Juliet Wine is a stylish, eco-minded boxed-wine brand whose reviews say it generally works as an easy, picnic-ready option: strength lies in its chic, sustainable packaging and long post-open shelf life, but reviewers often find the wine itself uneven — sometimes flat, oxidized, or overly sweet — and not consistently worth full price.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
The branding is beautiful, the packaging is eco-friendly (win!) and user-friendly (dangerous to have this in my fridge), and the wine is good (Sauvignon Blanc wasn't too sweet, just crisp and refreshing). This is perfect for a party, where you don't want to run through bottles too quickly, and it's really great knowing that it's better for the Earth than standard bottles.

Juliet is making boxed wine cool! I would never, ever say that about a box of Franzia, but the branding and taste is on point here. I wouldn't be ashamed to have this out on my counter — despite my strong opinion that you should drink what you like, even if that is Franzia :) Very chic packaging, I could definitely see myself bringing this to a party. The rose won out for me over the pinot noir. Light, crisp, fruity. It would be the perfect patio sipper for a warm day.
Feedback
The pinot noir felt a little... empty. There's not much to it. If you're not a red lover, this is probably a good red wine for you. Love that they're eco-friendly, but in my shipment, there was a note that said the box was recyclable and that I could send back my empty plastic wine bags for proper recycling in the included return sleeve. Unfortunately, there was no return sleeve in my box. Finally — at $55+ after shipping per container, I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay $27/bottle for this wine. It's good, but I can buy a better bottle for less.

The packaging is stunning for sure, beautiful to have out on a table at an event. However the wine itself was not the best. The first glass of the Rose was alright but after putting the box in the refrigerator overnight the wine the next day was undrinkable. I typically expect wine in a box to last at least a few days. Gorgeous concept but the quality of the product itself was lacking

I think this is such a fantastic concept - a perfect example of a product ripe for innovation and disruption and female-founded. I ordered Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. I'm no wine snob so can't really speak to the quality compared to other boxed wines or comparable bottles but enjoyed both. The red definitely benefits from getting a little time to breathe and the white was pleasant from first pour. I've really enjoyed having them on my bar cart and think they're a perfect option to bring along to book clubs, picnics, etc, or for gifting. Enjoyed my experience overall, and would rebuy and recommend to others.

I didn't think of it on my own but agree with other feedback about the quality + quantity vs. price. The Thingdrop discount was, of course, awesome but I wouldn't be jumping to buy this again at retail just to drink at home. I'd like to know more specific sustainability specs but know they're in the early stages and feel sure there's a lot more to come. +1 on the packing materials, only one of mine came with bubble wrap but seems like they're just working out a few kinks.

I tried this via thingdrop and was excited about the potential but overall disappointed. Took over a week to ship. I didn't get a true sense on how this is any more sustainable than boxed wine at the store. The package is smaller and holds less than competitors. The wine itself was not the greatest (I tried the rose) it lacked acid and tasted slightly medicinal. I would be willing to try other varietals if it didnt take so long to ship and seemed to offer a benefit over grocery store brands, but it just doesn't seem worth it to me.

quicker ship, better quality wine

I was so excited for this thingdrop - the packaging, the wine, the sustainability! My very first impression of this brand is the fact they pride themselves on being sustainable, but OMG the packaging couldn't be further from sustainable. I was very.. shocked. The wine itself is alright, not bad but not worth me ordering online. Overall I think the vision is there but the brand has some work to do!

Shipping took quite a while, but when I reached out to customer service they responded super quickly to let me know they were a little overwhelmed with all the Thingdrop orders and would try to expedite my order as much as possible. I was a little disappointed with the packaging, the box it came in was filled with packing peanuts (not the kind that dissolve with water) and the wine was wrapped in a ton of bubble wrap. I appreciate that the product itself has sustainable packaging, but if the shipping materials aren’t sustainable it kind of defeats the purpose. The wine itself is very tasty, I ordered the rosé and have been enjoying it so far. I don’t think I would order online from them again but if they were carried in a store near me I would definitely purchase in person.

Would love to see this in local stores or the shipping materials to be more sustainable!

Was eager to try Juliet as a disruptor of mediocre boxed wine. The brand, presentation, packaging, and experience is very good! Opened it up at a birthday party and it was the talk of the room. The Pinot Noir was just ok for the collective group, who drinks quite a bit of wine together. Overall, the experience was fantastic and I'll try a few of the other wines before dismissing it entirely, but I think I paid for the brand experience more than the quality of wine, as it left me wanting something else in my glass.

this was just okay. the packaging is obviously beautiful but the rose was just okay and slightly metallic tasting. not sure if they have nailed the bag concept yet because the wine got progressively worse over time, which is not what i would expect from a boxed wine concept.
