Reviews mention

  • Low-glycemic formula, blood-sugar friendly
  • Soft-baked, chewy cookie texture
  • Colorful, eye-catching packaging
  • High-fiber, portion-controlled packs
  • Occasionally dry, cakey texture
  • Noticeable sweetener aftertaste
  • Small cookie size, scant quantity
  • Inconsistent, muted flavor intensity

Joydays earns largely positive reviews as a low-glycemic, low-sugar cookie that satisfies sweet cravings without spikes, with many comparing the soft-baked texture to Chewy Chips Ahoy and praising colorful packaging, generous chocolate chips, fiber, and portion-controlled packs. Reviews also flag downsides: frequent dryness or “healthy”/aftertaste notes, small cookie size, inconsistent texture, and polarizing flavors (notably peanut butter), making them a better-for-you alternative rather than a true classic cookie replacement.

  • These were great cookies! They were definitely softer than I expected which was nice and the taste was good. A little expensive and was much harder to find in store. I had to go on the app and look for which isle it was in since it wasn’t by all the other food

  • Cravable sweet treats. These cookies are nice and perfectly crumbly and with a great chocolatey taste. Low sugar and healthier than your regular cookies. Great for desert on a calorie deficit.

  • The cookies were a mess and mostly broken when I opened the box. Chocolate was melted all over the inside of the packaging. Not super appetizing. I like the listed benefits and nutrition facts, but the taste wasn’t anything special. They’re ok. Texture wise, dry and cakey.

  • i didn't realise these weren't vegan, so i gave them to a friend. he said they were very tasty. he is a sugar fiend, so they were much appreciated. he liked the texture too.

  • I found the cookies to be a bit disappointing for the cost. The cookies were quite small and the flavor was fine but nothing particularly special. At the price point of several dollars though I couldn't see buying them again

  • Definitely more nuts than chocolate cookie. That being said, not a bad thing. Would explain the healthier alternative.

  • I tested the chocolate chip cookies through Thingtester's program. I like that the packages are convenient, there are 2 cookies in each bag, and it's easy to toss them into a bag and have something relatively healthy that is packaged. However, I would not call the product a cookie - the texture is more similar to a looser Clif bar. It's great that Joydays has healthy ingredients and low sugar, but I doubt it would scratch the same itch as a chocolate chip cookie.

  • Way too dry & "healthy" tasting to satisfy raging sweet teeth... also wish there was a vegan option! For the price of these, the relatively small portion size & the fact that they only seem to be available at very scattered Walmarts (at least in my area), I'd only recommend these for people whose dietary requirements preclude more traditional packaged cookies.

  • I love a soft cookie over a crunchy one, so I was happy to see one that has lower sugar. I was only able to find the smaller pack in local stores that had about three, perhaps four cookies. I enjoyed what I tasted, though I think the taste was a bit fleeting. After the small amount of cookies were gone, I felt somewhat unsatisfied. The high price point for so few cookies made me feel that the value proposition was a bit on the lower side.

  • I think it’s really cool they made a healthy cookie and it tastes pretty good! I tried the peanut butter flavor and it was not sweet. The cookies are chewy :)

  • Not my favorite. The flavor was a little wierd. Not bad though if you are wanting a cookie that is low in sugar.

  • The cookies are good, my favorite would be the peanut butter although they do get you a little thirsty. Pair with milk and will be good! I will say they have a slight after taste but I might just be getting used to it

  • I could not tell these were a low sugar cookie so I was impressed. However the cookies were so small and so expensive for the 2 pack. I would never ever pay what they cost which is unfortunate because these could be a great alternative for people with medical requirements, etc. I liked the texture and the flavor otherwise. I tried these for free from Thingtesting.

  • Delicous, they aren't crisp cookies but rather soft and have an oatmeal cookie like texture. They do have a "healthy" taste but it dissipates in a couple seconds. They are quite expensive, with only 10 cookies per package.

  • While these might be low-sugar cookies, I'd rather have non-healthy ones that taste better. The flavor of these is weird and the texture isn't great. It's pretty soft/chewy and doesn't taste much like a cookie.

  • These cookies are delicious. I am trying to cut sugar but chocolate chip cookies are my fave! I am so happy to have Joydays so I can indulge myself when I have that craving. They are much better than other low-sugar treats, and I love how cute the packaging is as well. Buy Joydays if you're looking for a healthy cookie. Note, however, that these are pricey so buy as a special treat rather than an everyday indulgence.

  • The texture and flavor of these wasnt the best- they were fairly dry. However, if you want a healthy alternative to cookies and this fits your dietary requirements, this could work for you!
