Reviews mention

  • Luxurious, earthy fragrance profiles
  • Elegant, minimalist packaging
  • Indulgent, sensorial hand washes
  • Compliment-worthy, unisex perfumes
  • Excessive, premium price point
  • Inconsistent perfume scent longevity
  • Plastic, leaky pump bottles
  • Irritating, fragrance-heavy skincare

Aesop earns strong reviews for luxurious scents, elegant packaging, and body-care standouts like Resurrection and Reverence Aromatique Hand Washes, yet opinions split on value. Reviews praise sensorial formulas that feel indulgent and often effective for hands and body, while noting weaknesses: high prices, plastic/leaky pumps, perfumes with short longevity, and some skincare that irritates sensitive skin or underperforms.

  • Everything smells divine, I wish I could afford to only use their hand soap

  • My Aesop products come with me on every trip without fail. The quality is so luxe, and the scents are dreamy, and my skincare routine feels like a spa day wherever I go.

  • So hear me out. The price is high but so it's the quality and experience. It will look great in your bathroom (impressing all your guests) and on your skin. From the soap to the mouthwash, from the hand cream to the body wash, every single product smells amazing and feels amazing. You will feel bougie and part of a special Aesop club.

  • always feels like a bit of a splurge for soad, but then I use it and remember it's worth every penny. The scent is amazing and lasts long after you wash your hands. Love the light exfoliation. Great packaging and I always get compliments when we have guests over for the soap in the bathroom.

  • Everything I’ve used from Aesop makes me feel fancy AF. From the facial cleaning oil to the body lotion to the hand soap, everything smells good, feels good, and leaves my skin feeling incredible. It is absolutely too expensive for my everyday life, and yet I still save up to get the cleansing oil because it makes my face look SO GOOD.

  • Love love love all of my products from here! aesthetically pleasing and smells great

  • I’m a lifelong customer of theirs, I will never stop buying their hand soaps.

  • Personally, I don't get the hype. The soap I tried had a weird texture and an average smell.

  • Fan of their products. Thoughtful aesthetic, good mix of hand washes with nice aroma/quality as well as hand creams. Great for household and guest use

  • I've used several Aesop products–their resurrection aromatique hand balm, parsley seed facial cleanser, camellia nut facial hydrating cream, and the rind concentrate body balm. I LOVE their balms (hand and body)–the scents are amazing and the lotion is very hydrating. I didn't love their skincare products, but maybe they just don't agree with my face.

  • Price might be a deterrent, but these feel so luxurious. They really don't miss with the scents. Buying these feels like a real treat.

  • I think their scents are wonderful, and don't smell artificial at all. I use a hand cream mostly for the scent -- doesn't bother me even tho I have sensitive skin -- but I don't feel like it's deeply moisturizing. Love their essential oils. Kinda meh about the face wash - left my face dry (but that could just be because of my skin type).

  • The scent of the hand soap is good, but not as mind blowing as I had been led to believe. I didn’t feel as if the quality really made it worth the hefty price tag. It’s a fun little indulgence, but I won’t be regularly outfitting my sinks with a new bottle.

  • A big fan of all Aesop products - the scents are so fresh and still have a kick to them.

  • Iconic branding. Everything they make looks and feels luxurious. My favourite product is the hand soap. It's a little luxury that makes washing my hands such a joy.

  • I've mainly only tried these products when they were given away to me at events or at hotels. It's got lovely branding and the lotions I've tried have felt nice to me so far.

The price point serves well for a luxury brand but is really what prevents me from going harder for the brand.

  • My favorite "treat myself" product. The exfoliating hand soap is the only hand soap I want to use, and I love the "post poo" drops. Yes, there are many other cheaper alternatives on the market, but the sleek bottle and high quality ingredients are felt and worth the splurge if you want to feel a little more luxurious. Love the smell as well.

Of course, the price point is high. You can tell from the quality of products, but sometimes it's hard to convince myself to take the leap for certain items. For the shampoo and conditioner specifically, I can't tell a quality difference in my hair to justify the relatively higher price point.

  • Product smells amazing, brand experiences excellent, sustainable and safe formulas, everything is great. I think they were one of the first is her to use metal tubes to minimize are plastic but could probably still improve where they’re using a lot of plastic and a lot of packaging in general.

  • Their retail store experiences are exceptional. Scents are unique, comforting, and everything about the overall experience is luxurious.

Some items (such as the Olous room spray) has been difficult to track down but their staff have been very helpful and nice to keep us informed.
