I like the chili oils. It's good quality. I like the clean ingredients. It is spicy, but possibly less hot than other Asian spices. I like that there's a few flavors so it's not just spice heat, but also a taste of something fusiony.

Fly by Jing creates flavorful Sichuan spices and sauces to pair with frozen dumplings made from natural and fresh ingredients.

4.4
Fly by Jing delivers bold, versatile Sichuan-inspired condiments that, according to reviews, elevate everything from eggs and noodles to dumplings—Zhong Sauce and the OG Sichuan Chili Crisp draw repeated praise for layered umami, balanced heat, and everyday usability. Reviews also flag notable drawbacks: some find the chili crisp too oily, less crispy or milder than expected, with occasional smoky bitterness and jar leakage—plus comparisons to Lao Gan Ma or Momofuku on flavor and spice—and some mention inconsistent crunch and a need to stir.

I grabbed the Fly By Jing sweet & spicy chilli crunch on a whim at wholefoods and now I’m kind of obsessed. I’m not into super spicy stuff, so this is perfect — just enough heat but heaps of flavour. I’ve been adding it to everything and it somehow makes even the laziest meals taste great.

I've tried many of Fly by Jing's sauces... and I have her cookbook. While pricey, I love the complex flavors of everything Fly by Jing makes. I especially love the packages of Tribute peppers they sell. SO many sichuan peppercorns you get at the store are almost cardboard... or they only have a tiny bit of that numbing sensation that is so incredible in Sichuan food. The Fly by Jing peppers are the only ones I've bought since discovering them. (And you don't need to use as many in a recipe to get a powerful numbing result!!)

I got this forever ago on Thingtesting and it took me a while to get to it as I was using other sauces I had on hand. But to be honest - everyone ranted and raved about this one and I have to say I dont really get it. I find the original sauces from the Asian market to be more flavorful and have more heat to them. I don't think I'd repurchase this. The packaging is amazing - love it - but i can't say this product is the best for me.
