Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I’m obsessed with banza pasta! It makes it so easy to get my protein in and. I think it’s delicious.

    Nothing. You’re amazing.

  • I love it. I’m always craving pasta but I also have to keep my protein up all the time to build muscle and Banza is great on allowing me to eat some pasta while keeping my protein up. It does take a little longer to cook since it’s more dense but it tastes exactly the same as regular pasta.

  • Yum! When you are grain free and gluten free you MISS pizza. This is a delicious alternative. Is it NYC pizza - no but it is delicious and convenient and my whole family enjoys it.

  • Obsessed! Such a good alternative to regular flour. When I was on a strict elimination diet, Banza was my go to. From pizza to mac n cheese to pasta, everything was amazing!

I would love for them to roll out more variations of foods and offer some lower carb options.

  • Every product from Banza that I have tried, I have loved. Not only amazing gluten free alternatives, but the nutrients and protein it provides compared to regular pasta/pizza/etc. is amazing.

  • better than any other pasta alternatives ive tried like brown rice etc. we love swapping this in for traditional for a healthy option.

more flavors? like infused with other vegetables?

  • I was very impressed with the texture of Banza. Will it trick me into thinking I'm eating regular pasta? No. The flavor is not there. But the pasta holds up to sauce and I was impressed by that. It isn't mushy.

Flavor. Flavor. Flavor. It really just wasn't there for me. A bit too stale.

  • I buy this brand when my gluten free friend comes over. I think the texture is much closer to “real” pasta and the taste is definitely acceptable in comparison too.

  • I know some people have said that their pasta tastes weird or different than “normal” pasta, but I like the taste! I don’t find anything wrong with it, enjoy it, and wouod buy it again

  • OH MY GOD! The pasta is sooo good. You definitely taste the chickpeas but in a good way. The mac and cheese is wonderful and worth buying!

    Nothing! It's perfect

  • I think it’s pretty good for not being actual pasta

    Feedback

Maybe more flavour or try to get the texture close to actual noodles

  • Love the chickpea pasta. Tastes better than most pasta alternatives

    Feedback

Nutrition facts are identical to traditional pasta. Defeats part of the reason to buy chickpea pasta

  • My FAV pasta is Banza chickpea pasta. Perfect texture and tastes like regular pasta.

  • Love the pasta. I was trying out GF for a while and Banza pasta made it work. While it was good warm - my favorite was to cool the pasta and turn it into a pasta salad. All the joy of my favorite salad with extra protein! Win-win.

  • I love the Banza pasta, but have not seen the pizza yet! Can't wait to try...

  • Tried pasta from Banza and it surprised me how close in texture it was to regular pasta. As an athlete, I try and find ways to increase protein intake and Banza is a great way.

I'd love to see more pasta shapes

  • Not a huge fan of the taste. I think there are a lot of other options that taste closer to pasta, but this definitely is a good healthier option.
