Reviews mention

  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • Have been purchasing from Glossier for years! My top picks are Generation G in Cake, Like, and and Fuzz, Balm Dotcom, and the Stretch Concealer. They recently opened up a new store in Brooklyn if you want to test their products out in person. I got to smell their new candles and will definitely be picking them up in the future.

So sad they discontinued their Glossier Play line.

  • Such a simple and easy experience! Love the concept of the store and the variety in products that they have! The setup is so clean and easy that allows for newbies to feel comfortable in understanding the products!

  • My absolute favorite eye shadows! Their lidstar product is unmatched, great color and easy to apply. I wear mine at least twice a week and still have the first tubes I ever ordered! I have also tried their mascara, lip balms, skincare, and cloud paint. Lidstar definitely is the best of their assortment in my opinion!

  • Not a huge fan of their makeup or skincare products, but I am a loyal fan of the Balm Dot Com. I swear by it. It's the only product that manages to remove any dead skin from my lips in the morning if I apply it before bed. It's amazing! I typically keep one tube EVERYWHERE–my nightstand, my bathroom counter, my purse, my desk at work, my desk at home, etc. I also love giving them as gifts; my mom also loves the product.

  • Their tubing mascara is okay, a little dry compared to others. I like their lip glosses.

  • As overly hyped as glossier used to be, I still find myself reaching for their products for my everday “makeup”. Their mascara elongates my lashes and boldens them just enough, without any clumping or mess. Their cloud paints are my favourite liquid blush to put on everyday. And their boy brow sets my brows in place all day. I genuinely want to try more of their products, if only they were available to purchase at a physical location in Canada. The products to me are no fuss, no mess, and I don’t even need a mirror sometimes to apply them if I’m on the go. Great for plain jane people like me.

Please make a physical glossier location in Canada, I’m sure myself and many others would be grateful.

  • A mixed bag, and definitely not worth the hype. Boy brow is great, but you get so little product for your money. I have a very fun glitter eyeshadow... that I can't put on with a normal tool. The cloud paint blush is great.... but the tube leaks constantly. I think it was cutting edge when it emerged for how a lot of us want our makeup to look, but now, so many other lines do similar things but better.

  • Their products don’t necessarily work for me. For makeup, there are many better brands at a more affordable price point. I think they have wonderful marketing and packaging, but the boy brown hasn’t really updated as more competitors are on the market and perform better. Other basics, like the mascara and lip tints are priced a little too high for the quality and lasting nature.

Their skin care has never proved to be effective - and I’ve used both of their masks and their serums. Other brands, like Dieux skin, Paula’s Choice, and Cos RX are more effective at a similar price tier.

  • A pretty basic brand, with well-made products for more natural looks. The mascara is a good basic everyday product, but I would not wear it for more than just natural makeup. The cheek tints are really nice. The "You" perfume smells pretty basic to me, kind of smells like every generic perfume I've smelled. In conclusion, buy the products if you want good-quality products for natural looks.

  • bought into the hype in 2016 but the products are quite frankly mid. since drugstore prices have been creeping up so much, glossier's middle range prices are not so bad. cloud paint: one tube contains MANY applications, but it's not a long-lasting blush balm dot com: not so different formula-wise from aquaphor, but it's cute packaging and a great gift for 14-year-old girls (even the ones whose moms discourage makeup-wearing!) glossier you: the sample smelled different from the bottle i got, which smelled of dust, damp basement, and pencil shavings milky jelly cleanser: not much different from cetaphil/cerave, but i liked the travel size bottle enough to refill with cerave

  • I've gotten my glossier products as Christmas gifts. I have some of their lips and their cloud paint. I LOVE the cloud paint. The packaging is so cute, the quality is incredible and I love the color options. The lip product I have is just okay. It's not the best texture, but the color and light shine is nice! I think there's better products out there right now in the makeup space, like Rare Beauty, but generally I don't dislike my experience with Glossier. It's generally more accessible price wise though than some other makeup brands in my opinion.

I do know there's a lot coming out about the brand needing to do more of a rebrand and addressing some problematic history so, I hope this continues for the brand.

  • The real power of the brand is the overall ~vibe~ ... The customer service is also friendly, receptive and accommodating which I really do appreciate. I wouldn't say I have been wow'd by their products, which seem a bit overpriced for the level of quality, but the products are generally cute with interesting, straightforward concepts.

I do feel like they missed opportunities to make the packaging more user friendly, such as putting an applicator tip on their lip balm. Why make us use two hands and apply with fingertips? What if I am out and about and my hands aren't perfectly clean? Just kind of weird and overly minimalistic to the point of not being user friendly in my opinion.

  • I have their perfume and I love it. They have a cute packaging and it smells great.

  • I love Glossier! I have been a fan since 2017 and have been using the products for years.
