers—while convenient single-serve packets and broad flavor variety (Lemon Lime, Strawberry, Passion Fruit, Watermelon, Golden Cherry) stand out. However, many reviews flag overly sweet, sometimes salty flavors, a “thick” mouthfeel, undissolved grit, and high sugar/sodium; some prefer diluting with more water or the newer sugar‑free line, and a few question ingredient “cleanliness” or effectiveness versus competitors.

  • Much better than Gatorade or Powerade. It definitely works as a hydration product but to me the selling point is how much better it is for you.

  • Oklahoma had power outages during a heat wave and I was so dehydrated with headaches and just felt horrible. I drank one packet of the and I was feeling so much better. I now have this in my car, work, and home in case I or my family needs to hydrate fast

  • I'm a big fan of Liquid IV for post hot yoga for hydration, however, I do not like how sugary it tastes. Sometimes I only do half a package just to not feel like I had a big thing of sugar water.

  • These are clutch for pre-day drinking or when you’re hungover. I’ve enjoyed the flavors I’ve tried

  • My go to product for all things hydration. I mix half a packet at a time with my water since I think the flavor is too concentrated for one serving, plus it helps me drink extra water!

  • 2/5 may be unfair and i know people rave about Liquid I.V. and it's nothing personal but the only time i drank this i threw up a lot and it was a really bad and scary memory. the strawberry flavor haunts me to this day... why is it salty????

  • I work at a very fast paced restaurant and don’t have time to drink a bunch of water, even though I should. These help me to not crash and stay hydrated. They also taste good!

  • Gave these in gift bags for a bachelorette. Easier to use than packing Gatorades! The flavours are pretty good and the powder mixes easily.

  • I have an autoimmune condition and this is a holy grail product. I drink a few of these everyday and they are essential to my daily routine for maintaining hydration when I have difficulty with this regularly. I love all of the flavors that I've tried, but my favorites are strawberry and golden cherry. These are way better than a lot of those sports drinks and less single use plastic - try them!

  • Great for recovery, we include them in client bags and they love them too.

  • Love the flavor but I don't love all the additives! but I think it is a good option for people who don't normally get electrolytes.

  • Way way too much hype and marketing money around a product that contains btwn 9-11g of sugar per stick as well …. Plus there is a better option to use without the sugar and all just the benefits. Unnecessary and fails to mention this huge piece of information

Received a free product from Liquid I.V.
  • I like the idea of a hydration pack, but there are brands I prefer with cleaner labels. I think Liquid IV has too much sugar (and I avoid allulose, so the sugar-free option is out). Flavors taste good and it does what it's supposed to, it just comes down to the ingredient list for me.
