Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • I really want to like this brand but, calorie-wise, it doesn't feel like a worthwhile investment, as it's so much more expensive than regular pasta. I also feel like my sensitive gut is aggravated every time I eat it since it's made of beans.

    Feedback

Price seems high, don't recommend it to others unless they must eat gluten-free.

  • Good pasta alternative. Fills me up. Thic tho. This is in reference to the pasta only.

  • I LOVE BANZA. I love the noodles. I love the pizza. I will eat everything they make.

Make more things please. Also vegan pizza could be cool?

  • Yum! Healthy, delicious, a true game changer in the pasta industry - and this is coming from a true Italian!

Value of course, but you are paying for great quality.

  • Filling, healthy, and easy to prepare. A good alternative to pasta!

  • Really enjoyed the pasta. It is a great gluten free option and tastes very close to the real thing.

  • I love Banza. I have only tried their pasta but love it as a great alternative. It feels very light when eaten and doesn't feel like it just sitting in the stomach. It also doesn't taste sticky like other pasta. The packaging is super fun and modern.

    Feedback

It does have a bit of a grainy taste to it but very sublte.

  • Their pasta is alright - I was really excited to get a high protein pasta option but I am not a fan of the taste and texture. The best way to make this is with a flavorful sauce to mask the actual taste of the pasta.

  • I really like their max and cheese and their pasta is also good—doesn’t taste just like pasta but still good!

  • In the world of gluten-free alternatives, I find the Banza products to be consistently good options. Like most GF products, the textures is not that of true gluten but is pleasantly chewy.

  • Love my Banza products, and especially love that they make things for us GF/V folks. The new gluten-free vegan pizza is so yummy and it's so nice having an option that can be ready so quickly. I initially tried and loved the pastas, but I've stuck around for all the other yumminess they've created!

  • So good! My partner is gluten free, but my favorite foods are CHEESE + PASTA. This Mac and cheese is delicious and the branding is so fun!

  • Banza is amazing. I’ve been making the pastas for a while now - they taste great and fill you up. Looking forward to trying their other products.

  • I love Banza. The pizzas and pastas are super easy and more filling than traditional pizza and pasta because of the protein. The branding is fun!

  • Took me a few tries to get the pasta right (and I'd say I'm pretty solid in the kitchen). I've learned that timing and rinsing is key to preventing it from turning to mush. I love that it's a higher protein content than traditional pasta. I've heard good things about the pizza shells, they're on my list.

  • As someone who absolutely loves all types of pasta dishes, Banza is my go to. It's a great substitute for pasta made with flour and wheat. I can barely taste the difference, and and Banza is way healthier!

  • I think I may just not be the right audience, but I find that it really is not a replacement for regular pasta. But for non-grain pasta, it is decent. the macaroni and cheese flavor is good as well, but not the best out there.

  • while i think banza tastes great, i wish they had clean ingredients. i really dont love the filler ingredients that they use and i find that it makes me and my friends bloated instantly. if i eat it two days in a row i will be extremely uncomfortable. i eat chickpea pasta from other brands and have a healthy gluten free vegan diet. i guess its just the gums and fillers that don’t sit right with me.

  • Banza’s chickpea pasta is a game-changer for anyone seeking a healthier, higher-protein noodle. Made from chickpeas, it packs twice the protein and four times the fiber of traditional pasta, with a similar taste and texture.

  • I like the pasta, while it is unforgiving to overcooking. It has a good flavor and consistency. I have trouble with the pizza crust, I don't think it has a fantastic consistency and made me miss flour-based pizza crust. I'm giving 4/5 stars because some products are fantastic while others are meh.
