Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

The pasta is my absolute favorite! Cannot tell the difference between this and regular pasta. 10/10 my favorite macro-friendly grocery item :)

good products really can't taste the difference in most of their product
I wasn't a fan of the taste or texture.

I prefer the barilla protein plus for a healthier pasta.
I love banza. I love the creators and the story behind the brand.

Sometimes I find the pasta is a bit hard to digest, and might be a little more caloric than one would hope for a pasta substitute.
We enjoy the mac & cheese + pizza crusts - we find the plain pastas to have inconsistent texture across varieties (ziti to elbows, for instance).
Feedback
The mac & cheese is like Velveeta, but guilt-free!
I like Banza as a pasta alternative. I have not tried their Mac & Cheese yet, but I have made my own using their chickpea pasta. I don't think there is a huge difference in taste or texture, especially if you have a sauce or marinara.
Protein + carbs = love forever. Why go for regular boring carbs when you can choose protein pasta and pizza? Sure the flavor is slightly different from regular wheat products, but it's not different enough to stay away from. Did I mention protein? It's a great source for us non-meat eaters.

Only had one negative experience with crumbly pasta from the box. Other than that, I've loved the product and the brand experience.

Banza is a great brand if you are looking for substitutions on high carb product like pasta and pizza. It also is high in protein which is great for bulking up or loosing weight.
Banza is my go-to for a pasta alternative! I love chickpeas, so it’s perfect for my palate. I also love that the pasta holds up when you cook it, and doesn’t become too soggy or lose shape. I honestly can’t tell the difference most times between normal pasta.

It can be pricier than normal pasta options, and I don’t always buy it full price. It is on sale often and I’ll stock up then!
I try really hard to fit nutrition into my toddler and I's diet and Banza helps a lot with that. We love the pasta, Mac n cheese, and pizza - the pizza is a household fav. I honestly like the crust more than I like a "normal" crust, and the options work alone or as a fun base!

We love the pasta in our house, it's more filling but feels healthier when eating!

I love Banza pasta, especially their Mac and cheese! Delicious and love the nutrition facts.
I love the bold branding and brand philosophy, but I think that the only differentiation from other Chikpeas products, I was expecting something more revolutionary flavor-wise, so I was a little disappointed still a very practical and cute product.
As a carb lover, having this alternative to pasta is a DREAM!! Great flavor and more filling than the traditional pasta. The penne is my go to when I don’t want to cook or go to the grocery store.

UM EXCUSE ME?! I was not expecting "chickpea" pasta to taste so great! A vegetarian alfredo dish was created with the pasta I bought and it was delicious. The extra protein is such a bonus too!

I'd recommend this to anyone but especially my fellow vegetarians and vegans if you're looking for a way to incorporate more protein and nutrients in your diet.
One of the standout features of Banza is its nutritional benefits. Because it is made from chickpeas, Banza pizza is high in protein and fiber, making it a great option for those looking to increase their protein intake or maintain a healthy diet. It is also gluten-free, making it a great option for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease. In terms of taste and texture, Banza is generally well-received by customers. It has a slightly nutty flavor and a firmer texture than traditional wheat-based pizza. Banza offers a range of pasta shapes, including spaghetti, penne, and rotini, as well as mac and cheese and other pre-made meals. The brand also offers a variety of pasta sauces and seasoning blends to pair with its pasta. Overall, Banza is a great option for those looking for a healthier alternative to traditional pasta. Its high protein and fiber content, as well as its gluten-free status, make it a great choice for those with dietary restrictions or health goals. While its taste and texture may be slightly different from traditional pasta, many customers enjoy its unique flavor and texture.
Banza is such a great idea. Pasta made with protein! My kids loved this stuff when they were little but as they got older they fell out of love with the taste. If they would still eat it, I'd buy it all the time.

I’ve had both the Banza rotini and penne noodles. It’s not too bad for being gluten free, but I think the texture is a bit weird. I don’t love it, and find that I prefer other gluten free pastas with different veggies or with rice. You might really like it, though. So I would say it’s worth trying once to see how you feel about it.

So I had a split experience, I had the pasta and the pizza, the pasta was a bit tough to swallow, literally, but it was definitely high quality texture that I was happy with, the chickpea base was much more palatable. would definitely try again.
I love the protein pasta noodles. Helps me stay healthy while also eating my favorite foods
