  • Inclusive sizing and diverse models

  • Supportive, comfortable sports bras
  • Rich, stylish seasonal colors
  • Inconsistent, confusing sizing
  • Thick, less breathable fabric
  • Leggings sliding or stretching

Girlfriend Collective earns largely positive reviews for durable, size‑inclusive activewear with rich colors, supportive Paloma and Tommy bras, and long‑lasting OG/compressive leggings; many say the brand is good and pieces hold up for years. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent sizing, leggings that can run thick, slide down, or pill/lose shape over time, variable quality across lines, and some styles lacking breathability or support.

  • I have had a pair of leggings from girlfriend collective for 6 years and they still feel as soft as they do when i first got them. There’s a tiny hole and a little bit of loose threadings but i still wear them often

  • I love the size inclusiveness of Girlfriend Collective. I've been wearing their products for years now, and they really stand up to the test of time.

  • i'm definitely not their target demographic, but their products are well made and durable, comfortable, and also relatively sustainable. one of their higher-support sports bras filled in for my old binder and comfortably and safely got me through a sweltering summer. i ended up donating it after about a year (top surgery made it unnecessary to keep using any sort of support garment), and it looked as good as new.

  • Girlfriend Collective is the only athletic brand that I wear. I mostly wear the compressive pocket legging and their sports bras. The material is comfortable and luxe. What drew me to the brand is its recyclability and its commitment to circularity with its products. They have a take-back program where you can have your old leggings recycled and get a credit to use on new leggings. I find such comfort in knowing that my leggings won't end up in a landfill if they tear or get stained. I haven't tried their other materials (FLOAT and Luxe), so I'm curious if those would compare well to Alo or Lululemon. My only gripe is that Girlfriend doesn't quite have that feel of Lululemon or Alo that flatters the body. I would love to see them develop thinner, more Lululemon-like leggings.

  • I’m an early Girlfriend customer, all the way back from when they were on Kickstarter. I LOVE this company and their products. They’re size inclusive, have great colors to choose from, and the quality is amazing. The product hasn’t changed as they’ve scaled as a company and I haven’t found leggings, sports bras, or other athleisure I like more.

  • I have purchased several pieces from this line, soft, well fitted and overall a good athleisure line.

  • I love these sports bras! The fabric feels so nice and they keep their color after many many washes. They also have a great deal where if you want to get new ones, you can send your old ones to them to get a discount towards a future purchase!

Amazing quality! I just wish they had more nude shades.

  • Figuring out which size fit me best was a struggle since there is minimal stretch however the quality of the fabric is amazing and they are so cute to wear on my workouts. I would definitely recommend

  • Girlfriend Collective is my new go to for athletic wear. They have all different styles, and their athletic skirts are my favorite. They’re the perfect cut and incredibly comfortable. I also love that they’re sustainable and have models of all different body types! It’s a little pricey, but worth it to buy a few quality products that are more ethical and sustainable.

UTILIZE THEIR STUDENT DISCOUNT!! I bought a few things on sale AND with their student discount, which I very much appreciated.

  • I discovered this brand on Altitude Sports and bought a top with to expectation really. The first thing that shocked me was how much the tissue was soft and confortable. I have wear my white top a ton and the tissue is still in good condition after more than a year of use. I like that they are more into basic colours than patterns.

I would say the fit is true to size and that the top was perfect for a small chest. I have not tested other products but I have heard a lot of good things about the brand in general.

  • I love this company. I love their ethos and I love their products. I have multiple of their sports bras and a few of their skorts. The material is so soft and the colors everything comes in allows me options of neutrals or striking bright colors. Their sports bras are some of the best and most comfortable I have found and I can workout in them and feel comfortable and supported.

  • I’ve been buying Girlfriend Collective for years! I love their company mission of selling sustainable activewear from recycled materials and it’s something I love to support. They have a very good loyalty program, where you can earn points on purchases and apply that towards discounts on your next purchase. I also have not yet done this but I noticed they have a buyback program if you want to get rid of your old Girlfriend apparel (only applicable for certain items) - they send you a mailing bag and you ship it back for them to recycle, and they in turn apply a 15$ credit to your account! I will say that the items themselves are hit or miss - I’ve bought a lot of stuff from them over the years and I love and use the 1) Paloma Bra, 2) Lola Float Bra, 3) their white quarter crew socks, and 4) their cropped fleece pullover. The Paloma bra is very supportive, flattering, somewhat longline and suitable for higher-impact activities, the only con being the thickness of the material means that it can take longer to air dry which is a problem if you’re traveling and don’t have access to a dryer. The Lola Float Bra, on the other hand, is less supportive (suitable for light to medium impact activities - wouldn’t run in them), but very breathable and light, also flattering, and dries quickly. I find the quarter crew socks to be extremely comfortable and just always have a bunch on hand (they are the only white socks I wear!) Lastly, I live in their cropped pullover fleece during the winter as it is the perfect length for my height (5”5) and is super warm and cozy. I personally wouldn’t recommend their leggings as I don’t really find they are flattering or stay up well - I’ve tried their signature compressive legging, their compressive legging with pockets, and the float legging. Out of all of those, the float legging was definitely the most breathable and comfortable, but my butt did not look great as they were just not very supportive. Overall though, I love this company and their mission, and will be supporting them for many years to come!

  • I’ve tried a few times to love their stuff but the fit just isn’t it in their leggings. Accentuates the lower belly fat and is not flattering or pulls too much on the inner thigh of you have a bigger butt. Have a pair of shorts that I love but won’t buy leggings here anymore.

  • I really love their clothes - but they often go out of stock of things and the CS experience is lacking. I've also found their shipping times are all over the place. The ethos of the brand is amazing but it's just an all over the place experience.

Recommend you work on shipping options, following up on rewards points (I'm a loyal customer and have had many issues with them), and restocking out of stock items (like the bralettes!!)

  • I’ve a hoodie from here that I do like but it only really serves as a layer & isn’t very comfortable or warm. I enjoy their color ways though and think they offer colors that other brands don’t!

    Feedback

Out of all athletic ware I don’t think this is as comfortable as others I’ve tried - but I do like their ethos and their clean materials and I will repurchase and try something else!

  • I purchased one of the original Girlfriend Collective leggings wayyy back when they first launch! To this day, they are still some of my favorite leggings. They've lasted 5+ years at this point! They are some of the softest, smoothest, most form-fitting leggings I've owned.

    Feedback

Make sure to double check the fabric type, as the leggings I have are great for cool/cold weather, but I definitely sweat in them when I wear them in hot weather. Also be aware the high-waist is pretty high.

  • so fun fact, i got my first and only pair of girlfriend collective tights when they first started out a while back. all i had to do was pay for shipping. they are one of the best tights i own. they hold up well, despite being a liiiiitle old now. i chose the high waisted situation and they never let me down. i have yet to purchase a new pair because they’re a little on the pricy side. but they are excellent quality and now come in a variety of other colors and options.

Pros: size range, materials last a long time and feel luxurious, Cons: kind of expensive, the designs could sometimes use a few tweaks. I have the unitard with spaghetti straps and it has so little support the unitard just slides down.

  • I have a few clothing items of theirs that I wear on the reg, especially their fleece pullover. Overall cozy apparel that's good quality and comes in great colors

  • I love girlfriend collective! I have mostly worn their leggings and they are really comfortable, stay up when working out and have a nice snug fit. I also love their mission and that when you are done with your items you can send them in for them to repurpose and get a discount for another pair!
