Liquid Death earns polarizing reviews: many praise its crisp still and sparkling waters, edgy tallboy cans that help non-drinkers blend in at concerts, and recyclable aluminum packaging; others call it “just water,” note metallic or flat tastes, and dislike sweetened flavors and the recent source change to Virginia. Fans highlight flavors like Mango Chainsaw, Severed Lime, Berry It Alive, and teas (Armless Palmer/Dead Billionaire), while critics cite bitter stevia aftertaste, limited carbonation, non‑resealable cans, and inconsistent flavor quality.

I think the branding and packaging are cool, but I felt like it was no different from other sparkling water or non-sparkling water brands.

It could be great for sober people in non-sober settings since it looks like a beer can!!

Drinking flat water out of an aluminum can feels extremely wrong to me!! The sparkling water is alright, tastes the same as any other sparkling water. I'd buy it if it was cheap but otherwise I feel like I'm just paying for the cool skull branding. But, this is becoming too mainstream anyway.
Really enjoyed this! I enjoyed at a concert in lieu of beers and felt like with a can in my hand I fit right it, plus was doing better for the environment

Sparkling is better than still in my opinion

The brand is freaking hilarious and great.

Water is…fine.
This water is good, but I am not sure what all the fuss is about. I am an avid Topo Chico fan as I love the carbonation of their water. My local Whole Foods was sold out of Topo Chico, so I decided to pick up a case of Liquid Death as I needed some carbonated water. It was also on sale, so that prompted me to buy it. I wouldn't have purchased it as I think the product is a little overpriced. Overall. it was a good product, but nothing to distinguish it from other less expensive sparkling waters on the market.

If it's on sale, it s a good buy. I won't go out of my way to seek this brand, but maybe I am too sold on Topo Chico and their extremely bubbly sparkling water. Although, for the price, I would have expected something different offered by Liquid Death. It doesn't seem very different from other sparkling waters on the market today.
I tried it because this brand is pretty hyped in my friend group but didn’t think it was anything special
My favorite water of all time. My partner and I love trying different water brands (our favorite thing is to go to Erewhon and literally get a cart full of different waters and compare them all, like a wine tasting but for waters haha). So I have tasted numerous waters and I always come back to Liquid Death. It's so good. The taste is impeccable and I also love the branding, it's beyond.
I've tried most flavors of the product. I
I’ve had the plain, sparkly, and lime sparkly flavor.

Love this product! Packaging is cool and the water tastes good. I’m not a big drinker so this makes me feel safer in group settings when I’m not in the mood to drink!

Enjoyed my first Liquid Death at a Stevie Nicks concert recently. I love this alternative to plastic bottles and the fact that it looks like you’re drinking a beer. Perfect option for social settings like a concert. The water tasted like regular water.
This was the water option at Austin City Limits, which is where I tried it. + drinking from a can makes you feel a bit more like you’re having a beer. + cans are recyclable. - drinking from a can means the water tastes like aluminum. - no resealable top

I’m not sure what the hook is here? It’s just canned water, unless I’m missing something? The downside of water tasting like a tin can means I wouldn’t buy again if I had another option.

if you get it you get it
As a water lover, this is great! Not only is the packaging fantastic, but I don't feel odd at concerts when I have this to drink and everyone else has beers/seltzers. Not to mention the recyclable cans are a huge bonus!
I had this for the first time at a concert. While I appreciate the brand's dedication to sustainability, I did not enjoy the taste of the water at all. I'm no water snob, but even my first sip tasted like room temp water that had been sitting out for days. I really wanted to like this brand as its packaging makes it more inclusive to those trying to stay sober, but I did not enjoy my experience at all.
Big fan of this brand and their multiple products! The can keeps things cold & can be crushed to make more space in my recycling bin.
You can almost taste the marketing in this water. Doesn't have the same glamour as Fiji water but definitely subtle differences noticeable to Poland Springs.

I think the beer-can design makes it a great in-between drinks drink to keep you hydrated without the peer-pressure of binge drinking at a bar because your hands are empty all of a sudden.
Honestly, it’s water. But it is good tasting water. You buy this water because of the packaging or the advertising you’ve seen. I personally don’t buy water often (like less than 10 times a year I would say), I usually just keep a reusable one with me but if I ever need water I would go for this one. Love that it’s aluminum and what they’re trying to do as a company.
making water cool again *and* sustainable, by being made from aluminum. The size is more than enough to hydrate you, and you look cool drinking it while at a music festival (and opting out of alcohol). Still has that satisfying pop tab top like any other fizzy beverage (without the fizz!)
Feedback
The packaging and brand name stand out in the Whole Foods aisle! I thought this would have fizz with a pop tab top but was pleasantly surprised when it was just water.
Love the branding and the cans but it's still just water at the end of the day 😅 Fun to have but hard to justify the price really.
Was initially very impressed by the creative tongue in cheek approach to marketing so I wanted to give the product a try. Honestly, I went in with low expectations thinking this was going to be all branding but was pleasantly surprised - the sparkling water is actually really good and doesn't have a weird metallic aftertaaste.
