  • Gentle, cushiony cleansers

  • Soothing, restorative balms
  • Effective, lightweight sunscreens
  • Occasionally heavy, filmy textures
  • White-cast sunscreen residue
  • Potential congestion for acne-prone
  • Intermittent stinging for sensitivities

La Roche-Posay earns strong reviews for reliably effective, dermatologist-style care—especially for sensitive, acne-prone, and eczema-prone skin—highlighting standouts like Toleriane cleansers, Cicaplast Baume B5, Lipikar AP+M, Effaclar treatments, and Anthelios sunscreens. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some formulas feel heavy or filmy, certain sunscreens leave a white cast or mid-day shine, Cicaplast can congest or over-oil acne-prone skin, occasional stinging occurs on very sensitive skin, and a few users dislike fragranced serums.

  • La Roche-Posay is the only brand I trust for my face. I know that might sound silly, but as someone with dry + sensitive skin, the Toleriane cleanser and moisturizer are the only products I've found thus far that don't irritate my skin, don't break me out, and leave me feeling moisturized.

  • I think it works pretty well. it's not too irritating and it seems to do the job. it's not life-changing or anything, but I think it does work and can't hurt to try. all in all good product that seems to be worth the money.

  • After years of searching for a moisturizing product that truly delivers hydration without feeling heavy or tacky, the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+ Cream has become the only cream that meets and exceeds my expectations. If you are looking for that perfect balance of deep moisture and a healthy, radiant finish, this is it. The Cicaplast line is famous for its healing and barrier-repairing properties, and this cream leverages those benefits while adding a powerful boost of glow and intense moisture. The Unbeatable Finish (The "Glow"): Most intensely moisturizing products leave a heavy, sticky, occlusive layer on the skin. The Baume B5+ Cream, while rich and comforting, absorbs into the skin quickly for a thick balm, yet still leaves behind a subtle, natural radiance. My skin looks plump, bouncy, and genuinely glowy—never greasy or slick. It provides the perfect, hydrated base for makeup or a luminous finish on its own. Deep, Lasting Moisturization: Thanks to its core ingredient, Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), the cream provides superior soothing and humectant action. My skin feels thoroughly and deeply hydrated all day long. This has been a game-changer for dryness and tightness, transforming my skin’s texture. Barrier Repair for Sensitive Skin: As part of the Cicaplast family, this cream is ideal for soothing skin and repairing a compromised barrier. It significantly calms any redness or irritation, making it perfect for use after active ingredients like retinoids or exfoliating acids. The texture is rich, comforting, and spreadable—perfect for the final step in a nighttime routine or as a targeted barrier treatment. A small amount is enough for the entire face and neck. It layers seamlessly with other products in my routine (toners, sunscreens) without pilling.

  • I'm obsessed with the sunscreens from this brand but I need them to bring the European versions with Mexoryl XL (drometrizole trisiloxane) to the US! Mexoryl SL is much more effective at blocking UVA rays than the chemical sunscreens in the US, but unfortunately the FDA hasn't approved new sunscreen active ingredients since the 90s, which is completely ridiculous and out of date. Thus I always stock up in Europe, and I trust the EU's higher chemical regulations more than the FDA anyway. Back to the sunscreen - love them because they work, they don't irritate my eyes or my skin, and they blend in well and don't leave you greasy. Always in my bag.

  • In summer, it's perfect and controls my oily skin. Although during winter it leaves my skin super dry. I must say it's a great product for skin cleansing and have been using it for a while. It lasts long because using a couple of drops already do the job, very useful to control acne and reduce oil. Make sure to combine with the other skin care products because in the cold season it might get your skin a little dry

  • I love this brand so much for all my skin care needs. My favorite product that I use is their MELAB3 Serum. It’s for dark spot correction. It helps help clear all my dark spots from previous pimples or scars. 10/10 recommend for dark spot treatments

  • I trust this brand and all their products. I use their cleanser daily as well as buy both their regular and tinted sunscreen. They've never let me down. I'm not that much of a skincare person, but as far as I can tell I am pleased with the effect they have on my skin. Very good quality.

  • Really really recommend pretty much anything from their Cicaplast line. When my skin is dry, literally just using it one night will get rid of any dry patches and peeling the next day.

  • The facewash and bodywash work really well. I know they have a lot of other products to offer, and my hunch is they are good too. Widely available and reasonably priced is a nice combination.

  • I like La Roche-Posay because the products are recommended by my dermatologist for my sensitive and dry skin (especially on the backs of my hands). I like how the sunscreen and lotions easily rub into my skin. The hand cream especially works well when my skin flakes in the winter.

  • Their cicaplast baume is the ONLY thing saving my dry perioral dermatitis skin!!! I put it on after rinsing my face every morning, and then when I go outside to let my dog out in the morning I sit/stand on the deck for 3 mins to wake up, and the fresh cold Canadian air dries the cream down so nice. When it is almost dry, i put my makeup on top and it looks amazing and never gets dry during the day ... my #1 <3

  • I have heard wonderful things about this sunscreen brand, known for its lightweight feel and super effective broad spectrum spf 50. I live in a sunny high altitude environment with fair skin, so I go through alot of sunscreen! I do like the dispenser and this sunscreen is very effective for my face, but the texture just isn't up to par with some of the other spf 50 sunscreens I've tried. I have combo/dry skin, but even this made my skin look a bit too "chemical sunscreen shiny" for my taste (which doesn't happen with every chemical sunscreen! Just many formulated on the US if you know what I mean). The effectiveness and lightweight feel are great, and results may vary. I can see this layering well under makeup but I won't be using it solo based on the sheen.

  • Some of their products are really good! I like the moisturizer I've included a picture of. Some have pore-cloggers however, so if you are acne prone please put them into a pore clogging ingredients checker first! But this one does not!

  • The effaclar duo spot treatment has changed my life!!! I deal with cystic acne, and this is the only benzoyl peroxide treatment that I've found effective before completely drying out my skin. It is still drying, but I like that the applicator and packaging allows you to squeeze out a super tiny amount. I find that I can apply it under makeup without it effecting the application, and I experience minimal stinging. Will forever be using this product, and am excited to try more from the brand.

  • Every product I’ve tried from La Roche-Posay has somehow felt like a little bit of magic. As someone with sensitive skin, I’ve come to really trust this brand, they get it. Sensitive skin isn’t just a side note for them, it’s the focus, and it shows. Their formulas are thoughtful, effective, and always worth the price. Reliable, gentle, and genuinely impressive every time.

  • La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lèvres is my go-to when my lips are cracked or irritated 💦. It’s thick, soothing, and actually repairs — not just sits on the surface like some balms. The only con? It’s not the cutest to wear out, but for overnight healing, it’s a winner 💋.

  • This is one of the best cleansers for oily skin—gentle, yet super effective. It controls shine, clears out pores, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. My skin always feels fresh and balanced after using it.

  • Absolutely love la Roche posay! Especially as I used to live in Europe, it used to be super affordable. Regardless, these products are such high quality and work so so well on my sensitive skin. Cicaplast is a holy grail

  • Whatever is in the water in France, sign me up! I was only buying Avene products for the thermal spring water, but La Roche-Posay is a lot easier to find (any drugstore vs online only). The prices are comparable - pricey for a drugstore brand, but worth it. Dermatologists are always recommending this brand on TikTok and I finally tried some out. They really do deliver! I am loyal to Avene for the thermal water spray, but I'm buying up the cica and other sensitive skin products from La Roche.
