Glossier impresses in reviews for delivering easy, natural-looking makeup—standouts include Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the much‑praised Glossier You fragrance—while drawing criticism for ultra‑sheer coverage, inconsistent longevity, and packaging flaws. Reviews say the brand is good for “no‑makeup makeup” days and everyday scent, but skincare feels basic and shade range and recent reformulations (You, Balm Dotcom) disappoint some users.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
A mixed bag, and definitely not worth the hype. Boy brow is great, but you get so little product for your money. I have a very fun glitter eyeshadow... that I can't put on with a normal tool. The cloud paint blush is great.... but the tube leaks constantly. I think it was cutting edge when it emerged for how a lot of us want our makeup to look, but now, so many other lines do similar things but better.
Their products don’t necessarily work for me. For makeup, there are many better brands at a more affordable price point. I think they have wonderful marketing and packaging, but the boy brown hasn’t really updated as more competitors are on the market and perform better. Other basics, like the mascara and lip tints are priced a little too high for the quality and lasting nature.
Feedback
Their skin care has never proved to be effective - and I’ve used both of their masks and their serums. Other brands, like Dieux skin, Paula’s Choice, and Cos RX are more effective at a similar price tier.

LOVE their perfume
A pretty basic brand, with well-made products for more natural looks. The mascara is a good basic everyday product, but I would not wear it for more than just natural makeup. The cheek tints are really nice. The "You" perfume smells pretty basic to me, kind of smells like every generic perfume I've smelled. In conclusion, buy the products if you want good-quality products for natural looks.

bought into the hype in 2016 but the products are quite frankly mid. since drugstore prices have been creeping up so much, glossier's middle range prices are not so bad. cloud paint: one tube contains MANY applications, but it's not a long-lasting blush balm dot com: not so different formula-wise from aquaphor, but it's cute packaging and a great gift for 14-year-old girls (even the ones whose moms discourage makeup-wearing!) glossier you: the sample smelled different from the bottle i got, which smelled of dust, damp basement, and pencil shavings milky jelly cleanser: not much different from cetaphil/cerave, but i liked the travel size bottle enough to refill with cerave
I've gotten my glossier products as Christmas gifts. I have some of their lips and their cloud paint. I LOVE the cloud paint. The packaging is so cute, the quality is incredible and I love the color options. The lip product I have is just okay. It's not the best texture, but the color and light shine is nice! I think there's better products out there right now in the makeup space, like Rare Beauty, but generally I don't dislike my experience with Glossier. It's generally more accessible price wise though than some other makeup brands in my opinion.

I do know there's a lot coming out about the brand needing to do more of a rebrand and addressing some problematic history so, I hope this continues for the brand.
The real power of the brand is the overall ~vibe~ ... The customer service is also friendly, receptive and accommodating which I really do appreciate. I wouldn't say I have been wow'd by their products, which seem a bit overpriced for the level of quality, but the products are generally cute with interesting, straightforward concepts.

I do feel like they missed opportunities to make the packaging more user friendly, such as putting an applicator tip on their lip balm. Why make us use two hands and apply with fingertips? What if I am out and about and my hands aren't perfectly clean? Just kind of weird and overly minimalistic to the point of not being user friendly in my opinion.
Day 1 fan of glossier. Love the perfume.

I love some of Glossier's products, including Boy Brow, the perfume solid, & Cloud Paint.
The makeup looks amazing on my skin
Products are ok, not great. Like the packaging and the brand story.

Glossier's perfume made me nauseous. I was so excited to smell it and all it did was make me feel absolutely sick to my stomach.

hit or miss with these products. Packaging is consistently pretty though!
I wanted to like this brand so bad. I really like the natural makeup look and thought Glossier would be a good fit but I feel like it's just average in quality. I used their "the Solution" for a while and it was working but after a while one of my bottles started smelling really bad and so I ordered a different one, and it also smelled terrible. I asked their customer service about it and they said they would send me a new one and they never did. I followed up a few times and still never got anything. I tried a new toner from a different brand and haven't looked back.

Some products are better than others! It's worth a try if you are into the natural makeup look! They never made me breakout but I can't say it's better than any other brand in my opinion

I like their products a lot! I think their packaging is cute and fun which makes it very exciting to receive a package from them. Their mascara, liquid exfoliator, perfume, sunscreen, liquid eyeshadow, etc. are all amazing! I would highly recommend this brand!
Love the make up products. Haven't tried skincare. Blush is my most used product.

Please ship to Finland.
Overall, I like Glossier and am a repeat customer. I do think their skincare products are much better than their makeup products. I've noticed the makeup packaging and materials are cheaper and tend to break easily. For example, the brush on boy brow always snaps after a month of use so I stopped purchasing. That being said, nearly the entire skincare line is my go-to.

If the makeup packaging and materials didn't deteriorate so quickly, I'd buy more!
As an early DTC brand glossier was in touch with their customer. However as of late they are completely missing the mark.
