Reviews mention

  • Convincing beer-like flavor profile
  • Wide, innovative style selection
  • Clear nutritional labeling information
  • Consistently hoppy, robust taste
  • Overly hoppy flavor across styles
  • Occasional shallow flavor depth
  • Carbonation fades relatively quickly
  • Foamy texture causing bloating

Athletic Brewing earns strong reviews for tasting convincingly like “real” beer—with standouts like Run Wild IPA, Free Wave Hazy, Upside Dawn, and All Out—making it a reliable choice for cutting back on alcohol without sacrificing flavor. Reviews also note drawbacks: some find flavors overly hoppy or lacking depth versus regular beer, carbonation can fade and beers can feel foamy/bloating, and the 0.5% ABV isn’t suitable for those needing 0.0%.

  • Better than a regular beer! Athletic Brewing just tastes good! I love that I can enjoy an IPA or mix up a Michelada with their Mexican-style copper. Less calories as well and no desire to slam a six pack so they last you longer. As someone who doesn’t drink alcohol anymore I don’t even feel like I’m missing out on anything with an alternative that tastes this good.

  • As someone who works in content creation, I find Athletic Brewing to be a fantastic choice for those who want the experience of craft beer without the alcohol. Their non-alcoholic brews are flavorful, well-crafted, and perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a cold beer while maintaining a healthier lifestyle. The variety of styles—from IPAs to stouts—is impressive, and each one delivers a rich, satisfying taste that rivals traditional beers. I appreciate that Athletic Brewing uses high-quality ingredients, ensuring a premium experience with every sip. While non-alcoholic beers can sometimes fall short in flavor, Athletic Brewing stands out as a top choice for anyone seeking a delicious, alcohol-free option.

  • Really love the Upside Dawn golden ale and the lite "beer"! Great flavor and perfectly carbonated, they have really nailed the beer taste better than most other NA beers I have tried. Wish they stayed carbonated for a little longer, but that is my only complaint.

  • One of the best NA beers out there and widely available. Always a good go to at any bar. Their hazy IPA is so good, and their app is great for ordering and has a lot of exclusive flavors.

  • Great options that have all the flavor of "real beer". This is a great alternative for people who don't want to consume alcohol and I'm glad it's becoming available even in restaurants!

  • SO GOOD! My husband and I both love these products! The variety is awesome! The calorie count/nutritional content is also incredible - especially if you're working out and counting calories/carbs/macros/etc.

  • One of the better NA beers out there. If a restaurant today has a NA beer on their menu- more than likely it's Athletic Brewing. They are about as close as you can get to tasting like the real deal. Their flavors are pretty spot on to what they are supposed to taste like as well.

  • I'm usually not a big Beer drinker but I'm super interested in finding nonalcoholic options that aren't just sparking juice. When I did drink beer, I preferred dark beers like Guinness. This did taste like beer - just like a light beer. The one I had was very hoppy and light. There were also bubbles that made it fun. It's just not for me - only because of preference.

I would love to try a dark beer version to see if I like it better. This was too light and too hoppy for me. However, if you like the PBR and other light beers, it might be a good substitute.

  • I first drank this at one of my favorite bars in Philly, Johnny Brendas. Did not expect it to be so good. Though I was wondering why I still had the Asian Flush? It’s because there are traces of alcohol! If you aren’t trying to drink any alcohol this is not for you.

After that experience, would not drink again if I’m trying to cut out all alcohol out of my body. Great if you’re trying to take a break. Also N/A would still get you thick.

  • I had a can from my friend and was so surprised with their IPA! I hate IPA, I hate beer, but this stuff is so good WHAT IN THE BLACK MAGIC?!? Would definitely buy mors

  • LOVE that there is now a great tasting non-alcoholic beer option. And the fact that I can both order these (with instant shipping) to my home or grab one at a bar if I'm not feeling like drinking alcohol is amazing.

  • This is my go to as a NA drinker. I had been searching for quality and taste for IPAs and wheat beers that could keep up with the craft beer market. Recommend across the board and are perfect to have in stock for someone who wants to switch on and off from a reg ABV beer. I find it readily stocked in the northeast.

  • It's one of the first to market non-alc beers so it's usually found in most bars and restaurants. However, I'd say, as a previous regular alc beer drinker, Athletic Brewing lacks the deep flavors of a regular beer. It's fine but it's not the best. Heineken 0.0 tastes great and is actually 0.0 alc, not 0.5 like Athletic Brewing. Overall, I think Athletic Brewing is fine but there are better alternatives on the market and at your local brewery.

  • great NA beers without any frills - tons of options and great flavor

  • The OG NA good good! I absolutely love their Hazy IPA. Great for grilling on a Sunday afternoon.

  • I love beer but stopped drinking alcohol because it just doesn't agree with my body. Athletic Brewing has made my N/A craft beer dreams come true. Their IPAs taste like the REAL freakin deal!

Would love to see this product available in retailers near me :)

  • My boyfriend loves these! They're a good alternative when you want to drink an IPA style beer but don't want the alcohol.

  • A great N/A option and is readily available. I do find they can make me a bit bloated.

  • One of the first NA beers I tried and while I don't think anyone would confuse their beers for regular beers, they are a relatively tasty option for those looking to cut alcohol consumption. Is this my first choice on a night out? No. Would I have one ever again? Yes.
