Girlfriend Collective earns largely positive reviews for durable, size‑inclusive activewear with rich colors, supportive Paloma and Tommy bras, and long‑lasting OG/compressive leggings; many say the brand is good and pieces hold up for years. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent sizing, leggings that can run thick, slide down, or pill/lose shape over time, variable quality across lines, and some styles lacking breathability or support.

Girlfriend Collective has been one of my go-to spots for athletic & athleisure wear for a while now. I own a variety of their leggings, bras, and other apparel. I have found the pieces I have to hold up well over time. Everything is comfortable and stays in place during workouts.
Feedback
They have very frequent sales so it's easy to purchase a piece you've had your eyes on at a discounted price.
I got the original $20 leggings and since then have bought sports bras and leggings. I liked the stuff but it’s not as comfortable as lululemon or skims.
Feedback
I like the idea of fabric being made out of recycled water bottles, but it’s just not very comfortable. I LOVE the size inclusivity. I’m just not sure if it’s worth it for me.

I know others have not always loved this brand but I own many pairs of their hi-rise compressive leggings in black. I size down and wear a Medium -- necessary because I do a lot of hi-impact exercise and don't want to keep hiking up leggings. I have also worn these black leggings on nights out. The compression helps for those nights when I feel a little more self conscious! I do not recommend their sweats. The cropped sweaters are awkward length -- and by awkward I mean too short. And there is shrinkage on the cropped sweat suit sweaters and sweat pants I have purchased. I got burned and kept coming back for more. I have since learned my lesson. I also have some of the bras and tanks. As a woman entering my thirties... *I must have the set.* They are forgettable. And by that I mean they work just fine. For support you would have to size down but then it gets pinchy -- so most of mine are true to size but I do nothing more but walk in them. The socks? Whats not to adore. So fun. But I always wait to buy them when they go on sale. There is never a reason to pay full price for any of these items btw. There is always a coupon code floating around on the internet. Just do your digging.

On principle I really love supporting a brand with inclusive sizing!
I love Girlfriend's activewear. I find it super comfortable and appreciate the sustainability efforts of the company. I also personally really love their socks and would highly recommend them - super comfortable and long lasting which is great.
Love the idea of this- sustainable, size inclusive, stylish, affordable. The reality is that the leggings and bra made me feel like I was wearing a plastic bag. Not breathable at all, and while sweating in Texas heat, this was just not it. For non-athletic activities that you won’t be sweating through, GC is great. But for athletic wear, hard pass.

If you plan to sweat in these items at all, look elsewhere. If you just want a cute outfit for running around on weekends, this brand is great.
I love Girlfriend collective and their mission but have had some issues with sizing and consistency. Most of the items I’ve bought I’ve had to return. The only items I’ve kept and have been able to make work are their sweatshirts and socks which I LOVE!

Really hope they can improve their sizing system and consistency across all collections and items!
I tested these very early in the girlfriend collective story, and they just aren't it for me. Though I love their mission and vision, I just didn't find the leggings to be very comfortable. Perhaps it was a sizing issue? But I ordered the same size I do in all other leggings/pants and didn't like where the waistband landed or how the compression hit. Seeing all the positive reviews has made me curious as to whether the company has changed the cut and style at all, though. I initially ordered a pair back in 2018ish?

I guess I was mostly surprised by just how differently these leggings fit and felt from others I have. Definitely a much thicker fabric and significantly more compression throughout. If you're a big-time active person, these might be a great option for you, but I found them a bit restrictive for lounging. The price point is also a little outside my comfort zone for a pair of leggings.

I absolutely love my leggings and bike shorts. The materials are all super comfortable and the variable lengths are good for my height (5'4"). I wish the skirt I had ordered had shorts the same material as the bike shorts. The shorts in that were looser and rolled up easily, so I chafed a lot wearing it and only wore it twice.
Feedback
You might need to size up from your usual size in tops and bras.
I have the high waisted bike shorts. Great colors and material, but runs a bit small.

Wife has been super into these since I got her a pair. She lives for the phone pocket!
As a curvy girlie, I have never found flattering, AND comfortable, AND cute (not covered in patterns and stitching) workout clothes. Girlfriend has surpassed any and all expectations in my book. On top of that that their evolving sustainability model is inspiring at an accessible price range. I don't know if I will ever wear other activewear again.
Cute clothing and colors at a great value! The tops are good quality and flattering. I bought mine secondhand, but I believe that the side seams of the leggings pill easily.

I got a pair of leggings when they were doing the promo where they were free and you only had to pay shipping. They are very thick, comfortable, and durable. I love the whole brand statement: ethically made from recycled products and inclusive models.
Feedback
The leggings did fall down a bit and require pulling up, however this is from pair purchased probably 3 or more years ago.

Great quality leggings with a solid brand mission. The leggings are very well made and maintained their shape after many workouts. Many other brands eventually end up ripping along the seams or sagging at the waistband but not these!
Honestly, the material is too stiff for my liking. I personally like when there is more stretch to my workout clothes so it's easier to get on but with Girlfriend Collective I'm always struggling to get my leggings on. However, I think the construction of the sports bra is amazing. I don't think this workout set I bought though was better than ones I can get elsewhere for less.

The material isn't that comfortable compared to other activewear brands
I love the Girlfriend Collective. I have a top, shorts and a robe that were all made out of recycled plastic bottles. I also love how inclusive the company is and their wade range of products.

I really love the brands mission and their inclusive active wear. I'm a repeat customer and have bought Girlfriend Collective multiple times in the past. Some of the items, like the Paloma Sports Bras are my go-to for Barre Class, runs, or even lounging around the house.
Feedback
Quality and sizing does not always seem consistent. Some items last years, while others have loose threads or pilling within a wear or two.

Their products have held up well, I've had a few pairs of leggings and 4 sports bras from them.

Not the best for bigger chests (and I'm only a C!), especially for the longline bras. I wear a medium and the band isn't quite tight enough but the chest is a bit too compressed. Some of the cuts aren't as flattering.
I recently received a sports bra from this brand as a gift. It fit perfect and true to size. The fabric feels really nice and it stays in place while working out. After checking out the website I would say this is the most inclusive activewear brand in the market. I love the mission.

I am a woman golfer, and finding skirts that are long enough but still flattering is one of the biggest struggles. I have tried many athletic dresses from other brands, but the girlfriend collective is truly a hole-in-one. The skirt is long enough to cover my butt when I lean over to pick up my golf ball, and the shorts underneath not only include pockets, but also include very effective grip so they don’t ride up my thighs when I walk. I also like the adjustable straps, and all the patterns are so fun!
