Reviews mention

  • Protein-rich pasta alternative
  • Surprisingly authentic texture
  • Flavorful frozen pizzas
  • Kid-approved crowdpleasers
  • Inconsistent noodle integrity
  • Sticky, mushy overcooking risk
  • Noticeable chickpea aftertaste
  • Clumpy long-cut spaghetti

Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

  • As a gluten free girly who needs her protein, and someone who looks for quality ingredients, I eat this multiple times a week! Took me a little bit to get used to the texture but my pantry is always stocked with Banza! My fav is pasta salad. Yum!

  • Will stand with this brand for life! Great variety of products, the macros are amazing & everything I’ve tried so far, tastes great. Make sure to stir noodles consistently to keep them from sticking together & you’ll need to rinse the film before adding sauce, etc. but no complaints! The pizza is bomb, add some chicken or turkey bacon on top and voila, the best supreme pizza!

  • Absolutely cannot tell that this is made from chickpeas! They’re my top pasta choice whenever I go to the store! Definitely give them a shot

  • Easy cooking directions. Bland flavor when eaten on its own, but I always use it with a sauce. Great way to add in extra protein for pasta meals.

  • AMAAZING! For anyone vegan or vegetarian, it is an excellent way to add more protein to your diet without sacrificing taste or quality. They have a slightly different texture, but their nutritional content definitely makes it worth it.

  • Love it! We live a gluten-free lifestyle so this helps us enjoy pasta without gluten. The extra protein is a perk because it fits in with out fitness goals.

  • Banza's chickpea mac and cheese is my go-to for quick, lazy dinners. It is super filling with low caloric density and lots of protein. For a mac and cheese lover as myself, this is the compromise to being able to eat it more often without being totally unhealthy! The texture/flavor is definitely different than regular mac and cheese (to be expected), but it is still hits the spot. If you cook too long the pasta kinda desintegrates which is not great, just have to watch it. Regardless, I recommend Banza and eat it often. But, if you are picky with flavors, Goodles is another brand that tastes a bit better.

  • This pasta is my favorite, I've tried so many different pasta brands and i always go back to this brand, i like that this doesn't get slimy or soggy after you cook it. And it doesnt have weird taste or bitterness unlike any other brand that i tried.

  • BIG PASTA GIRLIE HERE. I primarily eat veggie and have a hard time getting protein in sometimes. I literally can’t tell the difference between this and other boxed pasta. It’s just a really easy way to get some extra protein in!

  • I tried first time gluten free pasta and loved it. Banza pasta cooked soft and was delicious. Such an easy way to get more vegetarian protein in your diet. I felt light after eating Banza pasta. This is so good that I added in my winter soups also. My family loves it too the texture and taste. I usually buy big box from costco. But I wish they introduce colourful pasta products.

  • This review is for the rotini and penne pastas. I find it to be tasty with a pleasant texture. I do love chick peas so maybe that is a factor. Only slightly different than wheat pasta, maybe a bit heartier, less doughy. I don't get an urge for pasta often, but occasionally I'll make a nice dish out of a box of this. Reasonably-priced too, as far as specialty products go. My favorite dish using the chick pea pasta is really simple. Prepare the box of pasta. While that is cooking, saute some onions, garlic, and broccoli then combine that with whatever pasta sauce you like. Dump in a can of tuna and toss it gently. Heat it all up and stir in some ricotta cheese. Topped with shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan. Easy and delicious and very customizable. Switch out the pasta shapes, the sauces, the vegetables, the meat, etc. and create different versions that you love.

  • I love Banza! I healthy pasta option with a unique twist and a burst of protein!

I have nothing but love for this brand! The texture and cooking may throw some people off, but I loved it!

  • I love banza pasta although I never eat it plain with butter and herbs, it always has to be in a baked dish or heavy sauce. That doesn’t bother me though, I like to pair it with a nice bolognese sauce to add extra protein and the best part is my boyfriend doesn’t notice!

Some shapes can break apart easier than others and the cook time is questionable so always keep an eye on your pot of noodles. Also it boils over easily.

  • Son nuestras pizzas favoritas, son saludables y a todos en mi casa les encantaron, de verdad son deliciosas.

  • If you're looking for the blue box of mac and cheese without the full guilt of the blue box, this is IT!

  • i am a fan of the rotini is a pretty good texture and good macros

  • Recomendo a todos que saboreiem esse delicioso macarrão em suas diversas formas de preparo ! Muito bom .
