Reviews mention

  • Effective scalp-exfoliating shampoo
  • Rich, nourishing conditioning mask
  • Pleasant, refreshing fragrances
  • Clean, naturally derived formulas
  • Inconsistent frizz-taming performance
  • Overpowering rose scent options
  • Awkward tub and nozzle packaging
  • Watery, thin shampoo texture

Briogeo earns strong reviews for effective scalp-care and deep-conditioning—Scalp Revival charcoal scrub and Don’t Despair, Repair! mask frequently leave hair cleaner, softer, and more manageable—yet the brand is inconsistent for frizz control and some formulas feel thin or drying. Reviews also note polarizing scents (from subtle to overpowering rose), tricky tub packaging and sprayer nozzles, and reports of recent formula changes and occasional irritation.

  • did they change their formulas???? I used to love, love, love the despair repair hair mask. My dry, bleached hair would feel so healthy, sleek, and shiny after using. But lately I keep having to return their products when I purchase them from Sephora because they are not doing anything but weighing down my hair. I also used to use their exfoliating shampoo and it was good, but I then replaced it with the Ouai detox shampoo. I also have used the anti-frizz conditioning milk spray. It is not worth the price tag. It combats frizz but like not enough. It also is not a heat protectant which many other competing products are. I have found that the Color Wow spray, amika detangled, Redken leave-in, and it's a 10 work better for anti frizz with a heat protectant. If you want just a thick, hydrating mask-like leave in conditioner I recommend the ceremonial one over the Briogeo ones

  • I purchased the Cooling Hydration Scalp Mask and it has helped my scalp and hair health so much. The product smells really good and is a great detox. I use it once a week. I've noticed my scalp buildup is reduced a lot as well.

  • If the replenishing shampoo + conditioner duo has a million fans, then I am one of them. If the replenishing shampoo + conditioner duo has ten fans, then I am one of them. If the replenishing shampoo + conditioner duo has only one fan then that is me. If the replenishing shampoo + conditioner duo has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against the replenishing shampoo + conditioner duo, then I am against the world.

  • I'm a huge fan of their charcoal dry shampoo and here's why! 1. No aerosols 2. Works so well! 3. Doesn't trigger my migraines 4. It contains ingredients to serve your hair and scalp besides just being an oil-absorber (or worse, a scalp irritant!) Everyone complains about the dispenser, but it works great to just pour a little in your palm and apply throughout your hair. These ingredients are truly unique for dry shampoo formulas: Sodium Hyaluronate, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract, Biotin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Charcoal Powder I just feel like if I'm using a leave-in product directly on my scalp, it's so much better to use something that promotes hydration and healthy scalp/hair.

  • This stuff is pure gold. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but it really is worth every penny for the way your hair feels after using it. I'm a big fan of the scalp revival and curl charisma line. My hair can resemble Hermoine at times and this stuff keeps it frizz-free and happy. Highly highly recommend if you are on the fence about it.

  • I absolutely don’t understand the hype around this brand. And I don’t understand the prices… I tried so many things, I had high hopes for their scalp product, but it WAS NOT CLEAN at all and irritated my scalp. Very harsh formulas

  • Nice products that feel luxe, smell great and come in a variety of sizes, which I appreciate.

  • I have tried a handful of products from Briogeo and have loved all of them! They’re a little pricy for hair products in my opinion, but then again they work great! The “Don’t Despair, Repair!” deep conditioning mask is my absolute favorite!

  • Their scalp revival shampoo is strong stuff but it really works.

  • Their haircare products are natural and amazing at cleaning and have a nice clean smell to them too. I often will rotate their line into my current wash routine and find it is really good at deep cleaning at my roots. I have very thick and wavy hair naturally so their scalp revival mask as well as the don't despair, repair line are so great at cleaning my hair.

  • Charcoal shampoo is great for dry, wavy hair. It’s also a really good clarifying shampoo. The container makes it a bit difficult to use but overall great product.

  • I’m not sure I get the hype with this brand, maybe it’s just the products I tired, the Briogeo Revive & Repair. The conditioner was way too watery for my preferences and the shampoo was nothing special. My main issue was how the conditioner didn’t seem to do anything, my hair felt more or less the same before and after putting it on.

  • I use the Farewell Frizz line - love the shampoo and conditioner and have noticed my hair is more calm, especially in the Miami humidity. The farewell frizz milk leave in conditioner is also great.

  • I've tried the Don't Despair line in full, and eh, it honestly made my hair dryer but it smelled nice.

  • The scalp revival exfoliating shampoo entered my life in 2019 and had not left ever since. I hate that it’s a pricey shampoo but I can never seem to find a different alternative for it because it works! The minty sensation also is so soothing to my scalp and leaves it feeling so clean afterward. If you have dandruff, please give this a shot.

  • I used the Dont Despair Repair Conditioner. It is great if you need a lot of protein.

  • I swear by their charcoal detox scalp scrub / shampoo. It straight up resurrected my scalp from the dead and eliminated all the itchiness. Use it once a week to remove build-up and my hair always feels more refreshed and alive after, like my scalp just got a facial.

  • The "don't despair, repair mask" has gotten me through some tough hair times. With consistent use, you really see improvement in hair managability and softness. I also really enjoy the charcoal shampoo/scalp scrub.
