Reviews mention

  • Aesthetic, photogenic packaging
  • Innovative, caffeine-free formulations
  • Pleasant, comforting aromas
  • Distinct, seasonal flavor options
  • Chalky, gritty texture
  • Weak, inconsistent flavor
  • Poor powder dissolution
  • Overstated wellness claims

Blume earns mixed reviews: fans say the drinks taste enjoyable (notably Strawberry Hibiscus, Pumpkin Spice, and Reishi Hot Cocoa) and can support hydration or a soothing, caffeine‑free ritual, but many report weak flavor, chalky texture, and poor dissolution. Reviews of Blume also flag overblown wellness claims and inconsistent blend quality, so buy for the aesthetics and occasional standout flavors rather than reliable function.

  • I’ve tried several items from this brand, including the super belly and one of their mushroom coffees. I really like the packaging and the overall flavor as other reviewers have mentioned some of them don’t blend very well, but that doesn’t bother me that much although it looks terrible when it’s in a glass, I will continue to purchase these brands though. I think the flavors are really great and different from other products on the market the price is definitely a bit high for me.

  • cute, woman founded brand. comparing to other brands in it’s category, I found it pretty tasty, however, I didn’t quite like it. I don’t feel like there are real ingredients in there because the taste is a bit off. the packaging is SUPER COOL and i often get tempted to buy another pack to try lol

  • I was excited to try the Matcha Coconut from this brand, but it didn't really do it for me. I can't really say I felt any sort of energy boost from this. This also had such an awful chalky texture compared to other mix-ins I've had. It didn't mix in well in both plant milk or water. It left such an awful mess in the cup each time. The taste for this wasn't anything special either. I'm going to have to pass on this one.

  • I found that Blume makes super innovative products I can really get behind, especially as someone trying to cut back on coffee as my caffeine source. Taste on its own is okay, I like to add flavored syrups.

  • I was able to try this product for free through a rebate website. I have been looking for a coffee alternative as I am sensitive to caffeine. I love that it is sugar free and made with mushrooms. I did not enjoy the flavor as much as I wished. It did blend nicely though.

  • I was really excited to stumble across this brand at Erewhon. Unfortunately I think they’re just not for me, the powder doesn’t dissolve and there’s no clear instructions or support in helping to make it a delicious experience. I gave it to my sister.

  • Yum! I identify as a true tea drinker but I love to try out different drinks every once in a while. I tried Blume recently and I like it! It’s a bonus that Blume is local to me in Vancouver BC. I like that I can add the powder to milk and froth the two together in my milk frother. The fact that it is caffeine free is great for a little evening treat. The seasonal options always sounds fun and bring be back to try the different blends.

  • I have only tried three blends from Blume: Rose London Fog Blend, Blue Lavender Blend, and Pumpkin Spice Blend. My favorite was the Pumpkin Spice Blend, it mixed well with water or almond milk and had a yummy taste. The Rose London Fog Blend tasted best when I added it to a smoothie. The Blue Lavender Blend does not like to mix well and doesn't have much of a taste. I appreciate that they use natural and organic ingredients in their blends. I intend to try more of their blends in the future (got my eye on the Mint Cocoa Blend).

  • Their blue lavender blend was a nice caffeine-free alternative that pairs well with oat milk and dairy-free alternatives. My favourite thing about this brand is that they offer alternatives for people who have gluten and dairy allergies.

There was a slight chalky taste (along with the lavender flavour).

  • I have been enjoying a latte every evening for the last week. I have found that the powder doesn’t dissolve completely but is better if you stir it into the milk. Love the scent as it brews and just puts me into that relax mode. Have tried rose London fog, oat milk chai, birthday cake so far. Birthday cake dissolved the best but I enjoyed them all. Not sure about the science but I will say this almost 49 year old drove her husband crazy on the weekend skipping around the parking lot on our errands. Felt little bursts of energy I haven’t felt in a long time. Coincidence? Only time will tell.

  • I got my first Blume product (the cacao turmeric blend) as a gift from work and really loved it. I loved the taste and packaging so I decided to order more to try other flavours. I ordered (lavender, cacao reishi, beet root and cacao turmeric blend). Disappointed that I did not receive the cacao turmeric blend in my original order and they shipped it separately. Also, I am a little disappointed with the other flavours as honestly there is very little taste when I blend with oat milk with their suggested recipe (1 tsp). To really taste things I need to add more like a 1 tbsp. I like their packaging but find their products expensive for what you get.

Brand has a lot of potential. Logistics need to be improved. Recipe suggests 1 tsp but I feel no taste when blended with milk with that amount. Blue lavander mix is hard to mix and not as blue as in the marketing ads. Also, it seems the powder is not blended well, I could see chunks of white stuff. Cacao turmeric is my favorite blend and do find it better than other brands for turmeric lattes. Not sure it’s work the price for all the blends but worth it for some.

  • Blume is definitely something you buy for the aesthetic of the product. They make some pretty big claims and maybe they will work for you, but I didn't see anything that really made me think these products worked well. Regardless, they are delicious and mix well into smoothies and other fun drinks.

I wish the marketing was a little more realistic. The claims are major and they try to sell the idea of feeling so amazing and being so healthy, they're just not to that point though.

  • Customer experience is great, I love their branding and shipping was really fast. I've tried most of the blends and I love them all but my 2 favourite so ar are the london fog and salted caramel. I love being able to have an afternoon latte (without the caffeine). The ingredients are clean and packed with superfood magic! Would def recommend this brand.

  • I kept seeing their ads on Instagram and figured I’d give it a try. I tried a few different drinks but overall it just tasted like powder added to milk. Mainly left me with a chalky taste

The packaging is super pretty and it’s very aesthetically pleasing. They make a lot of health claims that I don’t really know if they’re accurate.

  • Love these drinks and have incorporated them into my everyday routine. The Reishi hot cocoa goes into my coffee for a morning mocha and the lavender one i make for my kids for their "blue milk". Love, love, love everything about this brand.

    Bring back the minis!

  • I tried 3 products: Blue Lavender, Turmeric Cacao, and the new Adaptogenic Milk blend. The idea behind all of them is great, but the actual product fell short for me. The tea blends I tried were ok, but seem optimized for IG-friendly colourful photos more than flavour. When blended with milk as suggested, all I taste is the milk.

I discovered after purchasing that the mushroom "extract" in their products isn't actually an extract, it's ground mushrooms (mycelia + fruiting bodies). Not terrible but also not the best quality as far as mushroom supplements go.

  • I tried their reishi hot coco. I was happy to see it on the shelves of my local Superstore because I know Blume is a new Canadian brand, which is part of why I looked past the higher point. LaterI rationalized this because it's still much cheaper than a hot coco from a cafe. I love the packaging—the little box and sachets are perfect to bring to work. though I'm not sure if they're recyclable. I find this product really needs added sugar. It's great that you can choose how sweet and what you want to sweeten it with. The flavour is really complex and more elevated than I was expecting. Though no matter how much I stir, I can't seem to avoid a bit of a grainy build up at the bottom of the mug. Maybe using an electric frother is best for these. I'm looking forward to trying more flavours!

  • I really wanted to love this, and granted I haven’t tried all flavours to make a fair assessment; but I have tried 4. I found the Chai overpowered with spice, a little hard to digest and a bit chalky. The Coconut Matcha so far is my favorite m, it’s very mild and easily adjustable. The Salted Caramel, again I wanted to love, but it was a bit weak. Maybe I should’ve added espresso and hot foam to give it what it really needs. But as a quick caffeine free pick me up, it was just okay. At lease the packaging is aesthetically pleasing!

  • I love that this powder can be added to lattes to make they beautiful, but aside from making fun looking drinks, I didn't really notice any of the health benefits they advertise. I ended up using it just a few times and still have a half used bag sitting in my cupboard.

Would appreciate more science and less hype.
