  • Luxurious scents and sensory experience
  • Salon-level smoothing performance

  • Versatile, extensive product assortment
  • Inconsistent results across product lines
  • Heavy formulas weigh down hair
  • Stripping shampoos for some users

Davines delivers salon-level results, according to reviews, with standouts like OI All in One Milk, NOUNOU mask, LOVE and MINU shampoos/conditioners leaving hair softer, shinier, and more manageable, and scents that range from fresh-clean to warm vanilla. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some lines feel heavy or stripping on fine hair, rebalancing and scalp control products underperform, packaging (tubs, pumps, leaky nozzles) frustrates, and a few users report irritation or disliking certain scents.

  • smells amazing and this whole line helps smooth frizz and keep hair healthy. the oil is a bit more of a cream than expected, but my fine hair reacts well to it without feeling weighed down. would highly recommend!

  • LOVE this brand and the styling products in particular are fantastic! The scent is so good and smells like warm vanilla. The hairspray and shine mist are my favorite and go-to styling products whenever I do a blowout.

  • I am glad I found Davines when at my local salon for the first time - I have switched to using their conditioner and OI All in One Milk and both have been great for my hair. Clean products that work well and smell wonderful.

  • I keep coming back to Davines over the years, wondering why I ever leave. When you find something that works, stick with it. This is a Volume Boosting Mousse is the perfect product for my wavy hair. Gives it a boost and a nice finish. I’m always going to have this on hand. The Oi conditioner works just fine. I bought it to try because it’s a favorite of everyone else, but I really love the Melu conditioner for leaving my dry hair with the perfect finish. The packaging of almost all their products is so beautiful. Davines makes high quality hair care that lasts far beyond trends.

  • My hair salon exclusively uses Davines, and I’ve always loved how my hair smells and feels after every appointment. I just never actually bought the products myself until they popped up on Thingdrop, and now I get the hype. This is the same soft, healthy, just left the salon feeling but at home. My stylist uses the Momo line on me, and it’s perfect for my dry, dehydrated hair. The shampoo has a lightweight gel texture that lathers nicely and leaves my hair feeling clean but not stripped. The conditioner is also lightweight but still super super moisturizing. It detangles easily and leaves my hair soft, smooth, and silky without feeling heavy. The scent is honestly one of my favorite parts. It smells fresh and clean with a little warmth, and it actually lingers in my hair which I love. While this line doesn’t really help reduce oil for me since my hair gets oily quickly, my hair itself always feels really healthy and hydrated. I also recently realized I have wavy hair, and this line helps define my waves without weighing them down. My ONLY complaint is I don’t like the packaging for the conditioner (it’s a gigantic tub) and I wish this shampoo line came in a refill. I’ll definitely keep repurchasing these and am excited to try more Davines treatments next.

  • I recently got to try davines when I got my hair done at the salon and fell in love. I just bought a few products to try and am super happy with the quality. The ingredients are clean and it leaves my hair looking and feeling incredible.

  • Honestly, I was kind of hoping to not love this brand as much as I do because it’s so pricey. I’m still working my way through the products, but I think the love curl shampoo and smoothing conditioner are my favorites shampoo and conditioner that I’ve tried. My hair so soft and the curl looks so nice after use; the smell is lovely as well! I typically need to use a ton of conditioner when I wash my hair so I was worried I’d go through the tub in just a few washes, but it’s so thick that it will hopefully last me a few weeks. The hand balm feels really nice and does a great job at moisturizing my hands without feeling sticky; although I’m not a huge fan of the scent on my hands (I don’t mind it in the hair products), I’ll still finish the tube.

  • I have past shoulder-length 3a-3c curls depending on humidity, hair health, and hair length. I live in California where there is a lot of sun, surf frequently, recently highlighted my hair, use hair products for my curls, and frequently-ish blowout my hair using a dyson airwrap. I had started noticing that my curls were starting to completely go away, and were looking super frizzy, puffy, and not even like curls. I went on a journey of using chatgpt and old photos of my curls to research the best option, and Davine's came out as the best option for my curls overall. While I can't afford right now having my entire hair lineup Davine's, I narrowed it down to the most beneficial products for my hairtype and lifestyle - their clarifying shampoo and their nounou hair mask. I don't think I realized how much buildup I had in my hair, and how using a moisturizing conditioner alone and a scalp oil wasn't cutting it. I'm using the Davine's clarifying wash 1x per week, and the nounou hair mask immediately after to replenish my hair once clarified. My hair has been slightly puffy (which is to be expected after switching according to chatgpt). but immediately, I've seen my hair pattern START to come back. Over christmas, my fam was saying how my hair looks "like a model". I added a photo of my hair right now, and I wish I had a before photo - this is las vegas which is where I was for Christmas and Vegas is SO dry and I slept on my hair before this, so it's actually quite impressive. Also, davine gave me lots of samples, so I get to try out the items I would add to my routine if I choose to add more in, depending on my budget. I'm really excited about this brand and to see my hair pattern continue to improve

  • This shampoo smells so yummy and works really well in tangent with hairstory.. I use the authentic cleansing nectar in between for a more intensive cleansing wash. Gets any greasy feeling out with making your hair dry. Love!

  • The Davines MINU shampoo and conditioner have been such a treat to use. They leave my hair feeling incredibly soft, hydrated, and smooth without weighing it down. I love how gentle the formula is, and how it keeps my hair looking vibrant and healthy. The scent is fresh and elegant, and the texture of both the shampoo and conditioner feels luxurious. My hair is easier to manage, has more shine, and just looks better overall since switching to MINU. It really feels like salon care at home.

  • Davines is one of those IYKYK brands that is just that good! Smells amazing and works even better. I’m a huge fan and got my husband hooked on their hair waxes. If you can get past their almost cryptic names (nounou, Dede, etc) and the pretty premium price point, you’re in for a great time. The first time I tried it was at a hair salon and chalked how good my hair looked to it being professionally cut and blown out but after I tried it at a hotel, I knew it wasn’t just the professional. Knocking a star for packaging…for products that are meant to be used when you’re in the shower, hands are wet, they’re just not in the best components. Their shipping was also a bit all over the place and I did expect a slightly more premium packaging, but if their products aren’t well packaged, why would their packages be? Overall, don’t sleep on davines

  • Obsessed with Davines, and this product is no different! This is my absolute go to dry shampoo! It works greats, and, bonus, it smells AMAZING! It is expensive. If you are the fence, buy it, you will NOT regret that decision.

  • Works great on both mine and my boyfriends hair which are two different textures. It leaves both of us with no frizz and with noticeably softer hair. Definitely a product we will keep repurchasing for both of us.

  • love this multifunctional leave-in treatment by. The Oi All in One Milk is good for all hair types. You apply 10-15 sprays to the lengths and ends of your hair while it is wet. The result is shinier, softer, less frizzy hair. It provides thermal protection up to 446 degrees too! It has a pleasant non overbearing scent to it. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to try the Davines Oi All In One Hair Milk for Softness and Shine, as it has become a new holy grail item of mine. I would highly recommend this product!

  • I’ve only used the momo shampoo and conditioner, but I love them. My hairstylist recommended them because I have fine hair that can be weighed down by a lot of products. The shampoo almost makes my hair feel dry after I use it and the conditioner comes back in and adds the right amount of moisture. I’m curious to try more from the line.

  • I've tried different products from Davines before I found the ones that work for me. I don't buy them often as I don't find the effects to be great (for that price, I'd love to have a wow effect). However, the OI hair milk is something that I repurchase every time. It makes my hair shiny, lightweight, and it smells delicious!

  • I keep going back to the Davine's curly hair line. I have very thin hair with loose curls, so anything overly moisturizing weighs down my hair and turns my curls into waves. The scent is great, which is saying something considering every other product I use is fragrance free.

  • Davines is my holy grail hair line. My hair salon uses them and that’s how I started out with the brand! I use their clarifying shampoo, curl cream, smoothing cream, and my favorite product - the salt spray. Everything is pretty lightly scented, which is key for me (I get migraines triggered by strong scents). It seems like so many hair brands have insanely strong scented products. Love their commitment to sustainability. I’m also super pleased to see that they’re available on Sephora’s website now too.

  • Most garbage I’ve ever spent an arm and a leg on, they claim to be made with great quality, but then you see chemicals that are banned in EU, in their products that cause cancer and other harm to your body. The worst chemicals they use are DYES! Like Yellow 5 and Red 4! What a disgrace. Italy doesn’t allow this in their products so why is it in yours? lol never buying this crap again!!!

  • Expensive, but pretty good. Davines is shilled at almost every salon I go to for a reason, but I've found that a lot of these hair salons end up giving me the wrong type of product for my hair. A lot of Davines products are thick and gooey, and too heavy for my hair. I also don't like the packaging in the tubs (for conditioners) and wish they came in bottles. I probably wouldn't try Davines again unless they had an affordable miracle product, but if you want luxury Italian haircare that is sustainable, go for it.
