  • Flaky, buttery crust texture
  • Gooey, satisfying cheese pull
  • Convenient, straightforward preparation
  • Fun, crowd-pleasing novelty
  • Skimpy, underfilled interior
  • Overly sweet, flat sauce
  • Occasional dryness or oil pooling
  • Inconsistent, finicky cook times

The Pizza Cupcake emerges from reviews as a clever, snackable twist that tastes better than most frozen pizza to many, driven by a flaky, buttery, croissant‑meets‑biscuit crust and gooey cheese, but it divides on flavor balance. Strengths include easy oven/air‑fryer prep and crowd‑pleasing novelty; consistent weaknesses are scant filling, overly sweet or flat sauce, occasional dryness/oil pooling, and uneven cook times, leaving several reviewers uninterested in repurchasing.

  • Found these in a local store and bought because I had seen on Shark Tank. Taste reminded me of o.g. pizza bagels. The dough was the perfect balance of flaky and dense. The cheese pull is what really did it for me.

  • I thought these might be a good thing to have around for a quick snack but ended up not really liking them. The dough was a little sweet, which I found to be sort of odd, and there was also just a lot of dough in general.

  • I purchased the Margherita cupcakes from Walmart (they were $8.99/box when I got them), and baked them in the air fryer. I liked them! Tasty and savory, and definitely an upgrade from hot pockets or pizza rolls. My big gripe is that they are somewhat small and thus not very filling, and given there are only 6 in a box and the box is $8.99 (even more online and at other retailers), enjoying these can get somewhat pricey and they're not THAT extraordinary to warrant the price. I would still recommend trying them though!

  • These were so good! I love the flavor of the crust and it’s very fluffy in the inside while remaining crispy on the outside. A little greasy and a bit pricey. Would definitely buy them again if they’re on sale.

  • It is such a fun product concept and tastes delicious, truly the elevated bagel bite we've all wanted!!

  • I very much like the idea behind them, however, I’ve never put them aside for them to thaw so the middle never got beyond warm within the cooking time. I usually cook 2/3 at a time, but it’s a little wild to me that a serving is 1 cupcake. Overall, I like them but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to buy them

  • These are a nice snack (I tried the pepperoni variety) and a fun twist on savory appetizers. Each one is a nice size. They're pretty expensive-- that might keep me from buying again.

I was a little bummed at how long you have to leave them out before baking-- it means they take a lot longer to prepare than the actual bake time so they aren't actually ready that quickly. I also thought there wasn't enough filling for the amount of dough.

  • Really yummy! I put these in the air fryer after thawing and they came out perfectly crispy on the bottom and soft and melty on the top.

A little pricey for only 1 pepperoni ;)

  • I wanted to like this because it’s inventive and I love pizza. But it shipped in a very bulky box with lots of dry ice that didn’t really keep the product frozen. Each time I’ve cooked these cupcakes, they burn so I do think the cooking instructions need to be updated. Taste wise, the sauce was super sweet and the crust was a bit too flaky for pizza in my opinion. It’s a very fun product that needs just a few tweaks to be great in my opinion.

  • Overall very good! Easy to make and great as a quick snack - the dough is fantastic! Just wish there was a bit more sauce in the cheese option

  • these were incredible. The dough was so soft with a crispy bottom. Very much a grown-up bagel bites but so much better.

No notes, I just wish they were a little cheaper

  • Honestly these taste pretty good!! In college I made a version of these with premade biscuit dough in a muffin pan but this was great that it was none of the effort. After just 12min in the oven, the cheese was super hot and melted. It also shipped super quick after I ordered.

For me, they're just way too expensive. I ate 3 as a snack and that's already 1/4 of the package. Even with the Thingdrop discount $20 for 12 seems high to me so I can't imagine paying $40. It was also a bit oily after baking, but possible that was just the pepperoni.

  • The pizza cupcake is such a fun and delicious way to eat pizza but while i love the brand story and the idea I think the execution needs a little more work!

The ratio of sauce to cheese to crust is off for me. I would definitely like more of the sauce to fill the cupcake more because it gets lost in the cheese. It was a little on the sweet size too I feel if they leaned more into savoury and added some additional seasoning packets these would be perfect! The crust was flaky perfection and the cheese pulled apart perfectly! My biggest gripe is the price! I did get the thingdrop discount but I feel that $40 for 12, is a lot to be a sustainable purchase. I think they’d be fun from time to time.

  • Overall not very impressed mine did not have very much cheese or sauce inside. They are fun concept but is not worth it to me

  • Taste great, high quality ingredients but needs more sauce, a little too dry.

  • Honestly I am so obsessed with these. They remind me of an amazing donut-calzone type thing I tried in Milan that blew my mind. The perfect amount of sweet and savory, so easy to make, such a nice treat to keep on hand.

  • The Pizza cupcake is a very tasty, but expensive pizza snack option. The ingredients are high quality and taste amazing, the only downfalls is you only get 6 cupcakes for around $10-$12. A good indulgence once in awhile but wouldn't purchase regularly unless they were on sale. Taste is 5 stars, price is 2 stars.

  • Pizza in a handheld form is always going to be a winner in my book. I thoroughly enjoyed the pepperoni pizza cupcakes and all their flakey goodness. I haven’t tried the margarita flavor myself but I sent them to a friend once and they mentioned they were good (though pepperoni was their favorite). I will continue to send these out as long as they continue to be delicious! One note: the shipping schedule when I ordered was a little different. You could get your order very quick or it could take a minute depending on which day of the week you order. Just something to look out for

  • Tasted like the diy crescent roll pizza bombs but still delicious. May get pricey
