  • Portable picnic format
  • Inconsistent wine quality

Juliet Wine is a stylish, eco-minded boxed-wine brand whose reviews say it generally works as an easy, picnic-ready option: strength lies in its chic, sustainable packaging and long post-open shelf life, but reviewers often find the wine itself uneven — sometimes flat, oxidized, or overly sweet — and not consistently worth full price.

  • I brought this out at a dinner party and everyone loved it! I got the Rose, it was sweet and refreshing.

  • I ordered the pinot noir via a Thingdrop, and it did take about a week to be shipped. The packaging is really nice and its clear how to get the spout out. I was surprised at how much I liked the wine. It did need a minute or two to breathe, but it was actually really tasty! For two bottles that I would call good everyday wine, the discounted price is probably at the high-end of what I would pay (roughly $10 per bottle). I'm on the fence about paying full price for this, but I'm definitely glad I tried it.

  • Had the Pinot Noir. A big step up on box wines! Really like the design -- sits great on the shelf. Was surprised at how big it was, the pictures make it look smaller. Wine tasted fresh for a few weeks (until it was empty!)

  • To bring as a gift for a large party, I think this is wonderful and very fun for sharing. But the pinot noir itself was mediocre, I would not keep it on hand for myself (admittedly a wine snob).

  • I'm not very well-versed in wine, so my standards and opinion may not be the best, but I enjoyed trying this one from Juliet! I love the packaging, it's adorable, and a definite bonus is that it is sustainable. I tried the Sauvignon Blanc and found it to be very crisp and refreshing!

  • The wine was delicious and kept its quality for several weeks after first opening. If you have an event with several people you want to serve, or if you want to take wine more on the go (like for instance a picnic) this is the perfect product. However the process of getting it shipped to me was cumbersome, and I ended up having to have it delivered to a FEDEX store for pickup. If these were available at my local grocery or liquor store I’d give 5 stars and would be picking one up every time I had a gathering to go to!

  • Wine is good, enjoyed it. Packaging is nice to look at, takes a little maneuvering to get the spout in place, have to squeeze the bag to get the last glass of wine out so a bit strange. Overall, at the current prices, you have a ton more choices for wine. It IS nice to be able to just open and drink for days/weeks, though.

  • Only tried the Rose and I really did not like it at all. If you are into crisp and bright Rose wines, this one will not be the best choice for you. I think if you are a fan of overly ripe fruit flavors and buttery chardonnay, this might be okay for you but personally not pleasant for me.

  • I am not a wine expert by any means, but I do love good wine at a reasonable price point! I really enjoyed this wine the first few times I had it, but unfortunately, after the first week, it started to taste really stale. This was disappointing as I expect a box to be long-lasting. I would definitely be willing to try again once they address this. It seems like an issue multiple reviewers have experienced.

  • I'm always curious to try new boxed wine companies. Wine boxes are so much easier to travel with for outdoor concerts, picnics and events than your traditional glass bottle. Juliet Wine has great packaging and it's very easy to use. I have had my box open for over a week and it tastes pretty much the same from the day I opened it. I ordered the Pinot Noir. I thought it was ok. I probably wouldn't order it again for that price point but I would try the brand again if they came out with another red like a Cabernet.

  • I ordered the Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc boxes. I absolutely love the packaging - so chic and feels very elevated. The Pinot is on par with what I would expect from an average CA bottle, nice balanced flavor and a soft finish. I had this with a group, so we polished it off in a night. The Sauvignon Blanc is okay. I'd say it got pretty oxidated quickly. It was in my fridge for about 2 weeks and towards the end it wasn't really good at all. So, the packaging is bomb, the wine is okay, but it would be best to drink immediately IMO. It doesn't really deliver on the "boxed" benefit beyond size.

While I love the mission and eco-friendlyness of the brand, I'm not sure I'll buy this online again. It is a bit pricey for the quality, and it's always kind of a hassle to buy alcohol online and be available for the delivery. But, if it was made available at retail, I'd give it another try. I think it has the potential to be a nice party favor given it's branding and first-open drinkability. One additional point is I did have an issue when I placed my original order and their customer service team was beyond supportive and super responsive. Definitely want to acknowledge their great service!

  • Loved the packaging! Gorgeous and high end. Unfortunately, that's where things went downhill. The wine (I tried sauvignon blanc) tasted so terrible that I dumped the majority (less two glasses) down the drain. My husband, MIL and I all tasted it and had the same impression.

  • I received this as part of a promotion. I received the Rose and it was nice and seemed to have a bit of bite to it. I liked it but I was not blown away. I wish I was raving about it but for $40 I was not crazy about it.

  • LOVE! Honestly surprised how much I enjoyed this wine. I bought the rose and my friends and I enjoyed it so much I reordered a second one! It’s easy to carry and aesthetically pleasing. Will order more for future outdoor picnics, festivals, etc

  • Loved Juliet Wine! It is such a fun drink to bring to a party or get together with friends. It is sure to be the talk of the party with its truly beautiful packaging. It is reimaging boxed wine and taking it to whole new level. I had the rose and it was so light and crisp and delicious, the perfect summer drink! And love that it is natural and in eco-friendly packaging.

  • I really loved this wine and the whole experience minus the issues I had with Fedex which wasn't Juliet's fault. I got the Pinot Noir from a Thingdrop and it was really delicious. The cute box didn't take up much space, looked great, and surprisingly stylish and classy. The spout was easy to use. The wine itself was fresh and the notes stayed fresh and bright for the 2 weeks it took me to finish the bag. Other reviewers don't seem to like the Rose or Sauvignon as much which is fine with me as I really only drink red. I will definitely be purchasing again and can see this box making a great gift.

  • Before I even received the wine I was happy with the brand. I purchased the why and then found out I had to be out of town and may not be home when it would be delivered. Someone much be present to sign for the package so I immediately contacted Juliet Wine via email. I asked if it would be possible to send my packed at a later date. I received a reply with 24 hours and they said not a problem at all. They were very kind and accommodating. Once I received the wine I was exciting try it out. It looks amazing and was easy to set up. It’s been 3 weeks now and the wine still tastes the same as it did on day one. I ordered the Pinot Noir and will be ordering more in the future.

  • Beautiful packaging and looks great on the counter top, but very disappointing wine (I got the Pinot Noir). Couldn't tell if it was the plastic that the wine was in or just the wine it self, but it tasted tart and highly acidic - very much what I'd expect from other boxed wine but the packaging fooled me. If you go into this expecting more than boxed wine, you'll be disappointed, so for this price point my recommendation is two nice bottles instead. I'll be turning this into a Sangria instead.

  • I was so excited to try this wine and it did not disappoint. The container is beautiful and the wine tastes great, even after a while in the fridge. I've gotten lots of compliments from friends seeing the box in my fridge!
