  • Horrible customer service experience. The boots I ordered were too small. I wanted to exchange for a size up. They said I needed to return and reorder. Fine. I returned and their website says it may take up to 11 business days to process refunds. After like 3 weeks I email asking for an update. No answer after a week. Tried 2 more times and then filed a dispute with my credit card company. The very next day they email and say they received the boots and will happily refund me. I told them about the dispute and said that since my credit card company refunded me, all they had to do was not dispute. 2 months later I find out they disputed it. My credit card company recommended I ask for the refund so we could close the dispute and I wouldn't have to submit documents. I emailed them and they said they wouldn't refund me unless I closed the dispute first. Since I didn't trust them I just went through with the dispute providing tracking info and the emails to Capital One. Capital One told me that I needed proof that the boots were too small and I should have taken them to a cobbler and had my feet measured before returning them??? Insane. So they closed the dispute. I emailed Thesus telling them the dispute was closed and asking for the refund. It's been a week and no response. I feel like they planned to scam me all along.

  • I bought these boots February 10, 2023 and on February 16, 2024 they broke. An eyelet on one boot popped right out of the fabric outer layer. There is no reinforcement for the eyelets so there is clear pulling on the other foot where a second eyelet is close to popping out. I spent a lot of time looking for a strong, quality vegan boot that would last me years. I thought I had found them in these boots, but unfortunately I've had Walmart boots that have lasted longer. I don't even hike or use them in any strenuous way. I wear them to walk my dogs and go grocery shopping. I didn't wear them over the summer, so I actually only got 6 to 8 months of use out of these. And because they broke one week beyond the 1-year warranty, support will not do anything. They told me to spend more money by taking them to a shoe repair shop for reinforcement and repair (which I can't find in my city). Given the cost of these boots, it is insane I would have to do this after such a short amount of time. I have since realized they do not post negative reviews on their website as the one I wrote is not there, only 5 star reviews. I would not recommend buying from this company.

  • A few years ago I was looking for an all-weather boot, something sturdy but something I could get away with wearing out and about. Enter the Weekend boot! I found Thesus (which at the time was Alice and Whittles) via the Madewell "Labels we Love" section. I liked that the boots were vegan, handmade in Portugal, and the business was owned and operated by women. There is no ethical consumption under capitalism (no matter how badly we wish it were!) but I felt confident buying these. They also threw in an extra pair of brightly colored laces that I love switching out to other kicks as well as wearing them with the boot. They are perfect for hiking, rainy tailgates, running November errands, kids soccer games--anywhere that a sneaker won't cut it. They did require about 6-10 miles of breaking in!

  • I bought the Weekend Boots back in 2021 as I was beginning my wildlife biology studies and needed some sturdy shoes for all the fieldwork and trekking opportunities that would come my way. I needed a shoe that supported me due to having chronic hip and back pain from hypermobility issues and these shoes have never once left me feeling sore after a long walk or day in the field. My boots have travelled with me into the remote jungle of Borneo, through thick vegetation and tough trekking conditions and have survived it all. I recently purchased a second pair, with the updated style with a zipper which was such a welcome addition!

Note that the shoes are water resistant to rain etc, not to be immersed. I made the mistake of walking through rivers a couple of times and did get wet, but even then it was only slightly. Yet this has affected the metal clasping and they have begun to rust. When its just rain etc though they are perfect at keeping me nice and dry!

  • Quality looks great, but they’re size guide is terribly inaccurate.

    Feedback

Unfortunately, despite carefully measuring my feet, following their size guide and sizing up, these boots are still too small to wear. As they don’t allow returns or refunds outside the US, I have an expensive pair of unusable boots. I happened to order another pair of boots at the same time (from wills vegan store) with no size issues.

  • I'm obsessed with these boots. Not only are they cute (I literally get compliments every time I wear them), but they're also so comfortable and supportive. The inserts make me feel like I'm walking on a cloud! I have the Weekend Boot Z which comes with a zipper so they're perfect for slipping on to walk my dog or to run some errands in the city. I'm in between sizes so I decided to size up to a 9 and they fit perfectly. Will definitely be getting another colour for the spring!

  • I have the Weekend Boots and I truly don't find them to be all that comfortable. Perhaps I need to break them in more, but even with thicker socks, my feet feel raw after a short walk. I had an experience with their customer service that required me to follow up with them a couple times, but they eventually got back to me and went above and beyond to accommodate me.

  • Purchased Terrus clogs in Allegra color. Size 39. Incredibly comfortable and fit true to size.

The shipping box did not have any tape on it and opened very easily. I don’t know if this was a mistake or part of sustainability efforts. The product arrived without damage.

  • These boots are super comfy and I love that they’re vegan since vegan footwear for hiking is super hard to find!

  • The style is amazing. The customer service is great. The material is also wonderful. The shoes run narrow though and not suitable for wide feet. I'm also not sure how to best clean them.

    Feedback

Provide cleaning instructions + make it wider for wide feet.

  • I wanted to love these shoes so much. I measured my foot and chose the right size. I saw they accepted returns if they didn't fit so I felt comfortable ordering them. When I first tried them on and wore them inside they were comfortable and seemed to fit perfectly. So I tried to walk around the block. However, I only made it halfway until they really started to hurt the sides of my feet. It was so painful I had to remove the clogs and walk in sock feet on the sidewalk. I explained this to the customer services and got sent back a generic email about how it was my fault for not measuring and insisting they will not accept my return. Complete waste of money and very disappointed. Needless to say, I will not be trying their other shoes.

    Accept returns!

  • I've been looking for vegan boots that I can wear both for hiking and day-to-day and the Weekend Boot is exactly that. I'm delighted with them. The fit is terrific and the sole wonderfully supportive. I'm in a lifelong blue period so bought the indigo for fun. Am trying to resist buying the navy but it's probably only a matter of time!

  • Great design, comfy, elegent and original. Love it already :)

  • Got the Weekend Boot in Classic Black for Christmas from my girlfriend and love them! She already has a white pair that I would always comment on not knowing that their shoes are unisex - such an awesome surprise! I work downtown Toronto and often go out after with co-workers. These are great for transitioning from the office to the pub around the corner!

  • My Thesus boots are super comfy and one of the most versatile boots I have ever owned. Easy to clean and really great in inclement weather ( mucky terrain, rain, or light snow). I quickly throw them on to walk my kids to school, running errands downtown or the park. They look great with jeans, tights,, shorts or sweats. I do find they fit wide( I have a medium width foot) - so there is lots of room to wear an extra pair of socks when the temperature drops. They are a great transitional boot- I don’t feel out of place wearing them when it’s warmer outside.

  • I love the boots. Beautifully made but they run a half size small. I have been calling and have emailed for a week. No one answers the phone and no calls back or return emails. I need to know how to return as they need to give an authorization. I just want to exchange for a larger size. It’s as though no one works there! Crazy bad customer service!!!

  • The customer experience is terrible, to the point that I'm wondering whether this company's business strategy is to scam people. I was dissatisfied with the product, but the return/refund process is what's making me leave this one-star review. In person, the Thesus boots appeared dull and were much heavier than I expected. I tried them on and they were horribly uncomfortable and tight. I sent them back to Thesus within a couple days. It took Thesus weeks to process the return, and when they did, they gave me a gift credit instead of a credit card refund. Even after I requested a credit card refund and pointed out that I had not authorized a return for gift credit, they would not refund me. I would never recommend anybody buy from this company.

    Bad product. Terrible customer service.

  • Very poor customer services and organization to the point I never got the boots. They were selling boots on their website that they did not have in stock, which only came to light when I emailed asking when I'd receive my order weeks after ordering. Initially tried to blame me as I had asked for a slight delay when a family member died resulting in a need to travel (which they had said was no problem). Then when I called them on that as they still had the boot in my size and colour available for purchase on the website, they admitted it was a stocking issue. They had offered to send another colour, I wasn't happy but said yes. Next email I got said they just refunded me and would give me a gift certificate if I chose to try them out again. So confusing and disappointing. Also never saw that gift certificate.
