Reviews mention

  • Exceptionally soft fleece fabric
  • Comfortable, lived-in feel
  • Attractive colors and stripes
  • Durable through frequent washes
  • Inconsistent sizing across styles
  • Occasional thin sweatshirt material
  • Reported dye bleed and shrinkage
  • Joggers without functional pockets

Aviator Nation earns polarized reviews: the brand delivers exceptionally soft, cozy hoodies and sweatpants that often hold up through frequent wear and washing, yet fit runs large or snug depending on style, designs skew basic, and quality can feel thin. Reviews praise the comfort, colors, and compliments, but flag defects, dye bleed and shrinkage, lack of pockets on joggers, and frustrating exchange policies—making it beloved for feel and aesthetic, but inconsistent on construction and customer experience.

  • “Just feel it!” I say this to my husband anytime I buy something made of a soft and cozy fabric. When I put on this sweatshirt for the first time, he knew being Aviator Nation, it was coming and reached out to feel the sweatshirt before I even asked! Like everything I own from Aviator Nation, this sweatshirt is perfection from the fit to the quality of the fabric. I am 5’4” and 120 pounds and the xs fits perfect! Worth the splurge!

  • purchased for my mom w matching sweatpants for christmas and she gets compliments on it everywhere she goes. So much that I went to buy her the boyfriend tee in another color as well as one for myself. Are the expensive? yes, but the quality is worth it!!

  • I was stealing the set from my husband, I did not care how big they were, I was making it work. But plot twist, they actually feel and fit quite nice! He has both in a size large so I went medium, both in mens or unisex. They are the coziest pair of Aviator Nation sets that I own and this is my first purchase from their mens department. The fit is baggier more s than the womens sizes that are not friendly to ladies with wider hips / thighs / bum. I am a size 24/25 in jeans and even the mediums feel snug some days. The faded green is such a loved item, it is hard to find in store, online is the way to go! 10/10 recommend, as you can see I am buying an identical set LOL. The only reason the rating is 4/5 is because the price is insane for each item.

  • It’s super cute and super duper comfy. My kids and I love it. I love the colors and the varieties available to buy. I wish it wasn’t so expensive because I would buy more for sure! But I like that you can buy at all the major retailers.

  • I have two items from the brand are tie-dye crew neck sweatshirt and a jogger sweatpants in grey with side stripes. Both are extremely soft and comfortable! I have had them for several years and have held up well. I do wish the joggers had pockets.

  • Bigggg fan of Aviator Nation. I've been wearing their hoodies and sweatpants for years, and they're still so comfy. I love the founder story, and I just think their product line + branding is really well done.

  • I have a sweatsuit from Aviator Nation & while it is super cute, I'm not sure I would purchase anything again. It's SO expensive & the quality isn't over the top outstanding. My sweats are on the thinner side. You'd be better off splurging on a company like Madhappy.

  • one of the softest sweatshirts i've ever worn, but the design is slightly basic and the price is prohibitively expensive for a blue hoodie with a few colorful lines-- at that point, i think it's like you're paying for the brand name and little else.

  • I love Aviator Nation from an aesthetic perspective. I think you're mostly paying for the cool factor rather than something that's particularly well-made, but I don't care! It does hold up though. I've been traveling for 4 months with my Aviator Nation sweatshirt as my only sweatshirt. So it gets washed quite frequently and still looks great.

  • Sweatsuit ended up bleeding all over my other clothes in the wash and now everything is lightly dyed pink. Something this expensive should absolutely not be bleeding and shrinking in the wash.

  • I purchased 3 items from Aviator Nation, a pair of sweatpants, a tshirt and a bag. The sweatpants came with white inconsistent marks on the front of the pants, around the private front area to be precise. One of the marks is a different coloured thread sewn into the fabric. The pants are black. I reached out to them and they offered to send me a return label or a $50 credit towards my next purchase. I opted to return them and exchange them. The following day that sent me an email informing me that they cannot send me a label because I’m an international customer and for me to send the pants back at my own cost. Sending from Australia to Los Angeles is very costly. Absolutely ridiculous return policy for a defective item. I will be taking this up with my bank. This must be why they don’t offer PayPal payment… The other two items are perfectly fine but one can’t expect me to walk around with a pair black sweatpants with white markings around the private front area for heavens sake!

  • as if a crappy rag of a sweatshirt that costs 170 isn't enough to keep you away, good luck trying to get customer service to help with a return. it has been 1 week-10 emails, two calls to customer service number that hangs up and then one to an AV nation store during which I was insulted!!! how can they do this to people?!

  • I purchased 2 sweatshirts for my husband and I when they were on sale. They arrived and were HUGE. So, I tried to start an exchange but they were sold out of every size. So, I emailed the company asking for an in store credit since an exchange wasn't available. They told me that because I bought the items on sale, I was not eligible for an in store credit. Considering I have spent over $1,000 at Aviator Nation, this year alone, you would think they would be cognizant of the fact that I am a loyal customer. Aviator Nation just stole $177 from me. Thanks a lot Aviator Nation.
