  • Inconsistent, confusing sizing
  • Thick, less breathable fabric
  • Leggings sliding or stretching

Girlfriend Collective earns largely positive reviews for durable, size‑inclusive activewear with rich colors, supportive Paloma and Tommy bras, and long‑lasting OG/compressive leggings; many say the brand is good and pieces hold up for years. Reviews also flag weaknesses: inconsistent sizing, leggings that can run thick, slide down, or pill/lose shape over time, variable quality across lines, and some styles lacking breathability or support.

  • 10/10 brand. I bought a set in 2020 that I wear pretty frequently. Hundreds of washes later, it still looks and feels new.

  • I don’t get the hype. Ended up returning the bra, leggings, and dress I ordered. I did like the underwear though. Quality is similar to what you can find on Amazon. I’ll stick with Athleta.

  • I have about 16 pairs of Girlfriend leggings, and a few other pieces. The quality, the stretch, the thickness of material for it not to be see-through, top-notch.

  • I remember when this brand first launched in 2016 and I got a lot of Instagram ads about it! Super cute and the marketing was great - lots of neutral tones and everyone loves a good matching set. The only thing I did not like so much about it is the material on certain products. I had one pair that was a bit thicker rather than elastic, and did not hold my curves well. Some of the other products I had were a bit too flimsy and did not hold my shape either. Overall, it is a cute brand, but I did wish I loved it more.

  • Girlfriend leggings are great choice. They don’t roll down. If you don’t like a serious compression hug, you might wanna avoid their compression leggings. Because they do hug.

  • Wearing them as I write this. I have 6-7 bottoms and 3 bras. It's my go-to athleisure brand.

  • I've worn the same pair of Girlfriend Collective leggings for over 5 years and they're still in amazing shape. I love the feel and versatility, and the inclusivity of their branding. I consistently go back for lasting staples for lounging, yoga, and the gym.

  • I love the sports bras. They are so soft and comfortable enough to wear all day. The exercise dress is very flattering but I wish the torso was a bit longer.

  • THE BEST SPORTS BRAS. I have a small chest and these are the only sports bras I own. They are super tight and thick and comfortable, I feel snug but not suffocated.

  • Great basic activewear for any type of physical activity! All their items have great compression but can run a little small as a result. My one negative is that they always seem to be out of stock of popular items in basic colors.

  • Love everything I've purchased, but wish they all ran a little more true to size. I had to size up in everything. Great quality though and they do hold up great with lots of washing. Very flattering as well.

  • One of my all time favorite sustainable clothing brands!! Bought one of their sets at a couple years ago and it is still a go to for workouts or my athleisure wear. Obsessed!

  • High Quality Leggings, great sustainable brand - love.

  • I had such a lack luster experience with Girlfriend Collective. Their sizing is all over the place, so if you like something and you want it in another color, you won't be able to trust that it'll fit the same way. At one point in time, I ordered leggings 3 different times in order to find the right fit. Then, when I ultimately decided to get a refund they ghosted me for months. Admittedly this was 2 years ago. However, I haven't been able to get past it and try again.

  • I! Love! These! Sets! They're a little pricey for me BUT the reasons for that priciness, the sustainable materials they use and the ethical construction, are WELL worth the cost. I've found that these sets hold up really well, are stretchy and comfortable and hold their size over many wears, and are functional for the activities I do in them (mostly hikes, skating, commuter biking, and vibes).

  • I'd be lying if I said Girlfriend Collective wasn't one of the brands I recommend most to friends and family. I love their transparent approach and focus on sustainability, especially with their new re-Girlfriend second hand shopping. The only thing I take a star off for is that every single thing is made with plastic-based materials - love the recycling, but petroleum-based skin tight materials are not great no matter how cool the colors are and how convenient and inclusive the sizing is.

  • Tried these first when they were just getting started, and you could get a pair of leggings for just the cost of shipping and handling. They’ve expanded their sizing and color options a lot since then, and added several product lines! They’ve got a good mission and good style choices. I wish they would have some cup size options for things like the bike unitard - i have a large chest and long torso, so those didn’t fit me well and are strictly for at-home workouts. Other than that, it’s a good product.
