Reviews mention

  • Effortless, natural makeup effect
  • Beloved, compliment‑magnet fragrance
  • Lightweight, comfortable textures
  • Iconic, chic packaging
  • Sheer, low‑coverage bases
  • Inconsistent scent longevity
  • Occasional packaging fragility
  • Sticky gloss, drying lipstick

Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.

  • I was super into Glossier when they first launched, but over time I became less impressed with the products. They seem to pour more money into marketing and branding than they do into the actual products. I have grown more into clean beauty over the years, and have since stopped buying Glossier products as I am not impressed by the ingredients list. This was most obvious to me when I purchased the You Fragrance and immediately felt sick and got a headache from the scent. They are mediocre products with too much hype.

  • I love their products. They have really helped my skin to look healthier. Love them

  • Love their balm and I use it as a chapstick replacement nightly. Have repurchased many times over the years!

    Love their balms!

  • I've only tried the balmdotcom but it's my favorite and is so moisturizing! Lots of different scents/flavors available too and a good price

  • I've purchased many different Glossier products through the years. Some are super good, some are just ok. I keep coming back to them because of their price point, ease of online/in-store ordering, and commitment to a simple, glowy aesthetic (which I appreciate).

The top product that I will continue to buy is the perfume- I truly get so many compliments about it! Cloud Paint and Boy Brow are so hyped that I was expecting them to be amazing, but I'm underwhelmed every time. I prefer the versions from Merit Beauty.

  • Some of this stuff makes me break out -- but I love the lip balm and blush!!!

  • I love the bomb dot com and the lipgloss. Both are so hydrating and look beautiful on! Anytime I pull a glossier product out of my purse, all my friends ask to use it!

I wish the lipgloss was in a larger tube! I ran out so fast.

  • Great no-makeup makeup! I specifically like the bundles that Glossier sells at a slight discount. Products are easy to apply, blend well and come in a good selection of shades. I also like feeling that I can get though a makeup product fully before it goes off. I continue to find new products that I like!

  • Only tried skincare from this line, and it didn’t stand out. The packaging is pretty and you feel cute when using it, but the price doesn’t justify the experience.

The only product I’ve found that’s unique enough to purchase are their balms- the cookie butter one stays in my purse.

  • Glossier is affordable but not the best quality products compared to products in their price range.

    Feedback

If Glossier focused on their quality I would buy their products more often.

  • Have been purchasing from Glossier for years! My top picks are Generation G in Cake, Like, and and Fuzz, Balm Dotcom, and the Stretch Concealer. They recently opened up a new store in Brooklyn if you want to test their products out in person. I got to smell their new candles and will definitely be picking them up in the future.

So sad they discontinued their Glossier Play line.

  • Such a simple and easy experience! Love the concept of the store and the variety in products that they have! The setup is so clean and easy that allows for newbies to feel comfortable in understanding the products!

  • My absolute favorite eye shadows! Their lidstar product is unmatched, great color and easy to apply. I wear mine at least twice a week and still have the first tubes I ever ordered! I have also tried their mascara, lip balms, skincare, and cloud paint. Lidstar definitely is the best of their assortment in my opinion!

  • Not a huge fan of their makeup or skincare products, but I am a loyal fan of the Balm Dot Com. I swear by it. It's the only product that manages to remove any dead skin from my lips in the morning if I apply it before bed. It's amazing! I typically keep one tube EVERYWHERE–my nightstand, my bathroom counter, my purse, my desk at work, my desk at home, etc. I also love giving them as gifts; my mom also loves the product.

  • Their tubing mascara is okay, a little dry compared to others. I like their lip glosses.

  • As overly hyped as glossier used to be, I still find myself reaching for their products for my everday “makeup”. Their mascara elongates my lashes and boldens them just enough, without any clumping or mess. Their cloud paints are my favourite liquid blush to put on everyday. And their boy brow sets my brows in place all day. I genuinely want to try more of their products, if only they were available to purchase at a physical location in Canada. The products to me are no fuss, no mess, and I don’t even need a mirror sometimes to apply them if I’m on the go. Great for plain jane people like me.

Please make a physical glossier location in Canada, I’m sure myself and many others would be grateful.
