GOODLES reviews and discussion

Reviews mention

  • Creamy, satisfying cheese sauce
  • Al dente, springy noodles
  • High‑protein, fiber‑rich formulation
  • Playful, distinctive flavor variety
  • Inconsistent, muted flavor execution
  • Salty, high‑sodium sauce
  • Small, unsatisfying portions
  • Occasional digestive discomfort reports

GOODLES earns strong reviews as a tastier, higher‑protein, high‑fiber upgrade to classic boxed mac and cheese, with many praising creamy, cheesy flavors (Shella Good, Cheddy Mac, Twist My Parm, Down The Hatch) and al dente noodles. However, reviews flag inconsistent flavor execution (especially Cacio e Pepe and some vegan options), occasional watery or bland sauces, high sodium, small portions, and reports of stomach discomfort; shoppers who prioritize nutrition over pure nostalgia find it a compelling pantry staple, while purists may prefer Annie’s or Kraft.

  • Fully obsessed with Goodles! Their plain pasta tastes totally normal and has no strange texture or after taste like most pasta alternatives. Their box Mac and cheese is also so good!

  • The flavors they make are all appetizing. I want to like these so bad. I love the extra nutrition in the pasta. But there is something about the taste of the noodle that I absolutely can't stand. I have family and friends who love Goodles. I'm sad I can't say the same.

  • I absolutely love how Goodles aims to make a relatively nutritious and tasty box mac n cheese! The only downside is that I get a terrible stomach ache from all that fiber that's packed inside. Overall, I think I will still be purchasing from Goodles

  • Wanted this to be delicious as it packs more nutritional punch than your standard max and cheese, but the flavor was “off” and not as inviting as good old Annie’s.

  • Bomb.com and taste is pretty much on par with Kraft or other common boxed mac and cheese brands. Love that this is better for you with more protein.

  • I am much chagrined to admit that Gal Gadot's mac and cheese is quite good. The higher protein quantity helps me justify eating these without a care in the world. Are they 100% Annie's quality? Probs not, but they are like 90% plus some added nutritional benefit. So.... Goodles FTW.

  • This is the best trendy mac n cheese I've tried! I order it through Misfits Market which I feel like is a pretty good value. I think twist my parm is my favorite, but I've also tried Shella Good and Here Comes the Truffle and enjoyed both! Easy quick lunch! Sometimes I add garlic salt!

  • This is some of the best mac and cheese I have tried. Unique flavors and on top of that its actually good for you.

  • I really wanted to love Goodles, I got the variety pack and tested all the flavors and while I thought they did taste pretty good, when I did a comparison to Annie's Mac and Cheese, they turned out to not be as healthy as you would think for the premium price that we paid for these. We had no problem eating all the boxes, but I thought the taste was quite comparable (or possibly a little worse) than Annies Mac and Cheese. The nutrition is not that much better than the Annie's either, and for a much higher elevated cost, this was not worth it to me. I have fully returned to buying alternate brands of mac and cheese boxes and sadly will probably never buy Goodles again.

  • It's basically Kraft mac-and-cheese but somehow more nutritious. Really cannot tell the difference taste-wise, it's almost suspicious that they can claim high protein and high fiber but their website has more info on what exactly goes into it. Shella Good, Cheddy Mac, and Twist My Parm are all good, I'd love to try more flavors. The price is not ridiculous either; I'm willing to pay a small premium for a healthier alternative.

Just wish it was more readily available in supermarkets/Trader Joe's/Costco! I'd love to buy a big multi-pack at Costco.

  • I grabbed these on a whim and LOVEEEDD them. Hit for our entire household!

Love the different flavors and the branding. Def different than the normal Mac n cheese and love that they have good quality ingredients with protein and fiber.

  • I bought goodles the first time around for the ciao pepe, but i ended up giving it to friends they were pleasantly surprised but how this instant mac n cheese could achieve something close to the real thing. i also bought the truffle version. It was very al dente with a very mild truffle taste. But overall for this buy I can't ask for more. It tastes better than Kraft and i don't feel as crap after either. I'd say it's a win overall for a more real cheese taste and texture factor. Also quick shipping and no fuss! They had a discount running while I was buying, but for some reason it wasn't working on their website so i got in touch with support and they solved it right away!

If you're looking for an upgrade on your boxed KD experience I think Goodle has it down. Also LOVE the branding, it's so fun!

  • this is my go-to quick and easy meal. it's almost too easy....you get the fullness, taste, and nostalgia of annie's mac but with added protein and fiber. all the flavors are amazing but my favorite is the shella good!

  • I am obsessed. Being a branding & marketing nerd I am loving the fun/retro feel to these mac & cheeses. Best part is, they taste AMAZING. My boyfriend who is very 'anti boxed mac & cheese' is even hooked. We tried the classic flavor to start but got a sampler pack so excited to try some more!

  • Low key obsessed! Tastes so gooood! 💖❤️💕 I absolutely adore Goodles. If you're considering trying them out — start with the Cheddar option!

  • Ok. I was really surprised this product. The mac n cheese is really really good - even my kids liked it.

  • These are good noodles! I like the flavors and the nutrition quality. I was able to make the mac and cheese in a microwave no problem, which is my goal for food like this.

The price point per box is higher than kraft or other boxed brands, but for the additional protein I think it's worth it.

  • Goodles are really good! I am a long time fan of some feel good mac & cheese from the box. I always go back to it as comfort food, but mostly would buy the Annie's when I had a craving, or if buying for my daughter for an easy dinner. Not for all the time...but fills the need. I loved the idea of a plant based, somewhat BFY version, and these hit the mark. I tried the Twist My Parm and Mover & Shaker and was a fan of both. Would absolutely keep buying this. This is never my main thing, but the actual feel of the package is really nice too, just sort of makes you happy in general.

  • Tried this product and was shocked at how good it was. I’ve tried many healthier Mac and cheese brands in the past but this was by far the best!

Overall the texture was good and flavor was good, I definitely recommend making it with butter

  • I tried both the cheddar and cacio e pepe flavor and it was NOT good. The cheddar color literally looked scary bright orange. The cheese was too artificial tasting as well
