Reviews mention

  • High-protein, nutrient-dense pasta
  • Creamy, satisfying cheese sauces
  • Nostalgic, crowd-pleasing flavors
  • Chic, memorable packaging
  • Occasionally bland, uneven seasoning
  • Sometimes overly salty taste
  • Sauce thin or coagulates cooling
  • Small, less-filling portions

GOODLES earns strong reviews for tasting like nostalgic boxed mac and cheese while adding meaningful protein, fiber, and veggie-derived nutrients; many praise flavors like Shella Good, Cheddy Mac, Twist My Parm, and Mover & Shaker and note easy prep and appealing packaging. Reviews also flag downsides: inconsistent flavor punch, occasional salty or bland notes, stomach discomfort from fiber, small portions, and sauce texture issues (thin or coagulating), with some saying it’s not markedly better than Kraft or Annie’s.

  • I was fully expecting to be disappointed by this brand and tried not to get too excited when I picked it up at Target. I'd seen it advertised all over Instagram but it doesn't seem to be available in Canada where I live so when I was in the States ands it for sale I had to give it a go. I'm a Kraft super-fan but I know it's poison so the best I could hope for was something that didn't test like mushy cardboard given it's nutritional benefits. Instead it had great texture AND taste!! I would happily switch it for my beloved Kraft 9 times out of 10.

  • The packaging is SUPER cute, bought it at my local supermarket.

The mac and cheese was really yummy, but gave me the WORST stomach pains after. I have never experienced something like that before with boxed mac and cheese, which was really confusing and not fun. The brand is very LA and after looking at their website, where they sell goodles merch for >$100, the product and brand wasn't great enough to purchase again.

  • I was simply enamored by the colorful packaging and promise of high protein without sacrificing taste so I ended up buying one of each flavor to try. I was actually surprised at how good these tasted and even the texture of the vegan flavor is on point. I will say that some flavors held up better than others (I preferred 'twist my parm' over 'cheddy mac') but none of them had an aftertaste that I sometimes run into with other protein pasta brands. One thing I will note is that it is not as good reheated the next day but this is a small complaint.

Great taste and texture for a protein pasta. I am looking forward to eating these again!

  • This is seriously the best mac & cheese on the market. It tastes amazing and unlike regular mac & cheese I don't feel guilty about giving it to my kids or eating it myself because it has a much better ingredient profile with high protein, etc. Love the look & brand too. Just a super cool product.

    Look forward to more flavors!

  • We're big fans of Goodles in our household, specifically the Cheddy Mac flavor! Tip: Target is now selling Goodles cheaper than the Goodles website.

Some of the other flavors could use a little flavor improvement.

  • Awesome brand, easy to make, tastes great

    More flavors please

  • I am not the biggest fan of boxed mac and cheese, but Goodles packaging and brand interested me. The noodles cooked great and the cheddy mac was my favorite. I was also a fan of the added plant-based ingredients.

  • Goodies is the best boxed Mac and cheese I have ever had, healthy or not. The secret is the sauce for me: it’s gooey, flavorful, and, most importantly, abundant. No paltry servings of sauce with how much you’re given. The special pasta holds up just as well as standard pasta without falling apart like some non-semolina-based pastas can.

The cacio e pepe and Parmesan flavors are underwhelming, and the rotini spirals don’t suit the sauce. I’d love some funky shapes.

  • I really enjoyed goodles, my favorite was the white cheddar flavor. It reminds me of Annie’s white cheddar which is my usual choice for boxed mac and cheese, but I love that goodles has more protein and more nutrients overall while still tasting amazing! Definitely a good alternative!

  • My daughter made this lastnight and said she was actually full after eating it. We make Annie's mac and cheese all the time and love it. This tasted similar or even better and left her feeling full when she can usually eat a whole box of Annie's and barely feel full after.

  • I am someone who struggles to get enough protein every day, so was interested in trying Goodles given their high-protein product. I also love mac and cheese. It can't match my tried and true love of Annie's white cheddar shells, but given the amount of nutrients I was pretty impressed. I also liked the truffle flavor I tried and am excited to expand to other flavors, I like how creative the flavors are!

  • Hands down the best vegan mac EVER. Perfectly textured, rich flavor, super filling meal. I crave this often and stock up whenever I find it on sale.

  • This Mac & Cheese product has more protein (an extra 5g of protein per serving comparing to others) and there is noticeably more fiber in them. In addition, it has a very "clean" (healthy) list of ingredients - a whole bunch of nutrients from vegatables, so definitely a "healthy" pasta alternative.

  • An acceptable box of high-fiber, better-quality mac & cheese compared to the ultraproccessd fecal expulsion that Kraft puts out. Goodles is available in a wide variety of flavors, and has an acceptable price point given then better quality of the pasta itself, That said, the cheese sauce is still packaged, processed cheese powder blended into liquid, and the taste still comes off as a bit artificial, even if it contains 100% natural cheese, Adding less water than directed may make the sauce less watery, though I fear that the cheese won’t incorporate fully in such a case.

  • I LOVE GOODLES. I always have to have 2 boxes stocked in my home. Can’t go wrong with any flavor

  • I have tried a couple of the Goodles and they're delicious. I like the variety of flavors they offer and love that they're woman-founded. Worth a try to keep in the pantry for a lazy dinner night or late night snack.

  • I will preach about Goodles to anyone that listens! On nights when I just don’t have it in me to cook dinner for myself, I grab a box of Goodles because I know it’s going to give me a better variety of vitamins, minerals, and proteins than fast food. I think they all taste great, but I haven’t tried the vegan or plain noodles one yet. The sauce can be a little watery, but if I’m not feeling it I just put in a little less milk

  • Goodles are good!! I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy them at first because I'm a loyal Mac and cheese lover but I truly could not taste a difference. I love how they offer so many different flavors because all of them are just that good.

  • I was so pleasantly surprised by Goodles! I expected it to be good for a healthy alternative, but it's actually just good, period. It's flavorful (might actually be a little too salty tbh) and the noodles are bouncy when cooked right. It's easy to prepare, with you only needing just milk in addition to the box. Highly recommend to keep a stash for quick dinners!
