Reviews mention

  • Compliment-magnet signature fragrance
  • Seamless, buildable cream blush
  • Natural, defining brow gel
  • Gentle, lightweight cleanser
  • Inconsistent shade inclusivity
  • Sheer, short-lasting formulas
  • Fragile, leaky packaging
  • Variable scent longevity

Glossier earns praise in reviews for effortless, no‑makeup makeup staples like Boy Brow, Cloud Paint, Lash Slick, and the universally complimented Glossier You fragrance, which many call a signature scent. However, reviewers flag inconsistent makeup payoff and longevity, polarizing skincare efficacy, packaging flaws (leaking body oil, cracking lipstick caps, messy Cloud Paint tubes), reformulation disappointments (Balm Dotcom, You perfume), limited shade range, and some products feeling sheer, basic, or short‑lasting.

  • I love a “no-makeup” makeup look and glossier nails it!! I’ve tried a lot of their products but I will say the cloud paint is my holy grail liquid/cream blush. It is so buildable, great colors and you really get to control where you want it and how much!

  • I love Glossier’s products but unfortunately I’ve stopped purchasing from them because I’ve recently heard about their toxic work culture. I’ve used the boy brow, the cloud paint cheek tint, the lash slick mascara, and their lip balm. All of these products work really well.

Treat your employees better and fix the toxic work culture. Many millennials and Gen Z care about the mission and values of the company, and treating your employees right.

  • I have majority of Glossier's product line (makeup, skincare, fragrance, body care, merch) and love it the brand overall. Some products are hit or miss for my skin type, but that is expected. They make my favorite blush I've been using for over 4 years and perfume that I rebuy as soon as I'm out. I recommend people try different things and find their favorites.

  • Think these products are over priced for what they are. They have a cult like following, fun cute packaging, and fun store experience, but the products are honestly pretty meh. The balm.com is just a marked up vaseline. I will say, I like some of their makeup items like their lidstar, but otherwise, think there’s better, more affordable products on the market.

  • Glossier is my go-to. My daily roundup: boy brow, cloud paint, stretch concealer, haloscope, lash stick, and lidstar. Love the lightweight feel and fun pink packaging. I definitely miss the in-store shopping experience...

  • Every single product isn’t a winner (I’m looking at you future dew oil) But all the basics, the serums, concealer, matte lip tints I love. The matte lip tint is my all time favorite natural look. The packaging is obviously really nice, love the packaging they use to ship too, I always keep the lil pouches.

I wish they’d stock in other stores! The in store experience in NYC is too intimidating and time consuming so I stick to ordering online.

  • I like the Glossier products, especially the Boy Brow and Futuredew. I wish they sold on other sites for ease of purchase, but I also get why they don't.

  • The in person experience at the popup in Boston was a good experience. The popup was aesthetically pleasing and customer service reps were really helpful. I picked up their original balm dotcom which i've tried before and also Lidstar in Moon. The balm is really hydrating and I would purchase again. The Lidstar didn't have great coverage and felt kind of tacky - i wouldn't repurchase.

  • Love their liquid eyeshadow and blush. Not a huge fan of their cleanser which is supposed to be super popular. It felt heavy and didn't pair well with my skin type. I usually use a similar whip cleanser from Japan and when I ran out, I tried Glossier's cleanser to see if it could replace it.

  • I love Glossier. I am 100% a makeup minimalist, partially because it was always intimidating to learn how to properly apply it. Glossier has made it feel much less intimidating while helping me still feel like me. The customer service is also great. Any time a product hasn't worked for me, the team has been super responsive.

  • Glossier is and has been a game changer.

Young girls look to Glossier for makeup and inspo, maybe doing some more eyeshadows for people to play with would be cool.

  • I like the communication of this brand, when it comes to the products they are very correct, they do not give great results, but they are very solid products. Pretty good value for money.

  • Irregardless of their products, everyone has to admit glossier set the stage for playful, extremely use-able e-commerce websites. Now they all just seem a copy. I no longer use many of their products but i am very loyal to the one's that i do. Boy broy, jelly cleanser and the body cleanser are all fantastic.

At this price point, hard to fault.

  • I just think you're paying for branding. The products are nothing great. I buy them and almost immediately just lose them in my makeup bag and don't reach for them. The Milky cleanser burned my skin, the sunscreen was way too expensive for the amount and it balled up on my skin, theres so much plastic packaging. I will say that I think the cloud paint is worth it but that's about it. Fantastic customer service though.

  • Love the minimalistic approach and how fun all of their packaging is. My favorite products include Boy Brow and Cloud Paint but I usually turn elsewhere for other skincare needs.

    Feedback

They use a lot of plastic in their packaging. I also definitely feel like there are quite a few products that are more flash than substance, especially considering the products' price points.

  • Love the Cloud Paint - lasts so long, goes on smoothly on the skin and is super buildable! They have so many shades too which is great for mixing it up

    Feedback

Would love to see more acne-friendly skin products!

  • I think the boy brow stick changed my life.

I'd love to test products before I buy them.

  • Glossier definitely sets the bar (IMO) for what's possible for a brand - I'm constantly impressed by their products, their campaigns, their advertising, their social, all of it. It's clearly built WITH their customers, rather than for. The branding is just *chef's kiss*. I have tried just about every product of theirs - some better than others, but overall, very good. My favorites are the MASCARA (it's amazing), Futuredew, the Haloscope, Boybrow, the lip balms are amazing, the body lotion, aaaand now I'm just listing all the products.

    Feedback

It's natural for a brand that's so big to have some haters, who think it's basic. That will never be me, but I hope they continue to evolve and grow and listen to their customers as they always have!

  • I absolutely love this brand and their products. Everything I have tried has been super effective and the aesthetic is adorable. That being said, I took away one star because not all their products are vegan.

    Feedback

    Make all products vegan.

  • I really love Glossier. Every skincare product I've tried has worked great for me + has revolutionised my routine. I love some of their makeup, some is a little too light for my personal taste! Their whole customer experience (instore + online) is fab.
