Reviews mention

  • Elegant reusable glass dispensers
  • Fresh, appealing signature scents
  • Eco‑minded concentrate system
  • Broad, curated product selection
  • Confusing, aggressive subscription model
  • Inconsistent sprayer component durability
  • Breakable glass bottle vulnerability
  • Occasionally underpowered cleaning efficacy

Grove Collaborative earns largely positive reviews for effective, fresh‑smelling, eco‑minded cleaning and home essentials, but frustration around an aggressive, confusing subscription model and occasional product quality issues tempers the praise. Reviews credit the brand’s reusable glass dispensers, concentrates, scents like Lemon Eucalyptus and Orange Rosemary, and broad curated selection (from Dirty Labs to OSEA), while calling out weak sprayers, breakable glass bottles, hit‑or‑miss house‑brand tools, and packaging waste; buyers who dislike subscriptions or want maximum cleaning power may be disappointed.

  • I transitioned our home to healthier and more sustainable cleaning products during Covid. This is one of the brands I use. I like the lavender and orange scents. We use all of the formulas. They work just as good as your typical cleaners without a strong obnoxious smell. Have repurchased many times.

  • Grove is AMAZING! After finding Grove I’ve recommended it to multiple friends and family members. I love their mission and the products they endorse, and adjusting deliveries is so easy.

  • My partner actually ordered a starter set from Grove for our place and I've really enjoyed it. We got lots of free extras thrown in with our order and it was extremely worth the money. It feels nice to support green and sustainable cleaning products, I've never done well with the super chemically scents and formulas. Grove Collaborative goes above and beyond by getting rid of single use plastic waste in a way that doesn't break the bank.

  • I have tested quite a few products from Grove Collective, but mostly the Hand Soap and Dish Soap. I want to be the person who's all in and says they understand the hype, but, after using multiple bottles of each product, I can't say I see too much of a difference between this and other brands. I love the mission, don't get me wrong, but the only way I'd buy these is if there was a sale - which is what the case was the last time I bought them. The scents are good, not too strong and not too hidden, so I liked that. But, again, I can't see a reason to spend the extra money when I can just buy a generic brand that has the same results.

  • I found the quality of their products to be outstanding - from the natural ingredients used in the cleaners to the variety of cruelty-free skin care options. I also appreciate that their packaging is environmentally friendly and that they give back to charities such as The Conservation Fund. Plus, their price point is very reasonable so it makes it easy to add healthier products into your home without breaking the bank. Highly recommend!

  • I was a Grove Collaborative customer for quite a while during the pandemic. I liked the ease of being able to select which items I wanted in my boxes and subscribe to the products that I used most. I like that they carry brands that are sustainable and familiar to me, as well as their private label brand. If you buy cleaning products in bulk, Grove is a great way to save money. I like their sustainability and eco-friendly products. It makes you more aware of the products you use in your home. Overall. I always had a positive experience with Grove, we just scaled back on our subscription as we don't have a large family and have plenty of home good and cleaning products at our house.

Overall, Grove is a great way to try out new products that you can find in stores for a great deal. I like the ability to add certain products to a regular subscription box and free items based on your spend with them. Their private label brand is also high quality. I have liked seeing the breadth of products expand beyond traditional household cleaning items. It has allowed me to try new brands I wouldn't normally try.

  • Love the free-bees that Grove offers. Always feel like I'm saving money.

Subscription model can make me feel as if I'm over buying, the exact opposite of sustainability.

  • I love knowing that all prospective products are pre-vetted, and I've come to rely on the walnut sponges, dishwashing soap and a few other products. Each package comes with a little handwritten note, all elements included in a single box (vs. multiple shipments each with their own waste) and everything smells amazing.

It is pretty easy to get trapped in a subscription loop without knowing how or how to change/cancel (or maybe it's just me...)!

  • Customer service stands out. If something gets punctured or is broken in transit they help replace it without you having to jump through hoops. Love that they provide reusable high-quality bottles/containers. The grove brand (their private label) items also work really well too. I don't pay for the membership simply because i'm in a single-person household and don't need "refills" of supplies as often. Sometimes theyre a bit pricey and it might not be worth it if you already have other services (e.g. Thrive, Public Goods, etc). Great Amazon replacer for a low-consumption home.

  • I love Grove! I have been using Grove for household and personal care products for about a year and a half now. During that time, they have shifted so much of their packaging away from plastic to more sustainable packaging. My favorite product of theirs is the European dish cloths. I use their dishwasher detergents and soaps as well. I love their mission and their products generally work really well. Every time you get a box someone handwrites a message on the outside. It's a nice touch and makes everything more personal.

  • I've been a Grove VIP for several years now. I enjoy trying new products for my home, especially when they come in eco-packaging (less plastic). The items have been hit or miss for me, such as the Orange Rosemary hand soap (smells terrible). However, the dish soap and other hand soaps either come in a pouch (that Grove will recycle for you) or in aluminum bottles. They work well at our house! We also have liked the laundry detergent sheets. They work well and are so much easier to store than large plastic jugs!

  • could be more sustainable in some aspects, but good for getting into sustainability!

  • I love love grove. I have been a long time customer. You can't beat their free giveaways monthly. I have tried almost every new thing. I love their brand as well. Their prices always beat the stores. Even Walmart so I purchase from them. Since Im pretty anti Walmart anyhow. I always get a nice inspirational hand written note to. I oddly look forward to seeing it be something different each time and enjoy my stuff when it gets here and makes me excited to clean the house. I also love their ever changing designs on soap dispensers, towels and kitchen items.

I have no down fall for this company. Easy order, easy free shipping, free gifts- YAY Oh wait. I would love more dish brush options. The short stubby one isn't my favorite design.

  • I'm a big fan of Grove Collaborative's message, and I do love the products. I am big about sustainability and doing little things to make my home more eco-friendly and cruelty free. I've ordered from Grove twice now, and I love the frequency at which they offer gifts and samples. I love their all-purpose spray, and I think the range of scents available is great too.

The Grove Collaborative website subscription plan is a little hard to navigate, and the shipping minimum is a little high. The products themselves are reasonably priced when you see them in Target, but ordering on their website means you have to meet the shipping minimum or it's just fair too expensive.

  • I think their mission is cool, the welcome gift is very enticing, and the products work well. If I received it as a gift again I would be happy but I need to be more educated on the subscription plan and benefits.

    Feedback

They could benefit from more marketing campaigns with influencers/podcasters that explain the benefits.

  • Very easy to buy into the ecosystem and I love the concentrate approach to cleaning solutions. Can be a little pricy though and not worth it if you already have enough cleaning products

  • The lemon eucalyptus scent has my heart. This brand is very loved in my household, and I will continually buy the hand soap and dish soap in the lemon eucalyptus scent. The hand soap particularly goes on, very smooth and leaves my hands feeling moisturize after and then just dish soap just smells so darn good I cannot help from buying more.

  • I love being able to find clean/chemical free household and beauty products all in one place. I've found several new brands through them that I've become devoted to - like Acure face and body.

    Feedback

I've had issues with their bottle products breaking. It's to the point that I'm not ordering some of their core cleaning products which is unfortunate. If they don't fix, I'll probably stop using the service.
