Reviews mention

  • Dermatologist-recommended, sensitive-skin formulations
  • Effective acne-fighting effaclar treatments
  • Gentle, thorough toleriane cleansers
  • Soothing, reparative cicaplast balms
  • Sunscreen shine and white cast
  • Occasional heavy, occlusive textures
  • Notable fragrance in some serums
  • Inconsistent results for rosacea

La Roche-Posay earns strong reviews as effective, dermatologist-trusted care for sensitive and acne‑prone skin, with standouts like Effaclar Duo, Toleriane cleansers/moisturizers, Cicaplast B5, and Anthelios sunscreens delivering clearer, calmer, well‑hydrated skin. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some sunscreens leave shine or a temporary white cast, certain formulas feel heavy or cause breakouts, occasional noticeable fragrance, and mixed results for rosacea.

  • Whatever is in the water in France, sign me up! I was only buying Avene products for the thermal spring water, but La Roche-Posay is a lot easier to find (any drugstore vs online only). The prices are comparable - pricey for a drugstore brand, but worth it. Dermatologists are always recommending this brand on TikTok and I finally tried some out. They really do deliver! I am loyal to Avene for the thermal water spray, but I'm buying up the cica and other sensitive skin products from La Roche.

  • I’ve used a handful of La Roche Posay products. They have all reacted well with my combination acne prone skin. The cleanser and moisturizer leave my face clean without stripping it dry. My face always feels balanced after. I do struggle with acne and recently got the effaclar duo acne treatment that has 5.5% benzoyl peroxide and this actually works really well. I learned the hard way that you have to apply small amounts to your face. The first time I used it I applied too much and I had a negative reaction and my face was bright lobster red. Since then I have been using it sparingly with no issues. This brand is expensive I recommend buying on sale from the retailer or getting it on sale at ulta or using your ulta points to buy. The quality of the skincare products are excellent and I can justify buying La Roche Posay if it’s going to keep my skin looking good.

  • There’s a reason this is such a classic brand. I think everyone should own the cicaplast balm. But they really have tried and true formulas with also innovation and there’s something for everyone. Even very sensitive skin. I am using the mela B3 serum and it’s really helped fade some of my post inflammatory hyper pigmentation.

  • These are hands down one of the best products for my oily skin! I’ve been using a few La Roche-Posay products daily—Mineral Sunscreen, Thermal Spring Water, Lotion Hydratant, and Micellar Water—and they’ve been a game-changer for my skin. They don’t just keep acne away but have actually reduced my acne, leaving me with clearer, less oily skin. While they’re a bit on the pricey side, the results make it worth every penny. I love how gentle yet effective each product is, making my skin feel healthier and more balanced. Highly recommend!

  • Great brand that I first discovered while in Paris. All of the products are very great to use and work very well with my skin. The tinted mineral sunscreen is my daily summer go-to. It has such a lightweight feel with great coverage. The Toleraine purifying foaming cleanser is great if you are looking to part ways with harsh soaps. It is safe for sensitive skin and even is noted to be: Soap-Free Sulfate-Free Oil-Free Fragrance-Free (big one for me) Non-Comedogenic Allergy Tested Paraben-Free. Bascially, it is the best cleanser on the planet.

  • My “universal skin aid”, the thermal water from La Roche Posay I use it as toner, before using serums that require my skin to be wet, I use it always in the retinol-night, I use it to refresh, calm and sooth my skin. And I love it!

  • I am writing a review for the barrier repairing balm. The small 7.5ml , which I use as a lip balm in the colder months. Very effective for my lips in the colder months helps prevent cracks, dryness and splits on my lips. I recommend this product.

  • If your skin is sensitive and gets ruined by winter temperatures, then Cicaplast Baume is the moisturizer for you. Leaves my skin plump, protected, and helps to calm down my rosacea flare ups. Not so good for summer though as it tends to make your skin very oily.

  • I'm impressed with La Roche-Posay's products. Just a small amount goes a long way, especially with the face moisturizer and cleanser. Having the cleanser in the shower makes my & husbands morning and night routine super convenient alongside the moisturizer. As someone who's religious about sunscreen, I'm pleased that I can use it both on my face and body. Opting for mineral sunscreens is a must for me, and when beach-bound, I make sure to choose reef-safe options. Though the sunscreen leaves a temporary white cast, it fades, so I apply it 30 minutes before heading out and reapply consistently during prolonged sun exposure. With sensitive skin, this brand has been a savior. I'm eager to explore more of their products soon. My husband loves this brand

  • Every 2-3 months when I start to deplete my Vit C I try a new one. This was recommended by my facial Physician. I’ve been using this for about a month now, everyone compliments my skin, whether it’s this or a retinol gummie , not sure. There is a bit of a perfume smell, which dissipates after a few minutes. For the price and the amount of Vitamin C, I do prefer a stronger percentage. For the price it’s a good deal.

  • I’ve tried a range of La Roche-Posay products. They’re good but not exceptional for maintaining proper skin cleansing and improving skin quality and texture.

  • “La Roche-Posay Retinol B3: The Ultimate Retinol for Dark Skin!”

I’ve finally found the holy grail retinol! La Roche-Posay’s Retinol B3 Serum is a game-changer, especially for darker skin tones like mine. At first I was indecisive because of the price and if it would be worth my coins. But this product did not fail!! It helped with my fine lines especially my smile lines, evened my skin tone, and most especially it did not break me out for a day. I am so happy with my purchase. my skin looks visibly brighter and more even. If you’re looking for a retinol that delivers results without the harsh side effects, this is it!

  • I have tested the Lipikar Syndet AP+ face and body wash and I was really surprised of how AMAZING this body wash was. It is perfect for dry skin and has such a gentle nice texture. When you’re out of the shower your skin feels super moisturized, soft and radiant. If you’re someone who can’t stand scents, this product is for you because it is fragrance free! I personally like to have a little bit of fragrance but since this product was so good, I couldn’t care less! 100% recommend this. trust me :)

  • I recently stated a new skincare routine and implemented three products from La Roche- Posay. The products I purchased are: Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser, Ultra Fine Scrub and Effaclar Duo+M Anti-Blemish Corrective Gel Moisturiser for Oily, Blemish-Prone. - The products are affordable. - The Gel Cleanser I use everyday and I have a tremendous change in my skins appearance and texture as I am prone to blemish my skin feels extremely smooth after using it and it’s not harsh. - The scrub I use 3x a week and my skins looks and feels brighter - the blemish moisturiser has reduced the appearance of blemish on my skin. Overall, these three products are exceptional, they do what they say and affordable. They work for me and This is my go to products and I have repeated orders.

  • I absolutely love LRP products, high quality, for daily use. I started using 6 years ago Effaclar gel moussant for my acne prone skin and it really helped control my sebum, both on my back and my face. Then after my treatment with local retinoids I used Cicaplast hero to cure my damaged skin. And now, my everyday routine includes iso-biome cream and my skin loves its texture 😍! Also my lips are treated with Cicaplast lipbalm especially during the winter. ❤️Also the price is very affordable ☀️ my favorite skincare linie so far
