Reviews mention

  • Inclusive sizing and diverse models
  • Long‑lasting, durable leggings
  • Supportive, comfortable sports bras
  • Rich, stylish seasonal colors
  • Inconsistent, confusing sizing
  • Thick, less breathable fabric
  • Leggings sliding or stretching
  • Sheer lighter colorways

Girlfriend Collective earns largely positive reviews for durable, size‑inclusive activewear with rich colors, supportive Paloma and Tommy bras, and long‑lasting OG/compressive leggings; many say the brand is good and pieces hold up for years. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent sizing, leggings that can run thick, slide down, or pill/lose shape over time, variable quality across lines, and some styles lacking breathability or support.

  • I have ordered from girlfriend a number of times! They have size inclusive clothing and show it on different bodies which is a huge plus. The quality of the clothing is always high and they have great customer service. They also have a great rewards program

    I’d love more basics!

  • Such high quality pieces. I love how they are sustainable, functional, and cute! I've had one pair of leggings for at least two years now, and have purchased more because of how great they are!

  • Love the quality and the colors. I own two sets of yoga pants and bra and I wear them a lot. They hold up pretty well and make me feel good.

The bras should have an options for D cups.

  • I bought a pair of their classic high waist leggings when they first launched, which is about 5 years ago now. I wear and wash them regularly, and they are still in near perfect condition. No pilling, have kept their shape perfectly, and are as soft as when I first got them. Honestly the best leggings I’ve ever purchased.

  • Love Girlfriend Collective inside and out. They sell out of drops quickly bc they don't over product. ACTUALLY inclusive size range going up to a 6X. Not a lot of brands do it like Girlfriend Collective does.

    N/A

  • I’ve liked almost everything I’ve bought from GF and have had great return experiences for those I didn’t. The bike shorts are my fav!

  • I first came across The Girlfriend Collective on Instagram. The marketing is amazing and I was particularly drawn to the colours and models used for the products (very real bodies which made it relatable). I made my first order during Black Friday so I went a little overboard and purchased quite a few crop tops (Topanga halter and the Simone) Firstly, the packaging is very thought out and your order comes with a little free dust bag that I still use till this day. The fabric is amazing

The only drawback for me is that the Topanga crops were unpadded and not very supportive so I don't actually use them to work to in.

  • Where do I even start with this brand?! There are so many things to love - from their focus on sustainability to size inclusivity. Everything I’ve owned from them (leggings, bras, shirts) had held up and are consistently my workout go-tos. I can't keep up with how many pieces I own!

  • Their sports bras are the only ones I’ll wear anymore. As a large-chested person, it has been hell to find good sports bras. This is it for me!

  • I love brands mission. I was one of the first wear testers of their compressive leggings which I wore for years! I was so happy to see this brand naturally grow from leggings into a full active wear brand. However, I do feel that the fit has slowly gone down hill. They do a great job of progressing their sustainability efforts and I love that you can send back product that you aren't wearing anymore to recycle. Unfortunately, fit is key for me in activewear so I have had to switch brands.

    Fit!

  • Really loved their inclusive mission and products made from recycled materials before so many other brands started doing it too. I first tried their yoga pants as a part of their pre-launch marketing trial (free + shipping) and found them to be too thick and not very breathable for regular everyday wear and yoga. They're great for colder weather though, maybe for an errand, and still hold up after all these years. I've tried several of their tops since and found them to be too constricting, like a sausage casing, and equally not lightweight or breathable.

    Feedback

The signature material is too thick and constricting for what I want out of my athletic wear. Feels like something made only for lounging in while looking cute, but not for actual exercise.

  • High-waisted leggings curl over your stomach. However, the fact that the brand uses recycled materials is noteworthy.

  • Girlfriend Collective is now my go-to for all my athletic/athleisure wear. I've splurged extra for the leggings and bike shorts with pockets and it's so worth it. The compression leggings are my absolute favorite. They're buttery smooth going on, and hug everything in all the right places. I love the colors they offer as well, and deeply appreciate the variety of body sizes and people used as models on their website. They have a wonderful rewards program as well.

Currently, the only microfiber solution Girlfriend is offering is an attachment to your washer, and it doesn't even come with all the parts to properly install which feels odd. Not everyone has a washing machine as well. Perhaps it would be better if they 1) Had guppy bags available to purchase or partnered with the brand with a discount or 2) Offered guppy bags as a perk with a purchase over x amount of dollars, etc.

  • LOVE the inclusive marketing. Love the brand's mission. Love my set of workout gear and knowing it doesn't add more plastics to the world.

    Feedback

My desire to wear them out loud, but that's a me thing...not yet ready to rock a matching workout set as an outfit :) But if I were, this'd be my first 'fit!

  • The best sustainable activewear IMO. The diversity of bodies they include in both their marketing and in sizing is INCREDIBLE. The colors, the cuts, the styles - all of it is simple and beautiful. I find myself wearing one or the other almost every workout.

The bras fit better than the leggings in my experience

  • I can't get enough of their sets. I have several, they come in such fun colors, they fit great and cover all the areas you don't really want hanging out while also keeping you looking tight. Their sports bras are my absolute favorite- they keep the ladies strapped down for runs and somehow don't give me an excessive back fat roll which is lovely. I love their mission, their values, and their process and how they treat their employees!

  • I'm a longtime GC wearer! I've had 3 sets of GC workout wear for several years now, and they've lasted me a long time. I appreciate their mission, and I continue to feel good in these clothes. I used to get so excited for the drops, knowing that they were limited and colors would be available for only a short time. They were also one of few brands where I could purchase leggings at the appropriate length for my height, as a five-foot-tall person. My one gripe is that the waistband flips out when I bend over... IS that a me-problem? I wish it didn't happen, bevcause sometimes that's enough for me to pick a different brand of leggings to wear to the gym...

  • The only activewear brand I wear anymore. The leggings are so perfect for my stronger thighs, very minimal pilling at the inner thigh seams. I love the colors. I always feel "held" in these products. Great customer support and rewards benefits. Only downside is shipping is about 2 weeks and I hate waiting so long for my cute sets but its worth it everytime.
